Equations of Propagation of Uncertainty on the ITS-90 in the Sub-ranges from 13.8033 K to 933.473 K

Based on implicit differentiation, we present the total differential of linear interpolation and the equation of propagation of uncertainty on the ITS-90 in any of the sub-ranges from 13.8033K to 933.473K. It is proven that the sensitivity coefficients of the linear interpolation are still linear combinations of the basis functions comprising the interpolation equation, only with different constants that can be presented in the determinant form. This solves the question to express the equation of propagation of uncertainty of a complex interpolation comprised of many different basic functions.

Knowledge of carnivore diets is essential to understand how carnivore populations respond demographically to variations in prey abundance. Analysis of stable isotopes is a useful complement to traditional methods of analyzing carnivore diets. We used data on δ^13C and δ^15N in wolverine tissues to investigate patterns of seasonal and annual diet variation in a wolverine Gulo gulo population in the western Brooks Range, Alaska, USA. The stable isotope ratios in wolverine tissues generally reflected that of terrestrial carnivores, corroborating previous diet studies on wolverines. We also found variation in δ^13C and δ^15N both between muscle samples collected over several years and between tissues with different assimilation rates, even after correcting for isotopic fractionation. This suggests both annual and seasonal diet variation. Our results indicate that data on δ^13C and δ^15N holds promise for qualitative assessments of wolverine diet changes over time. Such temporal variation may be important indicators of ecological responses to environmental perturbations, and we suggest that more refined studies of stable isotopes may be an important tool when studying temporal change in diets of wolverines and similar carnivores [ Current Zoology 55 （3）： 188- 192, 2009].

Purification of selenoprotein P from rat plasma has allowed detailed characterization of the protein from that species. Chromatographic studies have revealed the existence of at least two isoforms of the *** isoform is a truncated protein with termination of protein synthesis occurring at the second selenocysteine codon. Immunohistochernical studies have shown that the rat protein is associated with capillary endothelial cells in the liver, kidney,and brain. In vivo experiments were designed to study the relationship between selenoprotein P and lipid peroxidation. F2 isoprostanes were measured to quantitate the extent of lipid peroxidation caused by diquat. Using selenium-deficient rats supplemented with seleniurn, it was demonstrated that selenoprotein P appearance correlated with disappearance of diquat-induced lipid peroxidation. This finding is consistent with the protein serving to protect the plasma membrane from oxidative damage. Development of a radioimmunoassay to measure selenoprotein P has allowed assessment of the protein in humans. Measurements of the protein in selenium-deficient Chinese subjects indicated that it can be used as an index of selenium nutritional status in humans

RAB guanosine triphosphatases （GTPases） are key regulators of vesicle trafficking and are essential to the growth and development of all eukaryotic cells. During evolution, the RAB family has expanded in different patterns to facilitate distinct cellular, developmental and physiological adaptations. Yeast has only 11 family members, whereas mammalian RABs have expanded to 18 RAB subfamilies. Plant RABs have diversified primarily by duplicating members within a single subfamily. Plant RABs are divided into eight subfamilies, corresponding to mammalian RAB1, RAB2, RAB5, RAB6, RAB7, RAB8, RAB11 and RAB18. Functional diversification of these is exemplified by the RAB1 ls, orthologs of which are partitioned into unique cell compartments in plants where they function to transport vesicles during localized tip growth. Similarly, the RAB2 family in grasses is likely involved in vesicle secretion associated with wall expansion, as determined by analysis of over-expression mutants. We propose that dicots and monocots have also diverged in their RAB profiles to accommodate unique cellular functions between the two groups. Here we present a bioinformatics analysis comparing the RAB sub-families of rice, maize and Arabidopsis. These results will guide future functional studies to test for the role of diversification of subfamilies unique to monocots compared to dicots.
