VIIRS 375 m active fire data(VNP14ImG),the highest spatial resolution available cost-free fire product,were assessed for representing fire in typical degraded tropical peatlands in *** results of applying the Tropical Peatland Combustion Algorithm to Landsat-8(ToPeCAl-L8)daytime imagery were utilised as the fire *** permit the comparison of non-simultaneous VNP14ImG and ToPeCAl-L8,peatland fire propagation speeds resulting from previous study using TET-1 data in Central Kalimantan’s peatlands were *** peatland fires were still within 750 m from their source over 15 h under uniform conditions,except for very large *** detection rates of nighttime VNP14ImG compared with ToPeCAl-L8 showed about 80%agreement for small fire areas(m buffer(cluster buffer)of VNP14ImG active fires with an integration of nighttime and daytime acquisitions,produced a probability of detection up to 90%.These results generated a recommendation for implementing cluster buffer analysis and integration of nighttime and daytime analysis of VNP14ImG data for better accuracy in fire detection for ground fire *** also demonstrate the utility of the ToPeCAl-L8 algorithm with VIIRS 375 m active fire data.

At the time of re-entry modules entering into the atmosphere from space,a small perturbation introduces dynamic oscillations on the vehicle because of their extreme traveling *** dynamic stability characteristics of re-entry modules at hypersonic mach numbers is of considerable relevance to their initial *** the present paper,the dynamic stability of blunt cone model about 10◦is examined with wide range of design parameters such as nose bluntness,semi-vertex angle and center of rotation through theoretical and experimental *** approximations are made over a model based on the standard Newtonian *** are conducted at 0.25m hypersonic wind tunnel at m=8.3 and the following trends are observed from the experimental ***,the incremental higher nose bluntness,semi-vertex angle and center of rotation reduce the dynamic *** higher hypersonic mach numbers(m>10),dynamic stability characteristics of the re-entry module are insensitive to the free stream mach ***,it is observed that the dynamic stability is increased in proportion to the vibration amplitude at hypersonic speeds.

Anemia and immunological dysfunction(***)are commonly found in older subjects and nutritional approaches are sought to counteract these *** is a filamentous and multicellular bule-green alga capable of reducing inflammation and also manifesting antioxidant *** hypothesized that Spirulina may ameliorate anemia and immunosenescence in senior citizens with a history of *** enrolled 40 volunteers of both sexes with an age of 50 years or older who had no history of major chronic *** took a Spirulina supplementation for 12 weeks and were administered comprehensive dietary questionnaires to determine their nutritional regimen during the *** cell count(CCC)and indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase(IDO)enzyme activity,as a sign of immune function,were determined at baseline and weeks 6 and 12 of *** study participants completed the entire study and the data obtained were *** the 12-week study period,there was a steady increase in average values of mean corpuscular hemoglobin in subjects of both *** addition,mean corpuscular volume and mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration also increased in male *** women appeared to benefit more rapidly from Spirulina ***,the majority of subjects manifested increased IDO activity and white blood cell count at 6 and 12 weeks of Spirulina *** may ameliorate anemia and immunosenescence in older *** encourage large human studies to determine whether this safe supplement could prove beneficial in randomized clinical trials.

Aims Changes in light and temperature are among the most common and most profound environmental perturbations. The independent effects of light and temperature on photosynthesis and respiration are well studied in single leaves, but are less well studied in whole plants. The short and long term influence of light and temperature on carbon use efficiency is also poorly understood, and is commonly modeled to remain constant over a wide range of conditions. We sought to determine the primary effects of changing light at two growth temperatures on photosynthesis, respiration, and their balance, as defined by carbon use efficiency. methods We separated respiration into growth and maintenance components using whole-canopy gas-exchange in an elevated CO2 environment in a controlled environment, and supplemented that information with tissue analysis. Important findings Decreases in light level decreased carbon use efficiency through a reduction in the maintenance coefficient, increased the growth coefficient, and reduced partitioning of N in protein. Growth temperature did not significantly affect either maintenance or growth respiration coefficients, suggesting that long-term temperature responses can differ greatly from short-term observations.

Solid-state lithium batteries may provide increased energy density and improved safety compared with Li-ion ***,in a solid-state composite cathode,mechanical degradation due to repeated cathode volume changes during cycling may occur,whichmay be partially mitigated by applying a significant,but often impractical,uniaxial stack ***,we compare the behavior of composite electrodes based on Li4Ti5O12(LTO)(negligible volume change)and Nb2O5(+4%expansion)cycled at different stack *** initial LTO capacity and retention are not affected by pressure but for Nb2O5,they are significantly lower when a stack pressure ofmPa is applied,due to inter-particle cracking and solid-solid contact loss because of cyclic volume *** confirms the importance of cathode mechanical stability and the stack pressures for long-term cyclability for solid-state *** suggests that low volumechange cathode materials or a proper buffer layer are required for solid-state batteries,especially at low stack pressures.

Climate change is expected to have substantial effects on agricultural productivity worldwide. However, these impacts will differ across commodities, locations and time periods. As a result, landowners will see changes in relative returns that are likely to induce modifications in production practices and land allocation. In addition, regional variations in impacts can alter relative competitiveness across countries and lead to adjustments in international trade patterns. Thus in climate change impact studies it is likely useful to account for worldwide productivity effects. In this study, we investigate the implications of considering rest of world climate impacts on projections of the US agricultural exports. We chose to focus on the US because it is one of the largest agricultural exporters. To conduct our analyses, we consider four alternative climate scenarios, both with and without rest of world climate change impacts. Our results show that considering/ignoring rest of world climate impacts causes significant changes in the US production and exports projections. Thus we feel climate change impact studies should account not only for climate impacts in the country of focus but also on productivity in the rest of the world in order to capture effects on commodity markets and trade potential.

背景:前人研究已报道有关健全和残障儿童基础动作技能和体力活动间存在正相关,本研究尝试探讨这种关系的因果机制。我们假设当基础动作技能熟练度改善时,健全和残障儿童对体力活动的领悟力均会提高其:改善基础动作技能熟练度对残障儿童影响更大。方法:受试者包括典型发育的健全和有脑性麻痹的儿童,分别分配在基础动作技能训练组和对照组。训练组练习5组基础动作技能(跑、跳、踢、扔、抓),每周45 min,练习4周。对照组进行常规的物理治疗或体育活动课程。基础动作技能以过程和产品为导向的措施进行评估,用加速器测量训练前后的体力活动。结果:训练组的基础动作技能提高而对照组未提高。工作日体力活动都没有显著改变。常规物理治疗基础动作技能训练在周末增加了中高强度体力活动,然而常规物理治疗基础动作技能训练组和活动基础动作技能组在周末久坐时间都有减少。参加中高强度体力活动及久坐时变化程度大于可测量最小值(mDC_(90))受试者的百分比在脑瘫患儿中高于健全儿童。结论:周末提高基础动作技能熟练度可能会促进儿童增加体力活动、减少久坐时间。通过提高基础动作技能熟练度增强体力活动对残疾儿童的影响大于健全儿童。本研究的发现应在未来研究中得到进一步检测。
