In the staged multi-c.uster frac.uring of shale gas horizontal wells, ball sealers are used to ensure uniform fluid distribution among c.usters, a strategy that is both c.st-effec.ive and operationally benefic.al. Despite these advantages, c.mprehending the ball sealers' dynamic. within the wellbore and their plugging behavior at perforations is still c.allenging. This c.mplexity results in predic.ion diffic.lties regarding their diversion effic.enc.. To address this, our study utilized a semi-resolved c.D-DEM model based on kernel approximation to simulate the behavior of medium-sized ball sealers in single and multiple c.uster sc.narios. Our findings from a single c.uster sc.nario reveal that the plugging probability is c.-determined by veloc.ty gradients in the fluid ingestion area near the perforation, bac.flow region, and inertial forc.s of the ball sealers. As the c.itic.l flow rate is ac.ieved, the plugging probability negatively c.rrelated with fluid visc.sity and displac.ment, and positively c.rrelated with the perforation flow ratio (PFR), the differenc. in partic.e-fluid density, ball sealer 's diameter, and the ball sealer 's offset from the pipeline c.nter. Temporary plugging c.ntrol effic.enc. was used to evaluate the flow balanc. effec. among multiple c.usters. The results indic.te that an inc.eased number of ball sealers enhanc.s the fault toleranc. during the temporary plugging proc.ss. Nevertheless, exc.ssive ball sealers might undermine the temporary plugging c.ntrol effic.enc., as perforations with lower fluid inflow rates are unexpec.edly plugging. Higher differenc.s in fluid injec.ion rates between c.usters led to inc.eased effic.enc. in temporary plugging c.ntrol. Premature deployment of ball sealers c.nnot effec.ively plug perforations with marginally higher fluid inflow rates, but instead ac.idently plug intermediate c.usters with lower fluid inflow rates. In developing and exploring extreme and harsh underwater environments,underwater robots c.n effec.ively replac. humans to c.mplete *** meet the requirements of underwater flexible motion and c.mprehensive subsea operation,a novel oc.opus-inspired robot with eight soft limbs was designed and *** robot possesses the c.pabilities of underwater bipedal walking,multi-arm swimming,and grasping *** c.osely interac. with the underwater seabed environment and minimize disturbanc.,the robot employs a c.ble-driven flexible arm for its walking in underwater floor through a bipedal walking *** multi-arm swimming offers a means of three-dimensional spatial movement,allowing the robot to swiftly explore and navigate over large areas,thereby enhanc.ng its ***,the robot’s walking arm enables it to grasp and transport objec.s underwater,thereby enhanc.ng its prac.ic.lity in underwater environments.A simplified motion models and gait generation strategies were proposed for two modes of robot loc.motion:swimming and walking,inspired by the movement c.arac.eristic. of oc.opus-inspired multi-arm swimming and bipedal *** experimental verific.tion,the robot’s average speed of underwater bipedal walking reac.es 7.26 c./s,while the horizontal movement speed for multi-arm swimming is 8.6 c./s.

Leaves are important‘sourc.’organs that synthesize organic.matter,providing c.rbon sourc.s for plant ***,we used Populus talassic.×Populus euphratic.,the dominant spec.es in ec.logic.l and timber forests,to simulate c.rbon limitation through artiﬁc.al 25%,50%,and 75%defoliation treatments and explore the effec.s on root,stem,and leaf morphology,biomass ac.umulation,and c.rbon alloc.tion *** the 60th d after treat-ment,under 25%defoliation treatment,the plant height,spec.ﬁc.leaf weight,root surfac. area and volume,and c.nc.ntrations of non-struc.ural c.rbohydrates in stem and root were signiﬁc.ntly inc.eased by 9.13%,20.00%,16.60%,31.95%,5.12%,and 9.34%,respec.ively,relative to the *** was no signiﬁc.nt c.ange in the growth indic.tors under 50%defoliation treatment,but the c.nc.ntrations of non-struc.ural c.rbohydrates in the leaf and stem signiﬁc.ntly dec.eased,showing mostly a negative c.rrelation between *** opposite was observed in the *** 75%defoliation treatment,the plant height,ground diameter,leaf number,single leaf area,root,stem,and total biomass were signiﬁc.ntly reduc.d by 14.15%,10.24%,14.86%,11.31%,11.56%,21.87%,and 16.82%,respec.ively,relative to the *** c.nc.ntrations of non-struc.ural c.rbohydrates in various organs were signiﬁc.ntly reduc.d,partic.larly in the c.nsumption of the starc. c.nc.ntrations in the stem and *** results indic.ted that c.rbon alloc.tion strategies c.n be adjusted to inc.ease the c.n-c.ntration of non-struc.ural c.rbohydrates in root and meet plant growth needs under 25%and 50%***,75%defoliation signiﬁc.ntly limited the distribution of non-struc.ural c.rbohydrates to roots and stems,reduc.d c.rbon storage,and thus inhibited plant ***-induc.d c.rbon limitation altered the c.rbon alloc.tion pattern of ***×***,and the relationship between c.rbon reserves in roots and tree growth rec.very after defoliation was *** study

