Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)is a‘highly transmissible respiratory pathogen,leading to severe multiorgan ***,knowledge regarding SARS-CoV-2-induced cellular alterations is *** this study,we report that SARSCoV-2 aberrantly elevates mitochondrial bioenergetics and activates the EGFR-mediated cell survival signal cascade during the early stage of viral ***-CoV-2 causes an increase in mitochondrial transmembrane potential via the SARS-CoV-2 RNAnucleocapsid cluster,thereby abnormally promoting mitochondrial elongation and the OXPHOS process,followed by enhancing ATP ***,SARS-CoV-2 activates the EGFR signal cascade and subsequently induces mitochondrial EGFR trafficking,contributing to abnormal OXPHOS process and viral *** EGFR inhibitors remarkably reduce SARS-CoV-2 propagation,among which vandetanib exhibits the highest antiviral *** of SARS-CoV-2-infected cells with vandetanib decreases SARS-CoV-2-induced EGFR trafficking to the mitochondria and restores SARS-CoV-2-induced aberrant elevation in OXPHOS process and ATP generation,thereby resulting in the reduction of SARS-CoV-2 ***,oral administration of vandetanib to SARS-CoV-2-infected hACE2 transgenic mice reduces SARS-CoV-2 propagation in lung tissue and mitigates SARS-CoV-2-induced lung *** also exhibits potent antiviral activity against various SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern,including alpha,beta,delta and omicron,in in vitro cell culture *** together,our findings provide novel insight into SARS-CoV-2-induced alterations in mitochondrial dynamics and EGFR trafficking during the early stage of viral infection and their roles in robust SARS-CoV-2 propagation,suggesting that EGFR is an attractive host target for combating COVID-19.

High-mobility group box 1 was first discovered in the calf thymus as a DNA-binding nuclear protein and has been widely studied in diverse fields,including neurology and ***-mobility group box 1 in the extracellular space functions as a pro-inflammatory damage-associated molecular pattern,which has been proven to play an important role in a wide variety of central nervous system disorders such as ischemic stroke,Alzheimer’s disease,frontotemporal dementia,Parkinson’s disease,multiple sclerosis,epilepsy,and traumatic brain *** drugs that inhibit high-mobility group box 1 as a damage-associated molecular pattern,such as glycyrrhizin,ethyl pyruvate,and neutralizing anti-high-mobility group box 1 antibodies,are commonly used to target high-mobility group box 1 activity in central nervous system *** it is commonly known for its detrimental inflammatory effect,high-mobility group box 1 has also been shown to have beneficial pro-regenerative roles in central nervous system *** this narrative review,we provide a brief summary of the history of high-mobility group box 1 research and its characterization as a damage-associated molecular pattern,its downstream receptors,and intracellular signaling pathways,how high-mobility group box 1 exerts the repair-favoring roles in general and in the central nervous system,and clues on how to differentiate the pro-regenerative from the pro-inflammatory *** targeting high-mobility group box 1 in the central nervous system may benefit from differentiating between the two functions rather than overall suppression of high-mobility group box 1.

＜正＞ In this paper, we propose a new method of designing a nonlinear channel equalizer using an adaptive neuro-fuzzy clustering method called a conditional fuzzy c-means. The structure identification of an adaptive neuro-fuzzy system is performed by the conditional fuzzy c-means clustering method with the homogeneous properties of the given input and output data. The parameter identification is established by hybrid learning using the back-propagation algorithm and the recursive least square estimation. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method improves the performance of neuro-fuzzy system. Finally, we applied the proposed method to designing a nonlinear channel equalizer and obtained better results than previous methods.

The work investigates influence of the electrolyte conductivity on the onset of partial contact glow discharge electrolysis(CGDE)in a water *** current density(CCD)and breakdown voltage were measured together with in situ observation of hydrogen bubble behavior,whose influence has not been focused *** a fixed current during normal electrolysis,hydrogen coalescence adjacent to cathode surface was invigorated at a lower *** analyses elucidated the hydrogen coalescence characteristics by quantifying size and population of detached hydrogen *** CCD increased about 104% within given range of conductivity(11.50-127.48 mS·cm^(-1))due to impaired bubble coalescence,which delays hydrogen film formation on the ***,decreasing trend of breakdown voltage was measured with increased conductivity showing maximum drop of 74%.It is concluded that onset of partial CGDE is directly affected by hydrodynamic bubble behaviors,whereas the electrolyte conductivity affects the bubble formation characteristics adjacent to cathode electrode.

As fifth generation technology standard(5G)technology develops,the possibility of being exposed to the risk of cyber-attacks that exploits vulnerabilities in the 5G environment is *** existing personal recognitionmethod used for granting permission is a password-basedmethod,which causes security ***,personal recognition studies using bio-signals are being conducted as a method to access control to *** bio-signal,surface electromyogram(sEMG)can solve the existing personal recognition problem that was unable to the modification of registered information owing to the characteristic changes in its signal according to the performed ***,as an advantage,sEMG can be conveniently measured from arms and *** paper proposes a personal recognition method using sEMG,based on a multi-stream convolutional neural network(CNN).The proposed method decomposes sEMG signals into intrinsic mode functions(IMF)using empirical mode decomposition(EMD)and transforms each IMF into a *** recognition is performed by analyzing time–frequency features from the spectrogram transformed *** database(DB)adopted in this paper is the Ninapro DB,which is a benchmark EMG *** experimental results indicate that the personal recognition performance of the multi-stream CNN using the IMF spectrogram improved by 1.91%,compared with the singlestream CNN using the spectrogram of raw sEMG.

