Catalysts for oxygen conversion play an important role in energy storage and conversion technologies such as metal-air *** highly active stable,and low-cost catalysts is critical for further implementation of the above ***,an efficien oxygen electrocatalyst with Co2P nanoparticles （NPs）coupling onto N,P-doped porous carbon nanosheets（Co2P@NPAC） derived from cotton stalk is successfully designed and prepared via activation,hydrothermal treatment,and pyrolysis *** excellent properties of electrical conductivity,mass transfer,and synergistic integration between Co2P and N,P-doped carbon endow Co2P@NPAC composite with superior oxygen reduction reaction/oxygen evolution reaction （ORR/OER） ***2P@NPAC catalyst achieves ORR activity with half-wave potential of 0.85 V and high OER activity with overpotential of 261 mV at 10 mA·*** flexible Zn-air batteries （ZABs） based on Co2P@NPAC catalyst revea outstanding performances with a high open-circuit voltage（1.38 V）,a peak power density of (75 mW·cm-2),and a low charge-discharge voltage gap （0.74 V,～200 cycles）The flexible ZABs express the stable discharge-charge voltage gap at various bending *** work provides interesting inspiration for the ingenious design of efficien carbon electrocatalysts from biomass with potential application of energy storage and conversion devices.

Luteolin alleviates sorafenib-induced ferroptosis of BRL-3A cells through modulation of the Nrf2/GPX4 signaling pathway

Background:Luteolin is a flavonoid chemical that exists in a variety of medicinal and edible plants and holds many biologically active properties in liver protection,anti-cancer,antioxidants,anti-inflammatory,neuroprotective,*** to its hepatoprotective properties,luteolin was selected to co-treat with sorafenib,one of the approved protein kinase inhibitors,to reduce sorafenib-induced normal liver cell ***:The BRL-3A cell line was treated with sorafenib to establish a liver injury model,followed by luteolin *** cell viability was detected,and the mechanism of action was detected by immunofluorescence,western blotting,and real-time quantitative ***:The research findings demonstrated that luteolin could increase cystine/glutamate transporter xCT(SLC7A11)and glutathione peroxidase 4(GPX4)expression and display a chelating effect on iron,which led to increased glutathione and decreased malondialdehyde,Fe^(2+) and lipid reactive oxygen species contents in BRL-3A cells,and the sorafenib-induced mitochondrial membrane potential decrease was also *** addition,when sorafenib caused the accumulation of lipid reactive oxygen species,luteolin could help release this oxidative stress by activating nuclear factor E2-related factor 2(Nrf2)and up-regulating the expression of the associated genes heme oxygenase 1(HO-1)and quinone oxidoreductase 1(NQO1).Conclusion:Therefore,luteolin may ameliorate sorafenib-induced ferroptosis by activating the Nrf2-associated pathway without any impact on sorafenib anti-cancer *** can be used as an adjuvant to sorafenib to reduce liver injury in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma.

Background:Drug-induced liver damage is a severe medical issue that affects people all over the *** has some side effects that cause liver injury.A dietary medicinal plant called Penthorum chinense Pursh.(PCP)has hepatoprotective *** are currently few reports on PCP’s protective impact and mechanism against sorafenib-induced liver ***:To create a liver injury model,sorafenib was administered to BRL-3A *** viability assays,immunofluorescence tests,Western blotting,real-time quantitative PCR,and high-content imaging systems were utilized to examine PCP’s effect and ***:In this study,PCP treatment mitigated the liver damage caused by sorafenib by enhancing cell survival,lowering lipid reactive oxygen species and malondialdehyde levels,and elevating glutathione *** addition,PCP can enhance the protein expression of cystine/glutamate transporter xCT and glutathione peroxidase 4,reduce iron content and alleviate mitochondrial *** mechanism studies revealed that PCP inhibited ferroptosis by promoting the production of nuclear factor E2-related factor 2 nuclear translocation and subsequently affecting target genes(HO-1 and NQO1).Conclusion:Together,PCP regulates the nuclear factor E2-related factor 2 pathway,which helps to lessen ferroptosis brought on by sorafenib.

Low power LNA using the MOSFETs in moderate inversion

This paper presents an integrated complementary metal oxide semiconductor （CMOS） low power low noise amplifier （LNA） for global positioning system （GPS） receivers. To achieve low power dissipation, the MOS transistors in the proposed LNA are biased in moderate inversion region. It is implemented by SMIC 180 nm 1P6M CMOS process. The experiment results show that a gain of 12.14 dB@l.57 GHz is achieved with low noise figure （NF） of 1.62 dB. The power consumption of the circuit is 1.5 mW at supply voltage of 1.8 V. The ratio of gain to dc power consumption is 8 dB/mW. The size of the LNA is only 980 μm ×720 μm including the pads.

Apollo: Rapidly Picking the Optimal Cloud Configurations for Big Data Analytics Using a Data-Driven Approach

Big data analytics applications are increasingly deployed on cloud computing infrastructures,and it is still a big challenge to pick the optimal cloud configurations in a cost-effective *** this paper,we address this problem with a high accuracy and a low *** propose Apollo,a data-driven approach that can rapidly pick the optimal cloud configurations by reusing data from similar *** first classify 12 typical workloads in BigDataBench by characterizing pairwise correlations in our offline *** a new workload comes,we run it with several small datasets to rank its key characteristics and get its similar *** on the rank,we then limit the search space of cloud configurations through a classification *** last,we leverage a hierarchical regression model to measure which cluster is more suitable and use a local search strategy to pick the optimal cloud configurations in a few extra *** evaluation on 12 typical workloads in HiBench shows that compared with state-of-the-art approaches,Apollo can improve up to 30%search accuracy,while reducing as much as 50%overhead for picking the optimal cloud configurations.

