A commercial Al-Mg alloy was subjected to equal channel angular pressing of 4 passes with and without postrolling, and the effects of post-rolling on the deformation characteristics of the alloy at 723 K were examined. Post-rolling was found to influence the deformation behavior significantly. The deformation behavior of the alloy processed only by equal channel angular pressing was characterized by (a) localized deformation indicated by severe surface prominence and depression, (b) the strain rate sensitivity of 0.33, and (c) moderate high strain rate superplastic elongations. By contrast, that of the alloy processed by equal channel angular pressing and post-rolling (70 % thickness reduction) was manifested by (a) uniform deformation associated with grain boundary sliding throughout the sample, (b) a sigmoidal behavior showing the strain rate sensitivity of 0.45 at the intermediate strain rates in the logarithmic stress-strain rate curve, and (c) very large high strain rate superplastic elongations.

Stabilizing a frequency comb to an ultra-stable optical frequency reference requires a multitude of optoelectronic peripherals that have to operate under strict ambient ***,the frequency comb-to-comb stabilization aims to synchronize a slave comb to a well-established master comb with a substantial saving in required equipment and ***,we report an utmost case of frequency comb-to-comb stabilization made through a 1.3 km free-space optical(FSO)link by coherent transfer of two separate comb lines along with a feedback suppression control of atmospheric phase *** FSO link offers a transfer stability of 1.7×10-15 at 0.1 s averaging,while transporting the master comb,s stability of 1.2×10-15 at 1.0 s over the entire spectrum of the slave *** remote comb-to-comb stabilization is intended to expedite diverse long-distance ground-to-ground or ground-to-satellite applications;as demonstrated here for broadband molecular spectroscopy over a 6THz bandwidth as well as ultra-stable microwaves generation with phase noise of-80dBc Hz-1 at 1 Hz.

Amidst the ever-growing interest in high-mass-loading Li battery electrodes,a persistent challenge has been the insufficient continuity of their ion/electron conduction ***,we propose cellulose elementary fibrils(CEFs)as a class of deagglomerated binder for high-mass-loading *** from natural wood,CEF represents the most fundamental unit of cellulose with nanoscale *** preparation of the CEFs involves the modulation of intermolecular hydrogen bonding by the treatment with a proton acceptor and a hydrotropic *** elementary deagglomeration of the cellulose fibers increases surface area and anionic charge density,thus promoting uniform dispersion with carbon conductive additives and suppressing interfacial side reactions at ***,a homogeneous redox reaction is achieved throughout the *** resulting CEF-based cathode(overlithiated layered oxide(OLO)is chosen as a benchmark electrode active material)exhibits a high areal-mass-loading(50 mg cm^(-2),equivalent to an areal capacity of 12.5 mAh cm^(-2))and a high specific energy density(445.4 Wh kg–1)of a cell,which far exceeds those of previously reported OLO *** study highlights the viability of the deagglomerated binder in enabling sustainable high-mass-loading electrodes that are difficult to achieve with conventional synthetic polymer binders.

AIM To investigate the effects of Hwangryunhaedok-tang(HHT) on gastrointestinal(GI) motility in *** The effects of a boiling water extract of HHT(HHTE) on GI motility were investigated by calculating percent intestinal transit rates(ITR%) and gastric emptying(GE) values using Evans Blue and phenol red, respectively, in normal mice and in mice with experimentally induced GI motility dysfunction(GMD). In addition, the effects of the four components of HHT, that is, Gardeniae Fructus(GF), Scutellariae Radix(SR), Coptidis Rhizoma(CR), and Phellodendri Cortex(PC), on GI motility were also *** In normal ICR mice, ITR% and GE values were significantly and dose-dependently increased by the intragastric administration of HHTE(0.1-1 g/kg). The ITR% values of GMD mice were significantly lower than those of normal mice, and these reductions were significantly and dose-dependently inhibited by HHTE(0.1-1 g/kg). The influence of the hole length-to-diameter ratio on film-cooling performance is numerically investigated for a cylindrical hole and laidback fan-shaped hole with an inlet *** analysis of film-cooling is conducted by solving three-dimensional Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations(RANS)with a Realizable k-ε turbulence *** and triangular grooves are applied to the inlet of cylindrical and laidback fan-shaped *** ratio of the hole length(L) to the diameter(D),i.e.,L/D,is varied between 6-12 at blowing ratios(M) of 0.5 to 1.5 for the cylindrical hole and 0.5 to 3.0 for the laidback fan-shaped *** cylindrical holes with an inlet groove,the film-cooling effectiveness decreases as the L/D increases,regardless of the blowing ***,in the case of laidback fan-shaped holes,the cooling performance with the length-to-diameter ratios shows different tendencies for each blowing *** low blowing ratios(M=1.0),relatively high effects were observed with more than 5% increases in the effectiveness at L/D=10 and 12 compared to that of L/D=***,the performance is maximized at L/D=8 under high-blowing-ratio conditions(M=3.0).The cooling efficiency is enhanced up to 148% for square grooves and 124% for triangle grooves compared to those of L/D=6.