Background:This study was conducted to investigate the effects of each phytogenic feed additive(PFA;PFA1,bitter citrus extract;PFA2,a microencapsulated blend of thymol and carvacrol;PFA3,a mixture of bitter citrus extract,thymol,and carvacrol;PFA4,a premixture of grape seed,grape marc extract,green tea,and hops;PFA5,fenugreek seed powder)on the growth performance,nutrient digestibility,intestinal morphology,and immune response in weaned pigs infected with Escherichia coli(***).Results:A total of 634-week-old weaned pigs were placed in individual metabolic cages and assigned to seven treatment *** seven treatments were as follows:1)NC;basal diet without *** challenge,2)PC;basal diet with *** challenge,3)T1;PC+0.04%PFA1,4)T2;PC+0.01%PFA2,5)T3;PC+0.10%PFA3,6)T4;PC+0.04%PFA4,7)T5;PC+0.10%*** experiments lasted in 21 d,including 7 d before and 14 d after the first *** *** the *** challenge treatments,all pigs were orally inoculated by dividing a total of 10 mL of *** F18 for 3 consecutive *** PFA-added groups significantly increased(P<0.05)average daily gain and feed efficiency and decreased(P<0.05)the fecal score at d 0 to 14 post-inoculation(PI).Tumor necrosis factorαwas significantly lower(P<0.05)in the PFA-added groups except for T1 in d 14 PI compared to the PC *** T3 had a higher(P<0.05)immunoglobulin G and immunoglobulin A concentration compared to the PC treatment at d 7 ***,T3 showed significantly higher(P<0.05)villus height:crypt depth and claudin 1 expression in ileal mucosa,and significantly downregulated(P<0.05)the expression of calprotectin compared to the PC ***:Supplementation of PFA in weaned pigs challenged with *** alleviated the negative effects of *** and improved growth *** them,the mixed additive of bitter citrus extract,thymol,and carvacrol showed the most effective results,improving immune response,intestinal morphology,and expression of tight junction

The atypical femoral fracture(AFF)has been attracting significant attention because of its increasing incidence;additionally,its treatment is challenging from biological and mechanical *** surgery is often required to manage complete AFFs,clear guidelines for the surgical treatment of AFFs are currently *** reviewed and described the surgical treatment of AFFs and the surveillance of the contralateral *** complete AFFs,cephalomedullary intramedullary nailing spanning the entire length of the femur can be *** surgical techniques to overcome the femoral bowing common in AFFs include a lateral entry point,external rotation of the nail,and the use of a nail with a small radius of curvature,or a contralateral *** the case of a narrow medullary canal,severe femoral bowing,or pre-existing implants,plate fixation may be considered as an *** incomplete AFFs,prophylactic fixation depends on several risk factors,such as a subtrochanteric location,presence of a radiolucent line,functional pain,and condition of the contralateral femur;the same surgical principles as those in complete AFFs can be ***,once AFF is diagnosed,clinicians should recognize the increased risk of contralateral AFFs,and close surveillance of the contralateral femur is recommended.

Objective:To investigate the anti-obesity activity and the action mechanism of the roots of Adenophora triphylla *** extract(ATE) in high-fat diet(HFD)-induced obese mice and 3T3-LI ***:The roots of Ademption triphylla were extracted with 70%*** demonstrate the compounds,linoleic acid was analyzed by using gas chromatography:and the anti-obesity effects and possible mechanisms of ATE were examined in 3T3-L1 adipocytes and HFD-induced obese ***:Treatment with ATE inhibited the lipid accumulation without cytotoxicity in 3T3-L1 ***,200 and 400 mg/kg ATE treatment significantly decreased the body weight gain,white adipose tissues(WATs) weight and plasma triglyceride level,while 100 and 200 mg/kg ATE treatment increased the plasma high-density lipoprotein cholesterol level in the HFD-induced obese mice,as compared with the HFD *** with 200 and 400 mg/kg ATE also lowered the size of adipocytes in adipose tissue and reduced the lipid accumulation in *** treatment showed significantly lower expression level of adipogenesis-relatcd proteins,such as peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor y,fatty acid binding protein(aP2),fatty acid synthase in 3T3-L1 adipocytes;and furthermore,decreased peroxisome proliferatoractivated receptor γ,aP2,fatty acid synthase,sterol regulatory element binding protein-1c,and lipoprotein lipase mRNA expression levels in WAT of the HFD-induced obese ***:These results suggested that the ATE has an anti-obesity effect,which may be elicited by regulating the expression of adipogenesis and lipogenesis-related genes and proteins in adipocytes and WAT of the HFD-induced obese mice.
