AIM:To study the association between.exposure toSalmonella en.erica(se)and Crohn’s disease(CD)and its clinical implications in Chilean ***:ninety-four un.elated Chilean CD patients from CAReI(Active Cohort Registry of Inflammatory Bowel Disease)presenting to a single inflammatory bowel disease(IBD)unit of a University Hospital were prospectively included in this study.A complete clinical evaluation,including smoking history,was performed at the initial visit,and all the important data of clinical evolution of CD were *** samples from these CD patients and 88 healthy sex-and agematched control subjects were analyzed for exposure to se and for their nOD2/CARD15 gene status using the presen.e of anti-Salmonella lipopolysaccharide antibodies[immunoglobulin-G type(IgG)]and polymerase chain reaction(PCR),*** also evaluated exposure to se in 90 sex-and age-matched patients without CD,but with known smoking status(30 smokers,30 non-smokers,and 30 former smokers).ReSULTS:CD patients comprised 54 females and 40males,aged 35.5±15.2 years at diagnosis with a mean follow-up of 9.0±6.8 *** was inflammatory in 59 patients(62.7%),stricturing in 24(25.5%)and penetrating in 15(15.5%).Thirty cases(31.9%)had lesions in the ileum,29(30.8%)had ileocolonic lesions,32(34.0%)had colonic lesions and 23(24.4%)had perianal *** CD patients(17%)were exposed to se compared to 15(17%)of 88 healthy control subjects(P=0.8).Thirty-one CD patients(32.9%)were smokers,and 7(7.4%)were former smokers at *** the group exposed to se,10 of 16 patients(62.5%)were active smokers compared to 21 of 78 patients(26.9%)in the unexposed group(P=0.01).On the other hand,10 of 31 smoking patients(32%)were exposed to se compared to 5 of 56 nonsmoking patients(9%),and one of the seven former smokers(14%)(P=0.01).In the group of 90 patients without CD,but whose smoking status was known,there was no differ-en.e in.exposure to se[3 of 30 smokers(10%),5 of30 non-s

Gene expression microarray data can be used to classify tumor types. We proposed a new procedure to classify human tumor samples based on microarray gene expressions by using a hybrid supervised learning method called MOeA+WV (Multi-Objective evolutionary Algorithm+Weighted Voting). MOeA is used to search for a relatively few subsets of informative genes from the high-dimensional gene space, and WV is used as a classification tool. This new method has been applied to predicate the subtypes of lymphoma and outcomes of medulloblastoma. The results are relatively accurate and meaningful compared to those from other methods. 本文分析了居住在加拿大的101例中国人的apoe表型和其等位基因顷率以及性别、身高、体重、年龄、膳食和血浆各项脂质指标（TG、Chol、HDL-C,LDL-B,apoB,apoe）。 101例中国人中,e 3/3占65.3％,e3/4占10.9％,e2/3占22.8％,e2/4占1.0％。未发现e2/2和e 4/4二个纯合子。其中apoe 3/3离于西方人群。ε 3等位基因为0.822,也明显高于西方人群:结果分析表明,在加拿大居住时间的长短明显地影响TG水平。居住时间每噌加一年,TG约增加7.23mg/dl;其它血脂水平,如LDL—apoB、VLDL—chol,等也与居住时间的长短有密切关系。HDL-C阳HDL2-C与性别有密切关系。还分析了等位基因ε2、ε3和ε4对血脂水平的影响,并与西方人群等位基因的相对频率进行了比较。

In this paper we present a designated verifier-set signature(DVSS),in which the signer allows to designate many verifiers rather than one verifier,and each designated verifier can verify the validity of signature by *** research starts from identity-based aggregator(iba)that compresses a designated set of verifier’s identities to a constant-size random string in cryptographic *** iba is constructed by mapping the hash of verifier’s identity into zero or pole of a target curve,and extracting one curve’s point as the result of aggregation according to a specific *** the different types of target curves,these two ibas are called as zeros-based aggregator and poles-based aggregator,*** on them,we propose a practical DVSS scheme constructed from the zero-pole can.ellation method which can.eliminate the same elements between zeros-based aggregator and poles-based *** to this design,our DVSS scheme has some distinct advantages:(1)the signature supporting arbitrary dynamic verifiers extracted from a large number of users;and(2)the signature with short and constant *** rigorously prove that our DVSS scheme satisfies the security properties:correctness,consistency,unforgeability and *** is a preview of subscription con.ent,log in to check access.

