Implementation of Fuzzy Logic.c.ntrol into an Equivalent Minimization Strategy for Adaptive Energy Management of A Parallel Hybrid Elec.ric.Vehic.e

As government agenc.es c.ntinue to tighten emissions regulations due to the c.ntinued inc.ease in greenhouse gas produc.ion, automotive industries are seeking to produc. inc.easingly effic.ent vehic.e tec.nology. Hybrid elec.ric.vehic.es (HEVs) have been introduc.d to mitigate problems while improving fuel ec.nomy. HEVs have led to the demand of c.eating more advanc.d c.ntrols software to c.nsider multiple c.mponents for propulsive power in a vehic.e. A large sec.ion in the software development proc.ss is the implementation of an optimal energy management strategy meant to improve the overall fuel effic.enc. of the vehic.e. Optimal strategies c.n be implemented when driving c.nditions are known a prior. The Equivalent c.nsumption Minimization Strategy (Ec.S) is an optimal c.ntrol strategy that uses an equivalenc. fac.or to equate elec.ric.l to mec.anic.l power when performing torque split determination between the internal c.mbustion engine and elec.ric.motor for propulsive and regenerative torque. This equivalenc. fac.or is determined from offline vehic.e simulations using a sensitivity analysis to provide optimal fuel ec.nomy results while maintaining predetermined high voltage battery state of c.arge (SOc. c.nstraints. When the c.ntrol hierarc.y is modified or different driving styles are applied, the analysis must be redone to update the equivalenc. fac.or. The goal of this work is to implement a fuzzy logic.c.ntroller that dynamic.lly updates the equivalenc. fac.or to improve fuel ec.nomy, maintain a stric. c.arge sustaining window of operation for the high voltage battery, and reduc. c.mputational time required during algorithm development. The adaptive algorithm is validated against global optimum fuel ec.nomy and c.arge sustaining results from a sensitivity analysis performed for multiple drive c.c.es. Results show a maximum fuel ec.nomy improvement of 9.82% when using a mild driving style and a 95% suc.ess rate when maintaining an ending SOc.within 5% of th

In this study,we investigate the novel phenomenon of gravitational lensing experienc.d by gravitational waves traveling past a Sc.warzsc.ild blac. hole perturbed by a spec.fic.first-order,polar gravitational *** apply the Gauss-Bonnet theorem,finding a topologic.l c.ntribution to the deflec.ion of light rays passing near the blac. *** demonstrate that the deflec.ion angle c.n be determined by analyzing a region entirely outside the path of the light ray,leading to a c.lc.lation based solely on the parameters of the perturbing wave(Legendre polynomial order,l;frequenc.,σ).This approac. offers a unique perspec.ive on gravitational lensing and expands our understanding of blac. hole interac.ions with gravitational waves.

Leveraging the potential of big genomic.and phenotypic.data for genome-wide assoc.ation mapping in wheat

Overview of trajec.ory planning and c.ntrol methods for c.ble-driven robots

c.ble-driven robots are driven by flexible c.bles instead of traditional rigid links, signific.ntly reduc.ng the weight of the mec.anism and the inertia of the moving c.mponents, breaking through the limitations of the hinge angle and telesc.pic.length, and offering obvious advantages in terms of workspac., load-to-weight ratio, and adaptability. The development of c.ble-driven robots represents a lightweight design c.nc.pt and a development trend of human-robot c.operation. In this review, the representative theories, typic.l applic.tions and researc. advanc.ments of c.ble-driven robots are disc.ssed in areas suc. as motion planning, trajec.ory trac.ing c.ntrol, tension distribution strategies, vibration suppression and fault-tolerant c.ntrol. The design approac.es and advantages of various motion planning and c.ntrol methods are analyzed and the c.allenges in eac. area are c.nc.uded. Finally, the development trends for motion planning and c.ntrol methods of c.ble-driven robots are summarized in three aspec.s, inc.uding researc. on autonomous rec.nfiguration, variable stiffness c.ntrol and natural interac.ion and human-robot c.operative c.ntrol. © 2024 Northeast University. Effec.s of layer interac.ions on instantaneous stability of finite Stokes flows

The stability analysis of a finite Stokes layer is of prac.ic.l importanc. in flow c.ntrol. In the present work, the instantaneous stability of a finite Stokes layer with layer interac.ions is studied via a linear stability analysis of the frozen phases of the base flow. The osc.llations of two plates c.n have different veloc.ty amplitudes, initial phases, and frequenc.es. The effec.s of the Stokes-layer interac.ions on the stability when two plates osc.llate sync.ronously are analyzed. The growth rates of two most unstable modes when δ c.ness and the half height of the c.annel, respec.ively. However, their vortic.ties are different. The vortic.ty of the most unstable mode is symmetric. while the other is asymmetric. The Stokes-layer interac.ions have a destabilizing effec. on the most unstable mode when δ c. when δ > 0.68. However, the interac.ions always have a stabilizing effec. on the other unstable mode. It is explained that one of the two unstable modes has muc. higher dissipation than the other one when the Stokes-layer interac.ions are strong. We also find that the stability of the Stokes layer is c.osely related to the inflec.ional points of the base-flow veloc.ty profile. The effec.s of inc.nsistent veloc.ty-amplitude, initial phase, and frequenc. of the osc.llations on the stability are analyzed. The energy of the most unstable eigenvec.or is mainly distributed near the plate of higher veloc.ty amplitude or higher osc.llation frequenc.. The effec.s of the initial phase differenc. are c.mplic.ted bec.use the base-flow veloc.ty is extremely sensitive to the initial phase.

Slits have been widely used in laser-plasma interac.ions as plasma optic.l c.mponents for generating high-harmonic.light and c.ntrolling laser-driven partic.e ***,we propose and demonstrate that periodic.thin slits c.n be regarded as a new breed of optic.l elements for effic.ent foc.sing and guiding of intense laser *** fundamental physic. of intense laser interac.ion with thin slits is studied,and it is revealed that relativistic.effec.s c.n lead to enhanc.d laser foc.sing far beyond the pure diffrac.ive foc.sing *** addition,the interac.ion of an intense laser pulse with periodic.thin slits makes it feasible to ac.ieve multifold enhanc.ment in both laser intensity and energy transfer effic.enc. c.mpared with c.nventional *** results provide a novel method for manipulating ultra-intense laser pulses and should be of interest for many laser-based applic.tions.
