The coronavirus disease-19(COVID-19)outbreak,caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(sARs-CoV-2),was declared a global pandemic in March *** has affected over 700 million people worldwide and resulted in almost 7 million deaths,equating to a 1%mortality *** present,the majority of COVID-19 cases are either asymptomatic or mild,typically resolving within two ***,between 1%and 10%of COVID-19 survivors do not fully recover and experience a post-viral syndrome referred to as"long COVID","post-acute COVID-19 syndrome"(PAsC),or"post-COVID condition"(PCC).This post-viral syndrome affects both adult and pediatric ***,most of the studies published to date evaluate the adult population,leaving a gap in our understanding of its impact on children and adolescents.

Background:Given the pervasive issues of obesity and diabetes both in Puerto Rico and the broader United states,there is a compelling need to investigate the intricate interplay among body mass index(BMI),pregesta-tional,and gestational maternal diabetes,and their potential impact on the occurrence of congenital heart defects(CHD)during neonatal ***:Using the comprehensive system of Vigilance and surveillance of Congenital Defects in Puerto Rico,we conducted a focused analysis on neonates diagnosed with CHD between 2016 and *** assessment encompassed a range of variables,including maternal age,gestational age,BMI,pregestational diabetes,gestational diabetes,hypertension,history of abortion,and presence of ***:A cohort of 673 patients was included in our *** average maternal age was 26 years,within a range of 22 to 32 *** mean gestational age measured 39 weeks,with a median span of 38 to 39 *** the 673 patients,274(41%)mothers gave birth to neonates diagnosed with *** this group,22 cases were linked to pre-gestational diabetes,while 202 were not;20 instances were associated with gestational diabetes,compared to 200 without;and 148 cases exhibited an overweight or obese BMI,whereas 126 displayed a normal ***:We identiﬁed a statistically signiﬁcant correlation between pre-gestational diabetes mellitus and the occurrence of ***,our analysis did not show a statistically signiﬁcant association between maternal BMI and the likelihood of *** results may aid in developing effective strategies to prevent and manage CHD in neonates.

Integrated CO_(2)capture and utilization(ICCU)technology requires dual functional materials(DFMs)to carry out the process in a single reaction *** influence of the calcination atmosphere on efficiency of 4%Ru-8%Na_(2)CO_(3)-8%CaO/γ-Al_(2)O_(3)DFM is *** adsorbent precursors are first co-impregnated onto alumina and calcined in ***,Ru precursor is impregnated and four aliquotes are subjected to different calcination protocols:static air in muffle or under different mixtures(10%H_(2)/N_(2),50%H_(2)/N_(2)and N_(2))*** are characterized by XRD,N_(2)adsorption-desorption,H_(2)chemisorption,TEM,XPs,H_(2)-TPD,H_(2)-TPR,CO_(2)-TPD and *** catalytic behavior is evaluated,in cycles of CO_(2)adsorption and hydrogenation to CH_(4),and temporal evolution of reactants and products concentrations is *** calcination atmosphere influences the physicochemical properties and,ultimately,activity of *** data and catalytic performance discover the acccomodation of Ru nanoparticles disposition and basic sites is mostly influencing the catalytic *** calcined under N_(2)flow(RuNaCa-N_(2))shows the highest CH_(4)production(449μmol/g at 370℃),because a well-controlled decomposition of precursors which favors the better accomodation of adsorbent and Ru phases,maximizing the specific surface area,the Ru-basic sites interface and the participation of different basic sites in the CO_(2)methanation ***,the calcination in a N_(2)flow is revealed as the optimal calcination protocol to achieve highly efficient DFM for integrated CO_(2)adsorption and hydrogenation applications.

Gender inclusiveness is important in the rural transformation process of Bangladesh as rural women play key roles in both agricultural and non-agricultural *** inclusiveness also leads to gender *** empirically evaluate relationships between rural transformation and gender inclusiveness in *** consider three rural transformation indicators:high-value commodities’share in agricultural output values,non-farm employment’s share in rural labor employment,and non-agricultural GDP’s share in total *** capturing gender inclusiveness include the per capita rural income of males and females,ratio of investments into gender programs,female access to education,access to healthcare,employment participation,land ownership,and asset *** test the effect of the difference in per capita rural income of males and females and the ratio of their incomes and check for the robustness of the gender variables across different model *** 128 district-level observations from 32 districts of Bangladesh across four time periods(2000,2005,2010 and 2016),we use both ordinary least squares and fixed effects panel regression *** find that female land and asset ownership and access to education and healthcare are robust determinants of various stages of rural ***,our results suggest that improving women’s ownership of land and assets and investing in women’s education and healthcare will likely contribute to a more inclusive rural transformation.

