Enhancing Building Facade Image Segmentation via Object-Wise Processing and cascade U-Net

The growing demand for energy-efficient solutions has led to increased interest in analyzing building facades,as buildings contribute significantly to energy consumption in urban ***,conventional image segmentation methods often struggle to capture fine details such as edges and contours,limiting their effectiveness in identifying areas prone to energy *** address this challenge,we propose a novel segmentation methodology that combines object-wise processing with a two-stage deep learning model,cascade ***-wise processing isolates components of the facade,such as walls and windows,for independent analysis,while cascade U-Net incorporates contour information to enhance segmentation *** methodology involves four steps:object isolation,which crops and adjusts the image based on bounding boxes;contour extraction,which derives contours;image segmentation,which modifies and reuses contours as guide data in cascade U-Net to segment areas;and segmentation synthesis,which integrates the results obtained for each object to produce the final segmentation *** to a dataset of Korean building images,the proposed method significantly outperformed traditional models,demonstrating improved accuracy and the ability to preserve critical structural ***,we applied this approach to classify window thermal loss in real-world scenarios using infrared images,showing its potential to identify windows vulnerable to energy ***,our cascade U-Net,which builds upon the relatively lightweight U-Net architecture,also exhibited strong performance,reinforcing the practical value of this *** approach offers a practical solution for enhancing energy efficiency in buildings by providing more precise segmentation results.

A radiation hard phase-locked loop （PLL） is designed at 2.5 GHz using silicon on sapphire complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor process. Radiation hardness is achieved through improving circuit design without sacrificing real estate. Stability is guaranteed by a fully self-bias architecture. The lock time of PLL is minimized by maximizing the loop bandwidth. Frequency tuning range of voltage controlled oscillator is significantly enhanced by a novel load configuration. In addition, multiple bias stages, asynchronous frequency divider, and silicon on sapphire process jointly make the proposed PLL more radiation hard. Layout of this PLL is simulated by cadence Spectre RF under both single event effect and total induced dose effect. Simulation results demonstrate excellent stability, lock time 〈 600 ns, frequency tuning range [1.57 GHz, 3.46 GHz], and jitter 〈 12 ps. Through comparison with PLLs in literatures, the PLL is especially superior in terms of lock time and frequency tuning range performances.

AIM To evaluated vascular dynamic processes in the liver of hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia(HHT) patients by ultrasound(US) considering quantitative analytic methods. METHODS The imaging features on US and contrast-enhanced ultrasound(cEUS) in 18 patients diagnosed with HHT were retrospectively analyzed. Regarding cEUS, realtime contrast harmonic imaging and sulfur hexafluoridefilled microbubbles were used. RESULTS HVa Ms were identified in all 18 patients. By US, the two major caselitz criteria could be detected in 55.6% patients. "color spots" were detected in 72.2% of the cases. Respecting sonographic grading criteria by Buscarini, grade 3 could be demonstrated most frequent(40%). By cEUS, all the patients showed quick and early hyperenhancement during the arterial phase. Significant lowest time to peak(TTP) and highest area under the curve(AUc) values were identified in the hepatic artery(TTP: 69.8%; AUc: 100%) and highest TTP and lowest AUc in the hepatic parenchyma and the portal vein. cONcLUSION For the first time we analyzed cEUS findings of a group of HHT patients regarding macro- and microcirculation. Our data demonstrate significant differences in TTP and AUc values in the four selected regions: hepatic artery, shunt region, portal vein and hepatic parenchyma.

An extended-gate field effect transistor (EGFET)of SnO_2/ITO glass was applied to manufacture the vitamin c ***,we immobilized the ascorbate oxidase with 3-glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane (GPTS)method to measure the different concentrations of the vitamin c solution in an optimum measurement *** order to find the best measurement conditions of the biosensor,we studied the vitamin c sensor in different pH values of the phosphate buffer solution (PBS).Additionally,we used experimental results to discuss the response time and response voltage to compare vitamin c with orange juice for the vitamin c sensor.

