Effects of conductive agent type on lithium extraction from salt lake brine with LiFePO_(4) electrodes

Electrochemical lithium extraction from salt lakes is an effective strategy for obtaining lithium at a low ***,the elevated Mg:Li ratio and the presence of numerous coexisting ions in salt lake brines give rise to challenges,such as prolonged lithium extraction periods,diminished lithium extraction efficiency,and considerable environmental *** this work,Li FePO4(LFP)served as the electrode material for electrochemical lithium *** conductive network in the LFP electrode was optimized by adjusting the type of conductive *** approach resulted in high lithium extraction efficiency and extended cycle *** the single conductive agent of acetylene black(AB)or multiwalled carbon nanotubes(MWCNTs)was replaced with the mixed conductive agent of AB/MWCNTs,the average diffusion coefficient of Li+in the electrode increased from 2.35×10^(-9)or 1.77×10^(-9)to 4.21×10^(-9)cm^(2)·s^(-1).At the current density of 20 mA·g^(-1),the average lithium extraction capacity per gram of LFP electrode increased from 30.36 mg with the single conductive agent(AB)to 35.62 mg with the mixed conductive agent(AB/MWCNTs).When the mixed conductive agent was used,the capacity retention of the electrode after 30 cycles reached 82.9%,which was considerably higher than the capacity retention of 65.8%obtained when the single AB was ***,the electrode with mixed conductive agent of AB/MWCNTs provided good cycling *** the conductive agent content decreased or the loading capacity increased,the electrode containing the mixed conductive agent continued to show excellent electrochemical ***,a self-designed,highly efficient,continuous lithium extraction device was *** electrode utilizing the AB/MWCNT mixed conductive agent maintained excellent adsorption capacity and cycling performance in this *** work provides a new perspective for the electrochemical extraction of lithium using LFP electrodes.

Safe operation of electrochemical capacitors （supercapacitors） is hindered by the flammability of commercial organic ***-flammable Waterin-Salt （WIS） electrolytes are promising alternatives; however,they are plagued by the limited operation voltage window （typically≤2.3 V） and inherent corrosion of current ***,a novel deep eutectic solvent（DES）-based electrolyte which uses formamide （FMD） as hydrogen-bond donor and sodium nitrate （NaNO3） as hydrogen-bond acceptor is *** electrolyte exhibits the wide electrochemical stability window （3.14 V）,high electrical conductivity (14.01 mS cm-1),good flameretardance,anticorrosive property,and ultralow cost （7%of the commercial electrolyte and 2%of WIS）.Raman spectroscopy and Density Functional Theory calculations reveal that the hydrogen bonds between the FMD molecules and NO3-ions are primarily responsible for the superior stability and *** developed NaNO3/FMD-based coin cell supercapacitor is among the best-performing state-of-art DES and WIS devices,evidenced by the high voltage window （2.6 V）,outstanding energy and power densities(22.77 Wh kg-1at 630 W kg-1and 17.37 kW kg-1at 12.55 Wh kg-1),ultralong cyclic stability （86%after 30 000 cycles）,and negligible current collector *** NaNO3/FMD industry adoption potential is demonstrated by fabricating 100 F pouch cell supercapacitors using commercial aluminum current collectors.

In this editorial,we comment on the article by Wang et al published in the recent issue of the World Journal of Gastroenterology in *** focused on identifying risk factors for lymph node metastasis(LNM)in superficial esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(SESCC)patients and how to construct a simple and reliable clinical prediction model to assess the risk of LNM in SESCC patients,thereby helping to guide the selection of an appropriate treatment *** current standard treatment for SESCC is radical esophagectomy with lymph node ***,esophagectomy is associated with considerable morbidity and *** resection(ER)offers a safer and less invasive alternative to surgical resection and can enable the patient's quality of life to be maintained while providing a satisfactory ***,since ER is a localized treatment that does not allow for lymph node dissection,the risk of LNM in SESCC limits the effectiveness of *** LNM status can aid in determining whether patients with SESCC can be cured by ER without the need for additional *** studies have shown that tumor size,macroscopic type of tumor,degree of differentiation,depth of tumor invasion,and lymphovascular invasion are factors associated with LNM in patients with *** addition,tumor budding is commonly associated with LNM,recurrence,and distant metastasis,but this topic has been less covered in previous *** comprehensively evaluating the above risk factors for LNM,useful evidence can be obtained for doctors to select appropriate treatments for SESCC patients.