Using the plate/shell elements in c.mmerc.al software,ac.urate analysis of interlaminar initial damage in typic.l c.mposite struc.ures is still a c.allenging *** propose an ac.urate and effic.ent model for analysis of interlaminar initial damage,the following work is c.rried out:(A)A higher-order theory is firstly proposed by introduc.ng the loc.l Legendre polynomials,and then a novel shell element c.ntaining initial damage predic.ion is developed,whic. c.n direc.ly predic. transverse shear stresses without any postproc.ssing *** variables at eac. node are independent of number of layers,so the proposed model is more effic.ent than the 3D-FEM.(B)c.mpression experiment is c.rried out to verify the c.pability of the proposed *** results obtained from the proposed model are in good agreement with experimental data.(c.Several examples have been analyzed to further assess the c.pability of the proposed model by c.mparing to the 3D-FEM ***,ac.urac. and effic.enc. have been evaluated in different damage c.iterion by c.mparing with the selec.ed *** numeric.l results show that the proposed model c.n well predic. the initial interlaminar damage as well as other ***,the model is implemented with UEL subroutine,so that the present approac. c.n be readily utilized to analyze the initial damage in typic.l c.mposite struc.ures.

This paper investigates a nonloc.l dispersal epidemic.model under the multiple nonloc.l distributed delays and nonlinear inc.denc. ***,the minimal wave speed c.and the basic.reproduc.ion number Ro are defined,whic. determine the existenc. of traveling wave ***,with the help of the upper and lower solutions,Sc.auder's fixed point theorem,and limiting tec.niques,the traveling waves satisfying some asymptotic.boundary c.nditions are ***,when Ro>1,for every speed c.c.(*) there exists a traveling wave solution satisfying the boundary c.nditions,and there is no suc. traveling wave solution for any 0c.c.(*) when R_(0)>1 or c.0 when R_(0)c.s of nonloc.l time delay on the minimum wave speed.

Mesoporous titanium nanopartic.es(MTNs) have emerged as an important porous semic.nduc.or owning to their large surfac. area and unique elec.ronic.optic.l properties. However, the fundamental researc. for rational manufac.uring MTNs in a highly sc.lable manner remains a c.allenge. In this study, we report a two-step flash nanoc.mplexation(FNc. approac. to large-sc.lable generate MTNs through the sequential c.mbination of two multi-inlet vortex mixers. By optimizing the c.nc.ntrated titanium prec.rsor,polyethylene glyc.l(PEG)-func.ionalized silane amount and p H, we have been able to produc. MTNs with small partic.e size(31.5 nm), larger surfac. area(416.9 m^(2)/g) and pore volume(0.59 c.^(3)/g). Different from the traditional MTNs bulk, FNc.produc.d MTNs exhibited well-c.ntrolled manner and exc.ptional photoc.talytic.and antibac.erial properties. Importantly, the optimized MTNs outperformed c.mmerc.al P25 not only in protec.ing ultraviolet A(UVA)-exposed skin, but also in treating P. aeruginosa-infec.ed wound. We believe that the high c.ntrollability and sc.lability of sequential flash nanoc.mplexation method offers great opportunities in enhanc.ng the performanc. of mesoporous titanium nanopartic.es.

Though zeolites have been suc.essfully synthesized for several dec.des,the roles of templates for zeolite synthesis are still not fully understood ***,many types of templates have been employed suc. as inorganic.alkali metal ions,organic.quaternary ammonium c.tions,organic.amines,organic.quaternary phosphonium c.tions,metal c.mplexes and zeolite seeds,and the roles are mainly summarized into three aspec.s:struc.ure-direc.ing,spac.-filling and *** order to synthesize zeolites effic.ently,the proposed princ.ples to guide zeolite synthesis are the stabilization of energy between templates and zeolite framework,c.arge density mis-matc.ing(c.M)and struc.ure matc.ing between zeolite frameworks and *** purpose of this review is to briefly summarize the progresses in rec.nt years,c.early showing the roles of the templates for zeolite synthesis.

High-stable and High-c.pac.ty Sn/SnO_(2)@c.as Anode of Lithium-ion Batteries

We synthesized size-c.ntrollable nanopartic.es with homogeneous distribution of c.rbon and Sn/SnO_(2)by a solvothermal *** effec.s of different c.rbon c.ntent and hydrothermal time on the c.mposition,morphology and elec.roc.emic.l properties of the materials were *** with bulk materials,nanopartic.es materials not only have high spec.fic.surfac. area,but also c.n provide abundant reac.ion sites,thus enhanc.ng the elec.roc.emic.l ac.ivity of elec.rode *** importantly,the optimized mic.ospheres Sn/8c.24 delivers a superior elec.roc.emic.l performanc.,ac.ieving a spec.fic.disc.arge c.pac.ty of 700.4 mAh·g^(-1)after 150 c.c.es at 0.5 A·g^(-1),and the c.ulomb effic.enc. reac.es 98.65%,whic. is promising for anode of LIBs.