The aim of the present study was to evaluate the applicability of maximal photochemical efficiency of photosystem II (Fv/Fm) as an.early estimate of P. radiata micrografts viability coming from different position (basal vs. apical) in the ortets. We hypothesize that Fv/Fm variation is a good indicator of micrograft’s viability and phenological stage during micrograft development. The micrografts were established in QL medium supplemen.ed whit 0.1 mg·L-1 iba and 1 mg·L-1 BAP and cultured at 25°C ± 2°C and 80 μmol photons m-2s-1 of photosynthetic active radiation by 16 h per day. During the establishment and consolidation phase, we found significant differen.es in Fv/Fm with respect to time and buds positions proven.en.e. During establishment, basal shoot tips have lower Fv/Fm than apical shoot tips, which agrees with the lowest viability (35%). However, during the consolidation phase, the trend chan.ed and basal shoot tips presen.ed higher Fv/Fm than apical shoot tips and showed an increase in.eTR and nPQ, with respect to apical shoots and ortet. Although the measurement of fluorescen.e parameters implies the in.ertion of the fluorometer son.e in vitro, this implies aseptic considerations, but always con.eies a contamination risk. We conclude that fluorescen.e (Fv/Fm, eTR, nPQ) can be indicators of the micrograft’s development according to the shoot tips position in the ortet and can be useful early-indicators of the scions’ physiological condition during micrograft transition from establishment to consolidation.

为探究外源激素对沙枣嫩枝扦插生根的影响,以沙枣当年生嫩枝为扦插材料,采用不同质量浓度的单一和复合外源激素处理插穗3 h,分析扦插生根过程中的插穗生根情况,并测定插穗基部的营养物质质量分数、氧化酶活性的动态变化。结果表明:不同外源激素处理间差异极显著(Piba复合激素处理沙枣嫩枝插穗,生根率可以达到82.22%,同时插穗的可溶性糖质量分数、可溶性蛋白质量分数、POD酶活性与PPO酶活性均显著高于其他处理。在插穗生根期(45 d),50 mg·L^(-1)IAA+100 mg·L^(-1)iba复合激素处理后的插穗内POD酶活性与PPO酶活性达到高峰,分别为706.67、123.81 U·g^(-1)·min^(-1)。插穗生根率与可溶性蛋白、POD活性显著正相关。因此,外源激素处理可以有效促进沙枣嫩枝扦插效果,复合激素处理插穗的效果明显优于单一激素处理。采用50 mg·L^(-1)IAA+100 mg·L^(-1)iba复合激素处理沙枣嫩枝插穗3 h生根效果最佳,可显著提高营养物质质量分数和氧化酶活性,促进插穗生根。

Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is sensitive to loading and mechanical stress that provokes morphological chan.es produced by the impact in the occlusal plane. Here, this impact is evaluated in TMJ articular disc and articular cartilage using an in vivo model of unilateral occlusal plane impact and by analysis of serial tissue sections stained with Hematoxylin.eosin (H-e) or with Masson trichrome technique. Thus, six groups of 5 Wistar rats (200 - 250 g) are subjected to biomechanical dental stimulation by placing unilateral resin occlusal in.erferen.e, or unilateral tooth wear made by upper left molars artificial mechanical devastation (1 control and 2 experimental groups for each treatment). each treatment is evaluated two times at 1 and 15 days post-treatment. By H-e staining, control groups show chondrocytes arran.ement as several cord cell groups in comparison with the experimental groups, which show an arran.ement in one cord cell along of articular disc. However, this yields no significant differen.e (p n cell number between control and experimental groups. In contrast, in articular cartilage chondrocytes are random distributed along the superficial zone in control groups, while in.experimental groups cell-free regions are observed in superficial zone. An image Blue hue analysis for trichrome stain is performed to quantify collagen;this shows a significant collagen decrease (p n almost all experimental groups compared with the controls. A degenerative process biomechanically induced by unilateral occlusal plane modification, causes cell and tissue chan.es on the TMJ structures that remain the degenerative chan.es observed in.early osteoarthritis.
