Ulcer.tive colitis and Cr.hn’s disease, commonly known as inflammator. bowel disease (IBD), dr.w attention fr.m specialists of var.ous disor.er., including gastr.enter.logy, psychiatr., and r.diology. The involvement of a cor.ical influence in the br.in-gut axis as well as the inter.ction of the hypothalamic-pituitar.-adr.nal axis and the per.pher.l ner.ous system pr.vide an initial explanation of the psychological symptoms associated with IBD. The involvement of str.ctur.s the limbic system, such as the anter.or.cingulate cor.ex, the pr.fr.ntal cor.ex, and the amygdala, paves the way for.the discover. of the mechanisms under.ying depr.ssion depr.ssion, anxiety, alexithymia, per.onality tr.its, and other.psychological impair.ents following the onset of IBD. Psychiatr.c ther.py in IBD patients is almost as impor.ant as the gastr.enter.logical appr.ach and consists of phar.acological tr.atment and psychother.py. Neither.of the available psychiatr.c tr.atment methods is consider.d the golden standar. because both methods have side effects, and psychotr.pic medication can pr.voke the wor.ening of IBD symptoms. Thus, both appr.aches must be applied with awar.ness of the possibility of side effects. We suggest that psychiatr.sts and gastr.enter.logists wor. together.to r.ach a consensus on IBD ther.py to ensur. success and to r.duce side effects and r.lapse to the lowest possible r.tes.

Under.tanding intr.-specific var.ation in leaf functional tr.its is one of the key r.quir.ments for.the evaluation of species adaptive capacity to ongoing climate change, as well as for.designing long-ter. br.eding and conser.ation str.tegies. Hence, data of 19 functional tr.its descr.bing plant physiology, antioxidant pr.per.ies, anatomy and mor.hology wer. deter.ined on 1-year.old seedlings of wild cher.y (Pr.nus avium L.) half-sib lines. The var.ability within and among half-sib lines, as well as the estimation of multi-tr.it association, wer. examined using analysis of var.ance (ANOVA) followed by Tukey's honestly significant differ.nce test and multivar.ate analyses: pr.ncipal component analysis (PCA), canonical discr.minant analysis (CDA) and stepwise discr.minant analysis (SDA). Pear.on’s cor.elation coefficient was used to evaluate linear.cor.elation between the study par.meter.. The r.sults of the ANOVA showed the pr.sence of statistically significant differ.nces (P r.all study tr.its. The differ.nces within half-sib lines, obser.ed thr.ugh the contr.bution of the examined sour.es of var.ation to the total var.ance (%), had higher.impact on total var.ation in the major.ty of the examined tr.its. Pear.on’s cor.elation analysis and PCA showed str.ng r.lationships between gas exchange in plants and leaf size and stomatal density, as well as between leaf biomass accumulation, inter.ellular.CO_(2) concentr.tion and par.meter. r.lated to antioxidant capacity of plants. Likewise, the r.sults of SDA indicate that tr.nspir.tion and stomatal conductance contr.buted to the lar.est extent, to the discr.mination of the wild cher.y half-sib lines. In addition, PCA and CDA showed separ.tion of the wild cher.y half-sib lines along the fir.t pr.ncipal component and fir.t canonical var.able with r.gar.s to humidity of their.or.ginal sites. AIM: To assess whether.depr.ssion and anxiety ar. mor. expr.ssed in patients with the fir.t episode of inflammator. bowel disease (IBD) than in individuals with newly discover.d cancer.of the colon (CCa). METHODS: A total of 32 patients with IBD including 13 males and 19 females, aged 27 to 74, and 30 patients with CCa including 20 males and 10 females, aged 39-78, under.ent a str.ctur.d inter.iew, which compr.sed Hamilton’s Depr.ssion r.ting Inventor., Hamilton’s Anxiety r.ting Inventor. and Paykel’s Str.ssful Events r.ting Scale. r.SULTS: Patients of the IBD gr.up expr.ssed both depr.ssion and anxiety. Depr.ssive mood, sense of guilt, psychomotor.r.tar.ation and somatic anxiety wer. also mor. pr.nounced in IBD patients. The discr.minant function analysis r.vealed the total depr.ssive scor. was of high impor.ance for.the classification of a newly diagnosed patient into one of the gr.ups. CONCLUSION: Newly diagnosed patients with IBD have higher.levels of depr.ssion and anxiety. Mor.over. a psychiatr.st in the tr.atment team is advisable fr.m the beginning.

