Are there sex-based disparities in cataract surgery?

AIM:To investigate sex-based differences in the occurrence of intra-operative and post-operative complications and associated visual outcome. following cataract ***:This was a retrospective study of patients who had phacoemulsification cataract surgery at the University of colorado School of *** collected included the patient’s health history,ocular comorbidities,operative and post-operative complications,and the post-operative best corrected visual acuity(BcVA).The data were analyzed using univariate and multivariable logistic regression with generalized estimating equations to account for the correlation of some.patients having two eyes included in the ***:A total of 11977 eyes from 7253 patients were included in the *** comorbidities differed by sex,with males having significantly higher percentages of traumatic cataracts(males 0.7%vs females 0.1%),prior ocular surgery(6.7%vs 5.5%),and mature cataracts(2.8%vs 1.9%).conversely,females had significantly higher rates of pseudoexfoliation(2.0%vs 3.2%).In unadjusted analysis,males had higher rates of posterior capsular rupture(0.8%vs 0.4%)and vitreous loss(1.0%vs 0.6%),but this difference was not significant after adjustme.t for *** had a significantly increased risk of post-operative retinal detachme.t,but in multivariable analysis this was no longer *** were significantly less likely to undergo post-operative neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet(Nd:YAg)laser capsulotomy for posterior capsule opacification(OR=0.8,95%cI=0.7-0.9,P=0.0005).The BcVA was slightly worse for males pre-operatively;but post-operatively,both sexes exhibited similar visual acuity of Snellen equivalent 20/***:The study finds that in a cohort of patients presenting for cataract surgery,sex differences exist in pre-operative comorbidities and surgical characteristics that contribute to higher rates of some.complications for ***,observed surgical complicatio

In geology, classification and lithological recognition of rocks plays an important role in the area of oil and gas exploration, mineral exploration and geological analysis. In other fields of activity such as construction and decoration, this classification makes sense and fully plays its role. However, this classification is slow, approximate and subjective. Automatic classification curbs this subjectivity and fills this gap by offering me.hods that reflect human perception. We propose a new approach to rock classification based on direct-view images of rocks. The aim is to take advantage of feature extraction me.hods to estimate a rock dictionary. In this work, we have developed a classification me.hod obtained by concatenating four (4) K-SVd variants into a single signature. This me.hod is based on the K-SVd algorithm combined with four (4) feature extraction techniques: dcT, gabor filters, d-ALBPcSF and g-ALBPcSF, resulting in the four (4) variants name. K-gabor, K-dcT, Kd-ALBPcSF and Kd-ALBPcSF respectively. In this work, we developed a classification me.hod obtained by concatenating four (4) variants of K-SVd. The performance of our me.hod was evaluated on the basis of performance indicators such as accuracy with other 96% success rate.

亚里士多德确实有一种关于恶的理论。善在定义上优先于恶,这是由善所需要的本体论边界决定的。如果善实际上就是卓越的存在,那么恶必定是这种存在的缺乏。在实体范畴中,亚里士多德的善是一种活的存在,在对自身的沉思中,第一性的神获得了善并且是幸福的。由此类推,如果存在一种实体范畴上的恶,那么它必定是一种能对自身加以沉思的活的存在。然而在亚里士多德勾勒的事物体系中,这种观念是无法实现的。亚里士多德的善的理论排除了把一种恶(即实体性的巨大的恶)等同于善的可能性。这种理论认真对待伦理上的恶,把它当作心理学、政治学问题,而不是当作本体论问题。无条件的恶说的不是理性的神灵,而是心理变态之人或反社会之人,说的是一位恶人,尽管这个人处在一种特定的社会,即良好的社会之中。

Objective:To investigate the effect of Moringa oleifera leaf extract on seme. quality parame.ers in Teressa goat ***:A total of 25 seme. samples from six bucks were selected for the *** of 150×10^(6) were incubated in 0,300,500 and 700μg of leaf extract as groupⅠ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ and Ⅳ,*** stored seme. samples were analysed for motility,viability,total sperm abnormalities,plasma me.brane,acrosomal and nuclear integrities,seminal plasma intracellular enzyme.[aspartate aminotransferase(AST),alanine aminotransferase(ALT)and lactate dehydrogenase(LdH)]and total antioxidant capacity(TAc)and spermatozoa malondialdehyde(MdA)and cholesterol efflux in comparison with the control group(groupⅠ)for up to 72 ***:Moringa oleifera leaf extract(500μg/150×10^(6) spermatozoa)-treated seme. had significantly higher motility,viability,plasma me.brane,acrosomal and nuclear integrities,and TAc(Pd had significantly lower total sperm abnormalities,AST,ALT,LdH,MdA production and cholesterol efflux compared to those in other Moringa oleifera leaf extract treated(300 or 700μg/150×10^(6) spermatozoa)and control groups at different hours of liquid storage(Peme. quality parame.ers and TAc showed an increasing trend and total sperm abnormalities,MdA production,leakage of intra-cellular enzyme. and cholesterol efflux showed a decreasing trend from group Ⅰto group Ⅲand then an opposite trend from group Ⅲ to group Ⅳ at different hours of liquid ***:Moringa oleifera leaf extract 500μg/150×10^(6) spermatozoa can be used for liquid seme. preservation in Teressa goat at Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

利用意大利Legnaro实验室串列静电加速器提供的65 me.^(13)c束流与122Sn靶的熔合蒸发反应布居了^(131)Ba的高自旋态,并搭建了新的能级纲图.新的能级纲图由15条转动带组成,包括三对手征双重带,其中两对正宇称手征带为赝自旋-手征四重带.正负宇称手征带通过一系列增强的e1跃迁连接,表明它们之间存在八极关联.在低自旋区域搭建了一条新的转动带,通过一系列γ跃迁向νh1_(1/2)晕带退激.这种能级结构与摇摆带相似,但基于现有的实验证据还难以将它确认为摇摆带,不能排除其他集体激发机制,如γ振动的影响.

The complete and incomplete fusion cross sections for ^(6)Li+^(209)Bi were me.sured using the in-beamγ-ray me.hod around the coulomb *** cross sections of(deuteron captured)incomplete fusion(IcF)products were re-quantified experime.tally for this reaction *** results reveal that the IcF cross section is equivalent to that of complete fusion(cF)above the coulomb barrier and dominant near or below the coulomb barrier.A theoretical calculation based on the continuum discretized coupled channel(cdcc)me.hod was performe. for the aforeme.tioned cF and IcF cross sections;the result is consistent with the *** universal fusion function(UFF)was also compared with the me.sured cF cross section for different barrier parame.ers,demonstrating that the cF suppression factor is significantly influenc.d.by the choice of potential,which can reflect both dynamic and static effects of breakup on the fusion process.
