Graphene oxide is a promising adsorption material. However, it has been diffic.lt to rec.c.e and separate graphene oxide in the solution. To alleviate this problem, graphene oxide was thermally reduc.d to produc. porous hydrogel whic. was then func.ionalized with polydopamine. The func.ional groups ac. as not only adsorption sites but also nuc.eation sites for in situ c.ystallization of c.balt-doped zeolitic.imidazolate-framework-8 nano-adsorbents. The effec.s of c.balt-doping c.ntents on the physic.c.emic.l and adsorption properties of the resulting aerogel were also evaluated by varying the c.balt c.nc.ntration. For instanc., the reduc.d graphene oxide-polydopamine/50c.balt-zeolitic.imidazolate-framework-8 aerogel exhibited a high surfac. area of 900 m(2)g(-1) and maintained the struc.ure in water after ten days. The assynthesized aerogels showed an ultrahigh adsorption c.pac.ty of 1217 +/- 24.35 mgg(-1) with a removal effic.enc. of > 99% of lead, as well as exc.llent adsorption performanc. toward other heavy metals, suc. as c.pper and c.dmium with adsorption c.pac.ty of 1163 +/- 34.91 and 1059 +/- 31.77 mgg(-1), respec.ively. More importantly, the lead adsorption stabilized at 1023 +/- 20.5 mgg(-1) with a removal effic.enc. of > 80% after seven c.c.es, indic.ting their potential in heavy metal removal from industrial wastewater.

Let R be a ring (not nec.ssarily c.mmutative) with identity 1 and let c. ( R ) be its c.ean graph. In this paper, we investigate the genus number of the c.mpac. Riemann surfac. in whic. c. ( R ) c.n be embedded and explic.tly determine all c.mmutative rings R (up to isomorphism) suc. that c. ( R ) has genus at most two. It is shown that for any Artinian ring R, c. ( R ) is a projec.ive graph if and only if R is isomorphic.to F-4 . Furthermore, we determine all isomorphism c.asses of c.mmutative rings whose c.ean graphs have c.ossc.p two.

Purpose:To investigate whic. sc.ring system is the most ac.urate tool in predic.ing mortality among the infec.ed patients who present to the emergenc. department in a middle-inc.me c.untry,and to validate a new sc.ring system to predic. bac.erial ***:This was a retrospec.ive,single-c.nter study among patients who were admitted via the emergenc. department of a public.*** patients who were started on antibiotic. were inc.uded in the study,while patients agedc.llec.ed inc.udeding patients'demographic.,vital signs and basic.laboratory parameters like white blood c.ll c.unt and *** sensitivity and spec.fic.ty of different sc.ring systems were c.lc.lated as well as their negative and positive predic.ive *** regression was used to derive a novel early warning system for bac.erial *** area under the rec.iver operating c.arac.eristic.AUROc.was c.mputed for eac. sc.ring ***:In total,109 patients were inc.uded in this *** quic. sequential organ failure assessment(qSOFA),searc. out severity and rapid ac.te physiology sc.re had the highest AUROc.≥0.89)for predic.ing mortality,while qSOFA and universal vital assessment were the simplest sc.ring systems with an AUROc.0.85;however,these sc.ring systems failed to predic. whether patients were truly *** INFEc.IONS(short for impaired mental status,not c.nsc.ous,fast heart rate,elevated c.eatinine,high temperature,on inotrope,low oxygen,high neutrophils and high sugar)model reac.ed an AUROc.of 0.88 to more ac.urately predic. the infec.ious state of a ***:Middle-inc.me c.untries should use the qSOFA or universal vital assessment sc.re to identify the sic.est patients in emergenc. *** INFEc.IONS sc.re may help rec.gnize patients with bac.erial infec.ions,but it should be further validated in multiple c.untries prior to widely use.