Rational urban design helps to build sustainable cities with high ventilation capacity and pollutant removal ca-pacity,but the effect of building height on ventilation and pollutant dispersion inside asymmetric canyons has not been fully *** this paper,we studied the effect of increasing the degree of building height asym-metry(DBHA)on canyon ventilation and pollutant diffusion in shallow and deep asymmetric street canyons by considering six different building height ratios(BHR=3/4,1/2,1/3,4/3,2/1 and 3/1).The results show that increasing the DBHA in asymmetric canyons can improve the ventilation and pollutant removal *** step-up canyons,increasing the downwind building height is very useful to improve ventilation and pollutant *** shallow/deep step-up canyons with BHR=1/3,the air exchange rate(ACH)increased to 211.2%and 380.1%of the flat canyons,*** spatially-average pollutant concentration in the pedestrian zones(leeward Kavg∗ang windward Kavg∗)decreases significantly with the increase of DBHA,especially for the deep step-up canyon with BHR=1/3,the leeward Kavg∗and windward Kavg∗decrease to 15.3%and 3%,***,increasing the upwind building height can also improve the ventilation capacity in the step-down *** the deep step-down canyon with BHR=3/1,the leeward Kavg∗and windward Kavg∗decreased to 40.6%and 24.1%of the deep flat canyon,***,the ventilation capacity is very low for step-down canyons with BHR=4/3,and for step-down canyons with BHR≥2/1,the ventilation capacity and pollutant removal capacity increase significantly with the increase of ***,in urban planning,step-down canyons with BHR=4/3 should be avoided and designed to satisfy the condition of BHR≥2/*** findings will be a valuable reference for urban designers to build sustainable cities with high ventilation capacity.

The impending rise of artificial intelligence(AI)-powered healthcare offers exciting hope for improved care and outcomes in children with serious illnesses.1 The historical precedent in healthcare,however,suggests that advancements in adult care do not necessarily result in proportional progress in *** disparity was first noted in the mid-20th century when tragedies that involved drugs with well-studied and known adult safety profiles,such as sulfonamide elixir and thalidomide,resulted in harm to children due to limited pediatric clinical trial inclusion.2 As a result,legislation in 1962 required drug companies to include package labels that restricted or dissuaded the use of medications in children that were not properly studied in this population.2 subsequently,physicians became reluctant to prescribe many medications,and pharmaceutical companies had little incentive to enroll children in trials as an unfavorable result could negatively impact sales in the adult market,and a successful outcome would only marginally increase the market pool.3 This lack of access led *** shirkey to describe children as"therapeutic orphans"in 1968.2 After more than half a century of legislation aimed at increasing pediatric representation in research and drug development(Figure 1),enrollment of children in clinical trials remains disproportionately low,4 with children included in as few as 12%of trials for diseases with a burden equal to,or greater in,the pediatric versus adult population.

We report the first high-repetition-rate generation and simultaneous characterization of nanosecond-scale return currents of kA-magnitude issued by the polarization of a target irradiated with a PW-class high-repetition-rate titanium:sapphire laser system at relativistic *** present experimental results obtained with the VEGA-3 laser at intensities from5×10^(18)to 1.3×10^(20)W cm^(-2).A non-invasive inductive return-current monitor is adopted to measure the derivative of return currents of the order of kA ns-1and analysis methodology is developed to derive return *** compare the current for copper,aluminium and Kapton targets at different laser *** data show the stable production of current peaks and clear prospects for the tailoring of the pulse shape,which is promising for future applications in highenergy-density science,for example,electromagnetic interference stress tests,high-voltage pulse response measurements and charged particle beam *** compare the target discharge of the order of hundreds of nC with theoretical predictions and a good agreement is found.

Objective:To scrutinize the definitions of minimal invasive surgical therapy(MIsT)and to investigate urologists’knowledge,attitudes,and practices for benign prostatic obstruction ***:A 36-item survey was developed with a Delphi *** on definitions of MIsT and attitudes and practices of benign prostatic obstruction surgeries were *** were invited globally to complete the online *** was achieved when more than or equal to 70%responses were“agree or strongly agree”and less than or equal to 15%responses were“disagree or strongly disagree”(consensus agree),or when more than or equal to 70%responses were“disagree or strongly disagree”and less than or equal to 15%responses were“agree or strongly agree”(consensus disagree).Results:The top three qualities for defining MIsT were minimal blood loss(n=466,80.3%),fast post-operative recovery(n=431,74.3%),and short hospital stay(n=425,73.3%).The top three surgeries that were regarded as MIsT were Urolift®(n=361,62.2%),Rezum®(n=351,60.5%),and endoscopic enucleation of the prostate(EEP)(n=332,57.2%).Consensus in the knowledge section was achieved for the superiority of Urolift®,Rezum®,and iTIND®over transurethral resection of the prostate with regard to blood loss,recovery,day surgery feasibility,and post-operative *** in the attitudes section was achieved for the superiority of Urolift®,Rezum®,and iTIND®over transurethral resection of the prostate with regard to blood loss,recovery,and day surgery *** on both sections was achieved for EEP as the option with the better symptoms and flow improvement,lower retreatment rate,and better suitable for prostate more than 80 ***:Minimal blood loss,fast post-operative recovery,and short hospital stay were the most important qualities for defining ***®,Rezum®,and EEP were regarded as MIsT by most urologists.
