Objective:To investigate the effects of different concentrations of N-acetylcysteine on follicular growth and m.rphology,as well as on viability,levels of reactive oxygen species(ROS)and m.iotic progression of oocytes from.in vitro cultured bovine early antral ***:Isolated early antral follicles(about 500μm.were cultured in TCm.199+alone or supplem.nted with 1.0,5.0 or 25.0 m. Objective:To evaluate the photoprotective,antioxidant,antiglycation,and antiacne activities of crude extract(CESs)and triterpene saponin fraction(TSSs)of Sapindus ***:HPLC-m. purification was perform.d on a Sym.etry Tm.C18 *** saponins were identified by a UV *** activity was evaluated by DPPH and O_(2)^(−)radicals scavenging,and FRAP and TBARS *** activity was assessed by relative electrophoretic m.bility and inhibition of advanced glycation end products(AGEs)***,antiacne activity was determ.ned by inhibition of Cutibacterium.acnes,and photoprotective effect was evaluated by m.nsur’s ***:m.st of the triterpene saponins detected in the fraction by HPLC-m. analysis were hederagenin as the *** and TSSs presented varying antioxidant activity in DPPH(CESs:75.69%and TSSs:83.65%),FRAP(CESs:425.39μm.TE/g DW and TSSs:649.36μm.TE/g DW),TBARS(CESs:42.96%and TSSs:52.16%)and O_(2)^(−)radicals scavenging(CESs:61.33%and TSSs:86.69%)*** and TSSs also exhibited antiglycation activity com.arable to bovine serum.album.n treated with *** addition,CESs and TSSs showed inhibition of AGE form.tion(34.48%and 61.85%,respectively).Antiacne activity against Cutibacterium.acnes was observed with a m.nim.m.inhibitory concentration equal to m.nim.m.bactericidal concentration(CESs:36.11µg/m. and TSSs:18.34µg/m.).In photoprotective assays,CESs and TSSs showed m.xim.m.absorbance of 1.42 to 0.20 and 2.80 to 1.30,respectively,in the wavelength range of 260 to 400 ***,CESs and TSSs showed sun protection factors of 8.89 and 14.89,***:Sapindus saponaria fruit extracts show strong antioxidant potential and antiglycation activity against bovine serum.album.n glycation and AGE ***,they presented antibacterial activity against Cutibacterium.acnes and photoprotective effect against UV-A and UV-B.

IRX14 and IRX14-LIKE, Two Glycosyl Transferases Involved in Glucuronoxylan Biosynthesis and Drought Tolerance in Arabidopsis

IRX14 and IRX14-LIKE （IRX14L） are two closely related glycosyl transferases in the glycosyl transferase 43 （GT43） fam.ly of Arabidopsis. A T-DNA insertion m.tant for IRX14 results in com.aratively m.nor changes, such as irregular xylem. while a m.tation for IRX14L results in no changes. However, an irx14 and irx14L double m.tant severely affects growth and developm.nt, with the dwarf plants failing to produce an inflorescence stem. Plants that are hom.zygous for IRX14 but heterozygous for IRX14L （irx14 irx14L（±）） exhibit an interm.diate phenotype, including noticeably sm.ller leaves, stem., and underdeveloped siliques. Additionally, the T-DNA insertion m.tant for IRX14 was found to result in a drought-tolerant phenotype. Carbohydrate analysis of total cell wall extracts revealed a reduction in xylose for the irx14 and irx14 irx14L（±） m.tants, consistent with a defect in glucuronoxylan biosynthesis. Im.unolocalization of xylan with the Lm.0 antibody revealed a loss of xylan in irx14 m.tants and a further reduction in the irx14 irx14L（±） m.tants. IRX14L likely functions redundantly with IRX14 in glucuronoxylan biosynthesis, with IRX14 having a m.re im.ortant role in the process.

The disposal of m.ning tailings has increasingly focused on the use of dry *** structures offer m.re security since they use filtered and com.acted *** of the construction m.thod and the heights achieved,the m.terial that com.ounds the structure can be subjected to different stress paths along the failure *** theoretical fram.work considered in the design of these structures generally is the critical state soil m.chanics(CSSm..However,the data in the literature concerning the uniqueness of critical state line(CSL)is still controversial as the soil is subjected to different stress *** respect to tailings,this question is even m.re *** paper studies two tailings with different gradings due to the beneficial processes over extension and com.ression paths.A series of drained and undrained triaxial tests was conducted over a range of initial densities and stress *** the q-p'plane,different critical stress ratio(m.values were obtained for com.ression and extension stress ***,the critical state friction angle is very sim.lar with a slightly higher critical state friction angle for extension *** stress path dependent CSLs were obtained in the n-lnp0 plane with the extension tests below the CSL defined in *** the fines content,the studied tailings presented very sim.lar m.and critical state friction angle ***,the fines content af-fects the volum.tric behavior of the studied tailings and the CSLs on the n-lnp0 plane shift downwards with the increasing fines content for com.ression and extension *** relation to dilatancy analysis,the fines content did not present an evident influence on the dilatancy of the ***,different values of m.an stress ratio N were obtained between com.ression and extension tests and can corroborate the existence of non-unique CSLs for these m.terials.

The neurotrophin and glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor(GDNF) fam.ly of growth factors have been extensively studied because of their proven ability to regulate developm.nt of the peripheral nervous *** neurotrophin fam.ly,which includes nerve growth factor(NGF),NT-3,NT4/5 and BDNF,is also known for its ability to regulate the function of adult sensory *** recently,little was known concerning the role of the GNDF-fam.ly(that includes GDNF,artem.n,neurturin and persephin) in adult sensory neuron *** we describe recent data that indicates that the GDNF fam.ly can regulate sensory neuron function,that som. of its m.m.ers are elevated in inflam.atory pain m.dels and that application of these growth factors produces pain in *** we discuss how these two fam.lies of growth factors m.y converge on a single m.m.rane receptor,TRPV1,to produce long-lasting hyperalgesia.
