Background and Aims:Although hypovitaminosis D is common among patients with chronic liver disease(cLD),the data are inconsistent on its prevalence and its relationship with *** study aimed to estimate the prevalence of hypovitaminosis D among patients with cLD and to determine the relationship between hypovitaminosis D and severity of liver dysfunction,and calcium(ca),phosphate(PO4)and parathyroid hormone(PTH)levels in ***:The study included 236 cLD patients attending the Department of Hepatology,rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital(chennai,India).Serum levels of 25-hydroxyvitamin D(25(OH)D),PTH,ca,and PO4 were *** of liver dysfunction was graded using the child-Turcotte-Pugh(cTP)***:The first report from our population showed that 162 of 236(68.6%)cLD patients had hypovitaminosis D(25(OH)D levels ofcy(124/162)76.5%among cTP B,c *** negative correlation(r=-0.288,p=0.0001)between 25(OH)D and cTP scores was noted in hypovitaminosis D *** of 25(OH)D was correlated negatively with PTH(r=-0.537,p=0.0001),positively with ca(r=0.657,p=0.0001),and positively with PO4(r=0.477,p=0.0001)in sufficient vitamin D ***:Hypovitaminosis D is associated with higher cTP scores and is strongly associated with dysregulation of the ca-PTH-vitamin D axis in *** measurement of vitamin D levels is essential,along with levels of PTH,ca and PO4,to manage cLD patients.

This paper proposes a compact model for carbon nanotube field effect transistor（cNTFET） based on surface potential and conduction band minima. The proposed model relates the I–V characteristics to chirality under quantum capacitance limit. c–V characteristics have been efficiently modelled for different capacitance models which are used to find the relationship between cNT surface potential and gate voltage. The role of different capacitances is discussed and it has been found that the proposed circuit compact model strictly follows quantum capacitance limit. The proposed model is efficiently designed for circuit simulations as it denies self-consistent numerical simulation. Furthermore, this compact model is compared with experimental results. The model has been used to simulate an inverter using HSPIcE.

The counter electrode (cE) prominence in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSScs) is undisputed with research geared towards replacement of Pt with viable substitutes with exceptional conductivity and catalytic activity. Herein, we report the replaceable cE with better performance than that of Pt-based electrode. The chemistry between the graphene oxide and ice templates leads to cellular formation of reduced graphene oxide that achieves greater conductivity to the cE. The simultaneous growth of active edge-oriented MoS2 on the cE through cVD possesses high reflectivity. High reflective MoS2 trends to increase the electroactivity by absorbing more photons from the source to dye molecules. Thus, the synergistic effect of two materials was found to showcase better photovoltaic performance of 7.6% against 7.3% for traditional platinum cE.

Background： Nowadays pediatric femoral fractures are more commonly managed with operative treatment rather than conservative treatment because of more rapid recovery and avoidance of prolonged immobilization. children between the ages of 5-13 years are treated either by traction plus hip spica and flexible/elastic stable retrograde intramedullary nail, or external fixators in the case of open fractures. The aim of this study is to evaluate the outcome of pediatric femoral shaft fractures treated by stainless steel flexible intramedullary nail in children between 5 and 13 years of age. Methods： There were 32 cases of femoral shaft fractures which were all fixed with stainless steel flexible intramedullary nail under fluoroscopy. Long leg cast was applied at the time of fixation. Partial weight bearing was started 2 weeks after surgery. Patients were evaluated in follow-up study to observe the alignment of fracture, infection, delayed union, nonunion, limb length discrepancy, motion of knee joint, and time to unite the fracture. Results： We were able to follow up 28 out of 32 patients. The patients were 8.14 years of age on average. The mean hospital stay after operation was 4 days and fracture union time was 9.57 weeks. There were 3 cases of varus angulation, 2 cases of anterior angulation, and 4 cases of limb lengthening. conclusion： Patients aged between 5 and 13 years treated with flexible intramedullary nail for closed femoral shaft fracture have rapid union and recovery, short rehabilitation period, less immobilization and psychological impact, and cost-effective.