BACKGROUND Perioperative allogeneic blood transfusion is associated with poorer *** To identify the factors that were associated with perioperative transfusion and to examine the impact of perioperative transfusion in patients undergoing resection of colorectal cancer(CRC)liver *** The United States National Inpatient Sample(NIS)database was searched for patients with CRC who received surgery for liver *** and logistic regression analyses were *** A total of 2018 patients were included,and 480 had a perioperative *** admission(adjusted odds ratio[aOR]=1.42;95%CI:1.07-1.87),hepatic lobectomy(aOR=1.76;95%CI:1.42-2.19),and chronic anemia(aOR=2.62;95%CI:2.04-3.35)were associated with increased chances of receiving a transfusion,but receiving surgery at a teaching hospital(aOR=0.75;95%CI:0.58-0.98)was associated with a decreased chance of receiving a *** a perioperative transfusion was significantly associated with increased in-hospital mortality(aOR=3.38;95%CI:1.57-7.25),and increased overall postoperative complications(aOR=1.67;95%CI:1.31-2.13),as well as longer length of hospital stay CONCLUSION Patients with an emergency admission,hepatic lobectomy,chronic anemia,and who have surgery at a non-teaching hospital are more likely to receive a perioperative *** with CRC undergoing surgery for hepatic metastases who receive a perioperative transfusion are at a higher risk of inhospital mortality,postoperative complications,and longer length of hospital stay.

This study investigated the leaching of scandium from a Sc-bearing silicate *** Sc concentrate obtained by beneficiation pre-enrichment has 1.03×10^(−4) wt%Sc and 14.66 wt%*** main Sc-bearing minerals are limonite,chlorite,sericite,and hornblende,in the form of ***-pressure leaching(HPL)with sulfuric acid(98 wt%)and NaF was used to dispose this *** Sc leaching efficiency of 91.82%was obtained under the optimum conditions,which are pressure of 5.0×10^(5) Pa,A/O value of 1.1,L/S value of 1.8,NaF dosage of 2 wt%,at 130℃ for 6 *** X-ray diffraction(XRD)and scanning electron microscopy(SEM)results show that the residue is mainly quartz phase in the multihole *** with ordinary leaching for silicate,high-pressure leaching has significant advantages in saving acid and energy consumption.

A benchmark experiment on^(238)U slab samples was conducted using a deuterium-tritium neutron source at the China Institute of Atomic *** leakage neutron spectra within energy levels of 0.8-16 MeV at 60°and 120°were measured using the time-of-flight *** samples were prepared as rectangular slabs with a 30 cm square base and thicknesses of 3,6,and 9 *** leakage neutron spectra were also calculated using the MCNP-4C program based on the latest evaluated files of^(238)U evaluated neutron data from CENDL-3.2,ENDF/B-Ⅷ.0,JENDL-5.0,and *** on the comparison,the deficiencies and improvements in^(238)U evaluated nuclear data were *** results showed the following.(1)The calculated results for CENDL-3.2 significantly overestimated the measurements in the energy interval of elastic scattering at 60°and 120°.(2)The calculated results of CENDL-3.2 overestimated the measurements in the energy interval of inelastic scattering at 120°.(3)The calculated results for CENDL-3.2 significantly overestimated the measurements in the 3-8.5 MeV energy interval at 60°and 120°.(4)The calculated results with JENDL-5.0 were generally consistent with the measurement results.
