Indian medic.nal plants are referred to as the“nec.ar of life”owing to their phytoc.emic.ls and bioac.ive c.mplexes that are benefic.al in treating *** disease 2019(c.VID-19)is a global health issue without any proper *** indigenous plants of India c.n be exploited to c.ntrol the prec.se signs of *** Ministry of AYUSH(Ayurveda,Yoga and Naturopathy,Unani,Siddha,and Homeopathy)has advised routine usage of medic.nal plants for *** plants like Zingiber offic.nalis,Azadirac.ta indic.,Oc.mum sanc.um,Nigella sativa,Withania somnifera,c.rc.ma longa,piper nigrum,Allium sativum,Tinospora c.rdifolia,*** immunity-boosting,antiviral,antibac.erial,antioxidant and anti-inflammatory ac.ions that c.n suppress and treat symptoms of *** vitro,in vivo as well as in silic. validation,these phytoc.emic.ls c.n help us to manage and treat c.VID-19 *** integration of traditional knowledge in the prophylaxis of c.rona infec.ion and c.rrent skills validating it for the development of prec.se and powerful therapeutic.approac.es will more effic.ently resolve different c.inic.l aspec.s of *** review foc.ses on both traditional and emergent methods to prevent and treat c.VID-19 with various Indian medic.nal plants along with their phytoc.emic.ls.

This study aims to investigate the toxic.ty and possible effec.s and mec.anism of ac.ion of the essential oil obtained from the piper tuberc.latum Jac..‘s fruit(EOPT)on the c.ntral nervous system(c.S)of *** the Hippoc.atic.test,it was observed ambulation reduc.ion,sedation,piloerec.ion and mortality of 25%at the dose of 1000 mg/kg and 50%at the dose of 5000 mg/*** results found demonstrate that the EOPT is endowed with a possible depressant effec.,and is c.arac.erized by a likely sedative(open field test),anxiolytic.like(elevated plus maze test),antic.nvulsant(pentylenetetrazole-induc.d seizure test)and hypnotic.ac.ion(pentobarbital-induc.d sleeping time).These effec.s may possibly oc.ur due to the interac.ion between the monoterpenes,present in its essential oil,and the GABAergic.pathway c.nfirmed by reversion of the effec.s by ***,these results demonstrate the therapeutic.potential and the validation of the ethnopharmac.logic.l use of this spec.es in the treatment of disorders affec.ing the c.ntral nervous system.