More precisely, the following asymptotic property is proved： Let X be a real （or complex） normed space. In recent years,the expansion of renewable energy in electric power systems has been increasing at such a rapid pace that it has started affecting frequency *** generators connected to the grid produce variable amounts of power,and in most cases have no inherent inertia response(IR)to the system ***,the high penetration of renewable generators in the system results in low inertia and frequency *** renewable generators account for a high proportion of the supply in a power system,the use of energy storage systems(ESSs)with frequency-support algorithms(in the place of synchronous generators)can stabilize the *** participation of ESSs in frequency support must be organized precisely,so that they are fully devoted to their own *** this paper,the frequency-support parameters of ESSs are calculated for achieving stable frequency response from a *** estimation and calibration process is conducted during the active power-order change of the ESSs in the substation,and is verified through electromagnetic-transients-including-Dc(EMTDc)-based simulations.

Mechanically durable transparent electrodes are essential for achieving long-term stability in flexible optoelectronic ***,they are crucial for applications in the fields of energy,display,healthcare,and soft *** meshes represent a promising alternative to traditional,brittle,metal oxide conductors due to their high electrical conductivity,optical transparency,and enhanced mechanical *** this paper,we present a simple method for fabricating an ultra-transparent conducting metal oxide mesh electrode using selfcracking-assisted *** this method,we produced an electrode with ultra-transparency(97.39%),high conductance(Rs=21.24Ωsq^(−1)),elevated work function(5.16 eV),and good mechanical *** also evaluated the effectiveness of the fabricated electrodes by integrating them into organic photovoltaics,organic light-emitting diodes,and flexible transparent memristor devices for neuromorphic computing,resulting in exceptional device *** addition,the unique porous structure of the vanadium-doped indium zinc oxide mesh electrodes provided excellent flexibility,rendering them a promising option for application in flexible optoelectronics.

This paper developed a new method that adaptively adjusts a design space by considering the actual solution distribution of a problem to overcome the conventional design-space adaptation method that assumes the solutions distribution to be a normal distribution because the distributions of solutions are rarely normal distributions for real-world *** developed method was applied to nineteen multiobjective test functions that are widely used to evaluate the characteristics and performance of optimization *** results showed that this method adapted the design space to an appropriate design space where the solution existence probability was *** optimization performance achieved using the developed method was higher than that of the conventional ***,the developed method was applied to the conceptual design of an unmanned spacecraft to confirm its validity in real-world design and multidisciplinaryoptimization *** results showed that the Pareto solutions of the developed method were superior to those of conventional ***,the optimization efficiency with the developed method was improved by more than 1.4 times over that of the conventional *** this regard,the developed method has the potential to be applied to complicated real-world optimization problems to achieve better performance and efficiency.

Background:cholangiocarcinoma was considered as a dismal disease with very poor prognosis until *** is increasingly found due to increased life *** surgical and medical management were advanced recently,data on the prognosis,especially extrahepatic cholangio-carcinoma(Ecc),were *** study aimed to identify clinicopathologic features and prognosis of patients with ***:Patients followed up and diagnosed with Ecc between January 2014 and December 2016 at a tertiary hospital were included,whereas those with intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma,gallbladder cancer,and ampullary cancer were ***:A total of 83 patients were followed after the treatment(49 men and 34 women;median age 73.3 years).cancer location was classified as distal common bile duct(25 patients),proximal com-mon bile duct(24 patients),common hepatic duct(20 patients),and hilar(14 patients).About 14.5%of patients had history of another malignant neoplasm,and 24.1%patients had chronic ***-cal resection was performed in 54 patients(65%)and dysplasia was combined in 63%(34/54).Adjuvant chemotherapy was performed in 54%(29/54),but only 7 underwent palliative chemotherapy in 29 non-surgical *** median overall survival in all patients was 30.9 *** analyzing the treatment modality,median survival of adjuvant chemotherapy,surgery only,palliative chemotherapy,and support-ive care groups were 42.9,30.9,12.0,and 8.9 months,respectively(Pcox regression analy-sis of survival,age,surgical resection,chemotherapy,and comorbidity were significant prognostic factors,and the comorbidity was the only significant prognostic factor in the multivariable analysis(hazard ratio[HR]=2.80;95%cI:1.32–5.95;P=0.007).In a subgroup analysis of surgical patients,the presence of dysplasia was a favorable prognostic factor in the multivariable analysis(HR=0.29;95%cI:0.09–0.91;P=0.033).conclusions:The overall survival of patients with Ecc wa
