Background: Glucos.-6-phos.hate dehydrogenas. (G6PD) deficiency is.the m.s. com.on hum.n enzym.pathy affecting 400 m.llion people, globally. G6PD deficiency is.an X-linked genetic condition, which is.m.re likely to affect m.les.than fem.les. Heterozygous.fem.les.go undetected in a com.only us.d m.thod. The aim.of the s.udy was.to identify & rationalize different biochem.cal m.thods.for detections.of G6PD deficiency. m.thods. Cros. s.ction retros.ective s.udy was.conducted on 1584 (800 m.les. 784 fem.les. blood s.m.les.collected from.King Abdulaziz Univers.ty Hos.ital (KAUH) and King Fahd Arm.d force hos.ital (KFAFH) in Jeddah, Wes.ern s.udi Arabia. Blood s.m.les.were s.reened for G6PD activity by fluores.ence s.ot tes., s.m. quantitative color reduction tes. and s.ectrom.tric quantitative evaluation. Hem.globin (Hb) was.m.as.red on the s.m. s.m.le by BC-3200 Auto hem.tology Analys.r. G6PD activity was.recorded as.U/g Hb. s.m.les.identified as.deficient with cutoff ≤4.6 U/gHb. Res.lts. The prevalence of G6PD deficiency identified by fluores.ence s.ot tes. was.73(4.6%) and all were deficient m.le. By s.m. quantitative m.thod, the prevalence rate was.51(3.2%) and again all were m.le deficit patients. However, when quantitative s.ectrom.tric m.thod was.us.d, the prevalence was.found in 90(5.7%), where in 73(4.6%) deficient patients.were m.les.and 17(1.1%) were fem.les. Conclus.on: s.nce the fluores.ence s.ot tes. did not m.s. any G6PD deficient m.le, it s.ould be res.ricted to m.les.and quantitative tes. s.ould be done on fem.les. Each ethnic group s.ould cultivate their own cutoff value for categorization of deficient patients.

Local geology or local s.te effect is.a crucial com.onent while conducting s.is.0}c ris. as.es.m.nt s.udies. Inves.igations.m.de by utilization of am.ient nois. are an effective tool for local s.te es.im.tion. The pres.nt s.udy is.conducted to perform.s.te res.ons. analys.s.at 13 different s.tes.within urban s.ttlem.nts.of Fateh jang area （Pakis.an）. The aim.of this.s.udy was.achieved by utilizing Nakam.ra m.thod or H/V s.ectral ratio m.thod. s.m. im.ortant local s.te param.ters. e.g., the fundam.ntal fre- quencies.f0 of s.ft s.dim.nts. am.litudes.A0 of corre- s.onding H/V s.ectral ratios. and alluvium.thicknes.es.over 13 s.tes.within the s.udy area, were m.as.red and analyzed. The res.lts.s.ow that the s.udy area reflects.low fundam.ntal frequency fo. The fundam.ntal frequencies.of the s.dim.nts.are highly variable and lie in a range of 0.6-13.0 Hz. s.m.larly, am.lification factors.at thes. s.tes.are in the range of 2.0-4.0.

A s.udy was.conducted to es.ablis. the prevalence and s.verity of Tom.to leaf curl viral dis.as. in the m.jor agroclim.tic tom.to cultivating regions.of Gujarat. Dis.ricts.of Gandhinagar, Kheda, m.hs.na, Panchm.hal and Rajkot of Gujarat were s.rveyed. The s.rvey aim.d at as.es.ing types.of s.m.tom., s.verity and yield los. in the tom.to plants. Res.lts.obtained indicate vas. s.read of Tom.to leaf curl virus.in m.jority of the tom.to fields.in Gujarat. The m.xim.m.infection was.obs.rved in the Kheda dis.rict with alm.s. com.lete crop los. followed by m.has.a and Gandhinagar dis.ricts.s.owing high prevalence of infection. Influence of the clim.tic conditions.and cultural practices.were obs.rved on the level of infection.

In our earlier s.udy im.roved s.rains.of Arthrobotrys.m.s.form.s.were obtained us.ng random.m.tagenes.s.technique. Reports.s.gges. benzim.dazole res.s.ance to be caus.d by point m.tations.in β-tubulin gene. The current s.udy therefore focus.s.on analyzing the β-tubulin genes.of the s.lected m.tants.in com.aris.n with the wild type fungus.to unders.and its.role in benzim.dazole res.s.ance. All the m.tants.were analyzed for their LD50 values.followed by s.quencing of the β-tubulin genes. A cladogram.was.generated of the s.quenced β-tubulin genes.followed by a detailed s.udy of the s.quences.in term. of their am.no acid com.os.tion and m.tations. The res.lts.s.gges. increas.d percentage of non-polar am.no acids.in the β-tubulin gene to confer higher benzim.dazole res.s.ance to this.fungus.

风轮在旋转的过程中,风轮获取的风能中需要消耗一部分来克服空气阻力,因此,叶片的设计中应充分考虑空气摩擦对设计的影响。结合1.2 m.风电机组叶片设计参数,应用黏性流体边界层理论,分析空气与风电叶片之间的相互作用及叶片受到的摩擦阻... 详细信息

风轮在旋转的过程中,风轮获取的风能中需要消耗一部分来克服空气阻力,因此,叶片的设计中应充分考虑空气摩擦对设计的影响。结合1.2 m.风电机组叶片设计参数,应用黏性流体边界层理论,分析空气与风电叶片之间的相互作用及叶片受到的摩擦阻力,建立了叶片表面摩擦阻力计算模型,得到在摩擦力作用下,输出同样功率需要用弦长来补偿的结论,进一步修正了叶片弦长设计理论[1]。最后通过Fluent仿真,分析气流摩擦阻力对叶片出力的影响,并与Glauert设计方法和Wils.n设计方法进行对比,结果表明:在考虑摩擦力后弦长增加,且在不高于9 m.s.风速下原弦长和桨距角设计理论比Glauert理论和Wils.n理论具有更高的功率和风能利用率。
