In this paper, the temporal and spatial patterns of a diffusive predator-prey model with mutual interference under homogeneous Neumann boundary conditions were studied. Specifically, first, taking the intrinsic growth rate of the predator as the parameter, we give a computational and theoretical analysis of Hopf bifurcation on the positive equilibrium for the ODE system. As well, we have discussed the conditions for determining the bifurcation direction and the stability of the bifurcating periodic solutions.

Intensively farmed crops used to experience numerous environmental *** these,shade and drought significantly influence the morpho-physiological and biochemical attributes of ***,the interactive effect of shade and drought on the growth and development of soybean under dense cropping systems has not been reported *** study investigated the interactive effect of PEG-induced osmotic stress and shade on soybean *** soybean cultivar viz.,C-103 was subjected to PEG-induced osmotic stress from polyethylene glycol 6000(PEG-6000)under shading and non-shading ***-induced osmotic stress significantly reduced the relative water contents,morphological parameters,carbohydrates and chlorophyll contents under both light environments.A significant increase was observed in osmoprotectants,reactive oxygen species and antioxidant enzymes in soybean ***,the findings revealed that,seedlings grown under non-shading conditions produced more malondialdehyde and hydrogen peroxide contents as compared to the shade-treated plants when subjected to PEG-induced osmotic ***,the shaded plants accumulated more sugars and proline than non-shaded ones under drought ***,it was found that nonshaded grown plants were more sensitive to PEG-induced osmotic stress than those exposed to shading conditions,which suggested that shade could boost the protective mechanisms against osmotic stress or at least would not exaggerate the adverse effects of PEG-induced osmotic stress in soybean seedlings.

Automated attendance management system will reduce complexity by eliminating plenty of manual processes involved in attendance system and calculating hours attended. This paper presents a simple technique of taking student attendance in the form of an Internet of Things (IoT) based system that records the attendance using fingerprint-based system and stores them securely in a database. We use NodeMCUV3, RFID Module and Fingerprint sensor module in our system. The fingerprint module is responsible for authentication of the students. RFID Module is used to scan the RFID tag and sends data to the central server. By using this information, the system will generate an attendance report which can be accessed for further use.

Biochemical Estimation of Glucose 6 Phosphate Dehydrogenase Deficiency in Saudi Adults: Different Methods and Its Rationalization

Background: Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency is the most common human enzymopathy affecting 400 million people, globally. G6PD deficiency is an X-linked genetic condition, which is more likely to affect males than females. Heterozygous females go undetected in a commonly used method. The aim of the study was to identify & rationalize different biochemical methods for detections of G6PD deficiency. Methods: Cross section retrospective study was conducted on 1584 (800 males, 784 females) blood samples collected from King Abdulaziz University Hospital (KAUH) and King Fahd Armed force hospital (KFAFH) in Jeddah, Western Saudi Arabia. Blood samples were screened for G6PD activity by fluorescence spot test, semi quantitative color reduction test and spectrometric quantitative evaluation. Hemoglobin (Hb) was measured on the same sample by BC-3200 Auto hematology Analyser. G6PD activity was recorded as U/g Hb. Samples identified as deficient with cutoff ≤4.6 U/gHb. Results: The prevalence of G6PD deficiency identified by fluorescence spot test was 73(4.6%) and all were deficient male. By semi quantitative method, the prevalence rate was 51(3.2%) and again all were male deficit patients. However, when quantitative spectrometric method was used, the prevalence was found in 90(5.7%), where in 73(4.6%) deficient patients were males and 17(1.1%) were females. Conclusion: Since the fluorescence spot test did not miss any G6PD deficient male, it should be restricted to males and quantitative test should be done on females. Each ethnic group should cultivate their own cutoff value for categorization of deficient patients.

Outcomes of Evacuation Extradural Hematoma via Craniotomy under Local Anesthesia

Background: The EDH occurs due to the accumulation of bleeding between the inner table of the skull and the outer layer of the dura mater. It is said to account for 1% - 3% of all head injured patients and 9% of those who are comatose. The only life-saving treatment of choice is evacuation of EDH via craniotomy. Methods: This was a prospective observational study, where 40 patients were in follow-up for determining the outcomes of evacuation via craniotomy. Results: Majority of the patients were young and males. The main outcome of the evacuation was favorable (recovered), but certain unfavorable outcomes were also accounted like mortality. Conclusion: The pre-surgery clinical findings like consciousness of patient were an important indicator for EDH evacuation outcome. In most of the cases, the outcome was favorable with progressive recovery.