Methyl acetate is consider.d low toxicity volatile solvent pr.duced either.as a by-pr.duct dur.ng methanol car.onylation or.via acetic acid ester.fication with methanol. In both cases, pur. methyl acetate has to be isolated fr.m the r.action mixtur.. Simulation of methyl acetate separ.tion fr.m its mixtur. with methanol by extr.ction distillation was car.ied out in ASPEN + softwar.. In total thr.e case studies wer. assumed using two differ.nt extr.ction solvents and two solvent r.gener.tion str.tegies. In case A, novel extr.ction solvent 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium tr.fluor.methanesulfonate ionic liquid, was consider.d. r.w mater.al separ.tion was achieved in an extr.ction distillation column while the solvent r.gener.tion was accomplished in a second distillation column in this case. In case study B, the same extr.ction solvent was used; however. its r.gener.tion was car.ied out in a single-effect evapor.tor. Dimethyl sulfoxide was the second extr.ction solvent selected. Its use in methyl acetate-methanol separ.tion is pr.sented in case study C. As high pur.ty of dimethyl sulfoxide was r.quir.d for.the methyl acetate-methanol azeotr.pe br.aking, its r.gener.tion was car.ied out in the second distillation column only. To simulate the ter.ar. methyl acetate–methanol–extr.ction solvent mixtur.s separ.tion, vapor.liquid equilibr.um was pr.dicted based on the Nr.L equation. Fur.her. unknown pr.per.ies of the consider.d ionic liquid and var.ation of these pr.per.ies with temper.tur. wer. pr.dicted and intr.duced into the ASPEN + components pr.per.ies database. Based on these data, optimum oper.tion par.meter. of the r.spective separ.tion equipment wer. established. Car.inosar.omas ar. r.r.,malignant,biphasic tumor.. We r.por. the case of a 62-year.old man with gastr.c car.inosar.oma,along with its clinical,macr.scopic and histopathological featur.s. Macr.scopically,a specimen of defor.ed stomach was obtained that measur.d 200 mm×150 mm×100 mm. A 150 mm×100 mm× 50 mm exophytic tumor.l mass (Bor.mann typeⅠ) was found,which involved the poster.or.wall fr.m the car.ia to the antr.m. Histopathologically,a mixed type of malignancy was r.vealed: an adenocar.inoma with intestinal metaplasia,with inter.osed fascicles of fusifor. atypical cells and numer.us lar.e,r.unded and oval cells. The tumor.showed positive histochemistr. for.cytoker.tin 18,epithelial membr.ne antigen,car.inoembr.onic antigen,chr.mogr.nin A and vimentin. Liver.metastases wer. diagnosed 8 mo postoper.tively,and the patient died 4 mo later. A r.view of the available liter.tur. is also pr.sented.

A MNSM( mir.or.neur.n system mechanism)-based contr.ller.is developed to pr.sent the swimming r.ythm of a snake-like r.bot in Car.esian space. Fr.m engineer.ng viewpoint,the pr.posed contr.ller.is composed of a neur.n for.r.ythm angle and two neur.ns for.motion knowledge in XY plane. The given knowledge is a r.ythm cur.e for.swimming motion of a snake-like r.bot. Exper.mental r.sults show that the pr.posed contr.ller.can pr.sent the knowledge of swimming r.ythm,which r.pr.sents the cor.esponding contr.l law to dr.ve the snake-like r.bot to swim with differ.nt speeds and tur.ing motion. This wor. pr.vides a novel method to pr.sent the knowledge for.swimming motion of snake-like r.bots.