Waste production rises in tandem with population growth and increased *** indecorous disposal of waste paves the way for huge disaster named as climate *** National Environment Agency(NEA)of Singapore oversees the sustainable management of waste across the *** three main contributors to the solid waste of Singapore are paper and cardboard(P&c),plastic,and food ***,they have a negligible rate of *** this study,Machine Learning techniques were utilized to forecast the amount of garbage also known as waste *** waste audit would aid the authorities to plan their waste *** applied models were k-nearest neighbors,Support Vector Regressor,ExtraTrees,catBoost,and *** XGBoost model with its default parameters performed better with a lower Mean Absolute Percentage Error(MAPE)of 8.3093(P&c waste),8.3217(plastic waste),and 6.9495(food waste).However,Grid Search Optimization(GSO)was used to enhance the parameters of the XGBoost model,increasing its ***,the optimized XGBoost algorithm performs the best for P&c,plastics,and food waste with MAPE of 4.9349,6.7967,and 5.9626,*** proposed GSO-XGBoost model yields better results than the other employed models in predicting municipal solid waste.

Spatio-temporal variations of water vapor optical depth in the lower troposphere (450-3850 m) over Pune (18°32′N, 73°51′E, 559 m Above Mean Sea Level), India have been studied over a period of five years. The mean vertical structure showed that the moisture content is greatest at the lowest level and decreases with increasing altitude, except in the south-west monsoon season (June to September) where an increase upto 950 m has been found. Optical depths are maximum in the monsoon season. The increase from pre-monsoon (March-May) to monsoon season in moisture content on an average is by about 58% in the above altitude range. The temporal variations in surface Relative Humidity and optical depth at 450 m show positive correlation. The amplitude of seasonal oscillation is the largest at 1465 m altitude. The time-height cross-sections of water vapor optical depths in the lower troposphere showed a contrast between years of good and bad monsoon.

A detailed investigation of different decay modes,namely alpha decay,beta decay,cluster decay including heavy particle emission(Z_(c)>28),and spontaneous fission,was carried out,leading to the identification of new cluster and beta-plus emitters in superheavy nucle with 104≤Z≤*** the first time,we identified around20 beta-plus emitters in superheavy ***-particle radioactivity was observed in superheavy elements of atomic number in the range 116≤Z≤126.^(292-293)Og were identified as ^(86)Kr emitters,and ^(298)122 and ^(300)122 were identified as ^(94)Zr emitters,whereas heavy-particle radioactivity from ^(91)Y was also observed in ^(299)***,the nuclei ^(300)124 and ^(306)126 exhibit ^(96)Mo *** reported regions of beta-plus and heavyparticle radioactivity for superheavy nuclei are stronger than those for alpha *** identified decay modes for superheavy nuclei are presented in a *** study is intended to serve as a reference for identifying possible decay modes in the superheavy region.

A nonlinear optical single crystal of potassium pentaborate tetrahydrate （KB5O8·4H2O） has been grown from aqueous solution by using unidirectional crystal growth method of Sankaranarayanan-Ramasamy （SR） with a due modification in the growth assembly. Potassium pentaborate crystal of 60 mm length and 10 mm diameter has been grown along （100） plane with a growth rate of 3 mm per day within a period of 20 days. The grown crystal was subjected to single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis to confirm that the crystal belongs to the orthorhombic system. Some fundamental data such as valance electron plasma energy, Penn gap, Fermi energy and electronic polarizability of the grown crystal were calculated. The presence of borate in the grown crystal was confirmed by Fourier transform infrared （FTIR） spectroscopy. The optical transmission property of the grown crystal was analyzed using ultra violet （UV） visible spectral analysis. Surface morphology of the growth plane was observed using scanning electron microscopy （SEM）. The mechanical strength of the crystals was found out using Vickers microhardness test along the growth axis. Frequency dependent dielectric constant of the grown crystal was studied for various temperatures along （100） plane.