Activity of Insect Fauna during the Night in the Pa Orchards of Central Iraq

The study was carried out at three palm orchards, each of 2.5 hectare in AI-Madain palm orchards （30 km, South Baghdad） contains the palm varieties （Prem, Osta omran, Zahdi, Berhee, Khadrawi, Khastawi, Oueedi and Tebarzel） in 2010 season aiming to determine the population density of palm borers and to know other insect occurring in date palm orchards. Three light traps with solar energy （Magna Traps with lamps of 320-420 nm wavelength are produced by Russell IPM） were used as one trap in each orchard. The number of fruit stalk borer, Oryctes elegans and frond borer, Phonapate frontalis adults were calculated per week in each trap aiming to determine the population density of adults in the three orchards under this study. Results of using light traps （Magna Traps） indicated that the number of O. elegans adults catch per trap during the period from April to December 2010 were 254, 217 and 240 adult/trap in orchards No. l, 2 and 3, respectively, the higher population densities were 87,79 and 81 adult/trap per month, respectively reported in July. Also, the study indicated that the population density of frond borer, Phonapatefrontalis catch per trap during the period from April to December 2010 were 34, 58 and 54 adult/trap for orchards No. 1, 2 and 3, respectively, the higher population densities were 10, 21 and 15 adult/trap per month, respectively reported in June. Many insect groups were caught in light traps, the insect fauna composed of nineteen insect groups, 12 are coleoptera, 1 hemiptera, 1 hymenoptera, 1 homoptera, 2 dermaptera, and 2 orthoptera, the numbers of this insect were recorded per month a year round in palm orchards.

Liver fibrosis is a leading cause of mortality and morbidity *** decades,plant secondary metabolites such as flavonoids and saponins have attained much consideration due to their safer therapeutic potential against chronic liver *** foenum-graecum(Common name“Fenugreek”)is an annual herb used as a spice to increase the taste and aroma of *** fresh leaves are used as food and are rich in *** the current study antifibrotic potential of Trigonella foenum-graecum flavonoid-rich leaf extract(TF)was evaluated in CCl4-induced hepatic fibrosis in *** ALT,AST,MDA,CAT,and GSH analysis illustrated that the treatment group significantly reverses CCl4-induced liver *** TF extract was found to be rich in quercetin and kaempferol derivatives analyzed through ESI-MS/*** four weeks of the TF treatment,hepatocyte architecture improved and collagen deposition in mice liver tissues reduced *** expression of fibrotic markers,including COL-IA,α-SMA,PDGF,and TIMP1,was downregulated,and MMP3 was upregulated significantly at mRNA and protein ***,TF significantly downregulated NF-κB expression and TGF-β/Smad signaling pathway and upregulated miR-146a and *** together,these results demonstrated that Trigonella foenum-graecum flavonoid-rich leaf extract ameliorated liver inflammatory and fibrogenic responses through miR-146a/miR-29b/TGF-β/Smad axis.

随着中国综合国力的不断提升,汉语的影响力也越来越大,包括苏丹在内的世界许多国家都兴起了“汉语热”。进入21世纪后,苏丹与中国的经济往来越来越频繁,两国的关系也越来越密切,但是语言不通成为了中苏友好交往的障碍之一。目前,苏丹的汉语教学呈现良好的发展趋势。师资方面,除了越来越多的本土教师加入到汉语教学队伍中来以外,每年中国国家汉办还会选派很多的志愿者和公派教师来支援苏丹的汉语教学;教材方面,每年中国国家汉办会赠送很多的汉语教材来丰富学校的汉语教学;在教学方法方面,越来越多的专家学者投入到苏丹汉语教学的研究领域中来,并取得了很多优秀的研究成果,对提高苏丹的汉语教学水平有着非常积极的影响。为了更好地与中国开展合作项目,苏丹更加重视汉语教学的推广和普及,在2008年喀土穆大学建立了一所孔子学院来推广汉语教学,至今已经有11年了。本文正是针对喀土穆地区的汉语教学情况和师资情况进行了分析和研究,调查当地汉语教学的整体状况。在调查过程中,笔者发现喀土穆地区的汉语教学在总体上取得了很大进展,但同时也存在着一些问题。本文的撰写思路为:首先,调查了喀土穆地区部分学校的汉语教学现状,包括各个学校的学生情况、教师情况、课程设置、教材使用及教学环境等方面,同时也调查了各学校的师资培训现状;其次,在调查的基础上对喀土穆地区的汉语教学情况和师资培训模式进行了分析,指出了其中存在的问题,并分析造成这些问题的原因;最后,针对喀土穆地区汉语教学尤其是师资培训方面中存在的问题,笔者提出了一些相关建议和解决措施,希望对苏丹汉语教师队伍的建设有借鉴意义,能够有效解决汉语师资培训问题。

Background: Many centers in Sudan use the reference data for fetal biometry. The recently published population-based reference either overestimated or underestimated the weight of the fetuses. Objective: To establish a national reference for fetal biometry, and weight by gestational age for singleton fetuses in Sudan. Methods: Data were collected on all singleton live births documented in the data collection sheet done at Saudi Hospital from 2015 to 2016 (n = 225). Gestational age estimation was based on the last menstrual period and fetal ultrasound thereafter. Fetal biometry and weight and other 6 fetal weight formulae were assessed. Reference data for fetal growth by gestational age were created. Results: New charts and reference equations are reported in Sudanese population for fetal biparietal diameter, head circumference, abdominal circumference and femur length and fetal weight. Conclusion: We advocate that these reference charts and equations for fetal biometry and weight might be valuable in the clinical use for appropriate ethnic Sudanese.