InAs/InAsSb type-Ⅱ superlattice with near room-temperature long-wave emission through interface engineering

Ga-free InAs/InAsSb type-Ⅱ superlattices(T2SL) have extensive application prospective in infrared photodetectors. Achieving higher operation temperature is critical to its commercial applications. Here, a fractional monolayer alloy method was used to grow InAsSb alloy with better controlled alloy composition. The as-grown T2SL gave eleven satellite peaks and a first satellite peak with a narrow full-width-half-maximum (FWHM) of 20.5arcsec (1 arcsec=0.01592°). Strain mapping results indicated limited Sb diffusion through the As-Sb exchange process at the interface. Moreover, unlike interface states caused by the As-Sb exchange effect, this relatively clear interface was distinctive with localized states with higher activation energies of the non-radiative recombination process ((18±1) meV and (84±12) meV at different temperature ranges), which means that this interface state introduced by fractional monolayer alloy growth method can effectively suppress Auger recombination process in T2SL. Through this interface engineering of InAs/InAsSb Type-Ⅱ superlattice, it achieved detective photoluminescence (PL) signal with the center wavelength of 9μm at 250K.

Therapeutic efficiency of tissue-engineered human corneal endothelium transplants on rabbit primary corneal endotheliopathy

To evaluate the therapeutic efficiency of tissue-engineered human corneal endothelia (TE-HCEs) on rabbit primary corneal endotheliopathy (PCEP),TE-HCEs reconstructed with monoclonal human corneal endothelial cells (mcHCECs) and modified denuded amniotic membranes (mdAMs) were transplanted into PCEP models of New Zealand white rabbits using penetrating *** TE-HCEs were examined using diverse techniques including slit-lamp biomicroscopy observation and pachymeter and tonometer measurements in vivo,and fluorescent microscopy,alizarin red staining,paraffin sectioning,scanning and transmission electron microscopy observations in *** corneas of transplanted eyes maintained transparency for as long as 200 d without obvious edema or immune *** corneal thickness of transplanted eyes decreased gradually after transplanting,reaching almost the thickness of normal eyes after 156 d,while the TE-HCE non-transplanted eyes were turbid and showed obvious corneal *** polygonal corneal endothelial cells in the transplanted area originated from the TE-HCE *** intact monolayer corneal endothelium had been reconstructed with the morphology,cell density and structure similar to those of normal rabbit corneal *** conclusion,the transplanted TE-HCE can reconstruct the integrality of corneal endothelium and restore corneal transparency and thickness in PCEP *** TE-HCE functions normally as an endothelial barrier and pump and promises to be an equivalent of HCE for clinical therapy of human PCEP.

Validity and reliability testing of the Chinese (mainland) version of the 39-item Parkinson's Disease Questionnaire (PDQ-39)

The 39-item Parkinson's Disease Questionnaire (PDQ-39) has been tested in many languages, but not in Chinese mainland. We aimed to assess the Chinese (mainland) version of the PDQ-39. Seventy-one subjects with Parkinson's disease (PD) completed the PDQ-39 and the Medical Outcomes Study 36-item Short Form Health Survey (SF-36). All subjects were retested with the PDQ-39 a week later. The united Parkinson's disease rating scale (UPDRS) and the Hoehn and Yahr (H & Y) scale were also used to evaluate the subjects. Reliability was assessed by Cron- bach's α and intra-class correlation coefficient (ICC). Validity was examined in terms of agreement with SF-36, UPDRS, and H & Y scales. The Chinese (mainland) version of the PDQ-39 demonstrated acceptable reliability (Cronbach's α: 0.84-0.88; ICC: 0.56-0.82). The item-total correlations (0.33-0.88) and scaling success rates (77.56%) indicated satisfactory convergent and discriminant validity of the PDQ-39 items. The correlations between related constructs of the PDQ-39 and UPDRS (r=0.44-0.68) and between those of the PDQ-39 and SF-36 (r=(-0.46)-(-0.69)) were all statistically significant (Pbodily discomfort, all other dimensions of the PDQ-39 significantly discriminated patients at different H & Y stages indicated by the H & Y scale. Although our observations indicate that some problematic subscales of this version of the PDQ-39 could be improved upon, this study suggests acceptable reliability and validity of the Chinese (mainland) version of the PDQ-39.

Tumor hypoxia severely limits the therapeutic efficacy of photodynamic therapy(PDT) for solid tumors,which is highly dependent on tissue oxygen *** this study,we developed a platinum(Ⅱ)-acetylide-based metallacycle compound bearing six 1,4-dimethylnaphthalenes(DMN) groups,and controlled the photodynamic and photothermal effects of the compound by adjusting the power of 730 nm laser to achieve reversible sensitization,storage and release of 1~O_(2) within a single *** compound formed nanoparticles by self-assembly and exhibited good water solubility and *** laser irradiation,the strong spin-orbit coupling of platinum atoms in the metallacycle facilitated 1~O_(2) *** produced 1~O_(2) was captured by the DMN carriers and transported into the hypoxic tumor,where 1~O_(2) release was triggered owing to the good photothermal effect of the extended conjugation of the *** therapy,the metallacycle serving as a photosensitizer,1~O_(2) carrier,and photothermal reagent,achieved the synergistic therapy of PDT/PTT,demonstrating the versatility of the *** study proposes a new strategy to develop phototherapy agents that are suitable for hypoxic tumors.

Friction as energy dissipation process associated with superlubricity of solids