This study investigates the relationship between c.rc.lation patterns and austral summer temperature anomalies in southern Afric.. The results show that the formation of c.ntinental lows tends to inc.ease the thic.ness of the lower atmosphere. Further, the distinc. variabilities of high and low pressure under the c.rc.lation types, influenc. air mass advec.ion from the adjac.nt oc.ans, as well as atmospheric.stability over land. Stronger antic.c.onic.c.rc.lation at the western branc. of the Masc.rene high-pressure system enhanc.s the low-level c.ld air advec.ion by southeast winds,dec.eases the thic.ness, and lowers the temperature over a majority of the land in southern Afric.. c.nversely, a weaker Masc.rene High, c.upled with enhanc.d c.c.onic.ac.ivity in the southwest Indian Oc.an inc.eases low-level warm air advec.ion and inc.eases temperature anomalies over vast regions in southern Afric.. The ridging of a c.osed South Atlantic.antic.c.one at the southern c.ast of southern Afric. results in c.lder temperatures near the tip of southern Afric. due to enhanc.d low-level c.ld air advec.ion by southeast winds. However, when the ridge is weak and westerly winds dominate the southern c.ast of southern Afric., these areas experienc. temperature inc.eases. The northward trac. of the Southern Hemisphere mid-latitude c.c.one, whic. c.n be linked to the negative Southern Annular Mode, reduc.s the temperature in the southwestern part of southern Afric.. Also, during the analysis period, El Ni?o was assoc.ated with temperature inc.eases over the c.ntral parts of southern Afric.;while the positive Indian Oc.an dipole was linked to a temperature inc.ease over the northeastern, northwestern, and southwestern parts of southern Afric..

c.nsidering the large number of returns in online sales and the network externalities of e-platforms, we develop a dec.ntralized model and a c.ntralized model to explore the impac.s of returns and network externalities on e-c.mmerc. supply c.ain (Ec.c. dec.sions. We show that in the dec.ntralized model, the servic. level, pric., market demand, and Ec.c.members' profits inc.ease with the network externality strength. However, the servic. level and pric. inc.ease, while the market demand and Ec.c.members' profits dec.ease with the produc. return rate. The c.ntralized model is the optimal operating mode when it is properly c.ordinated. We design the "c.mmission and return c.st-sharing" c.ntrac. to optimize Ec.c. in whic. the proportion of the e-platform's sharing of the return handling c.st is exac.ly equal to the proportion of the system profit after c.ordination. Based on the dec.ntralized model, we develop two extended models in whic. we endogenize the impac.s of the servic. level and return rate on the network externality strength. Through c.mparisons between the extended and dec.ntralized models, we show that high-quality servic. c.n improve Ec.c.s profitability, while a high return rate hurts its ec.nomic.performanc..

Bac.ground: Physic.l inac.ivity is a major public.health problem worldwide that results in physic.l and mental health problems. One major issue for physic.l inac.ivity is weight stigma (WS), espec.ally perc.ived WS, whic. c.uld lead to a tendenc. to avoid physic.l ac.ivity (PA). To better understand the assoc.ation between perc.ived WS and PA, knowledge of the likely mediators in this assoc.ation suc. as weight bias internalization (WBI) and psyc.ologic.l distress were investigated in the present study. Methods: Using a two-wave longitudinal study and c.nvenient sampling, 388 Taiwanese partic.pants (55% females; mean age = 29.7 years [SD ± 6.3]) c.mpleted two surveys six months apart. Body mass index (BMI), Perc.ived Weight Stigma Sc.le (PWSS), Weight Bias Internalization Sc.le (WBIS), Depression, Anxiety, Stress Sc.le (DASS-21), and Tendenc. to Avoid Physic.l Ac.ivity and Sport Sc.le (TAPAS) were assessed. Results: A mediation model c.ntrolling for age, gender, and BMI with 5000 bootstrapping resamples was performed. Perc.ived WS exerted signific.nt direc. effec.s on WBI (β = 0.25; p c.ologic.l distress (β = 0.15; p = 0.003), and tendenc. to avoid PA (β =0.10;p = 0.027); WBI exerted a signific.nt direc. effec. on tendenc. to avoid PA (β = 0.47; p c. effec.s of WBI and psyc.ologic.l distress on the assoc.ation between perc.ived WS and tendenc. to avoid PA were 0.12 and 0.01, respec.ively. c.nc.usion: Given the direc. assoc.ation of perc.ived WS on the tendenc. to avoid PA and the mediating role of WBI in this assoc.ation, interventions addressing perc.ived WS and WBI may c.ntribute to promoting PA. Therefore, health interventionists (both when planning and exec.ting PA programs) need to c.nsider weight stigmawhen enc.uraging physic.l ac.ivity. © 2024 The Authors.
