The objective of our study was to investigate the association between the Arg16Gly polymorphism in the β2-АR gene and body mass index (BMI) in patients with bronchial asthma (BA) with regard to the age of onset. Materials and methods: 553 patients were examined. The control group consisted of 95 apparently healthy individuals. The patients were divided into 2 groups depending on the age of BA onset: 282 patients with late onset (Group I) and 271 patients with early onset (Group II). Arg16Gly polymorphism in the β2-АR gene (rs1042713) was determined using polymerase chain reaction- restriction fragment length polymorphism analysis. Statistical analysis of obtained results was performed using SPSS–17 program. Alloy nanoparticles(nanoalloys)are widely applied in heterogeneous catalysts,advanced electrodes,biomaterials,and other *** properties of nanoalloys can be tuned to a significant extent by their structures and compositions,which are governed by the employed synthetic *** such synthesis occurs in nonequilibrium conditions and yields nanoalloys with structures and properties that are different from those obtained in thermodynamic *** this work,we characterize how the non-equilibrium conditions during the synthesis of Cu-Au alloys via physical vapor deposition(PVD)affect their morphology,composition,electronic structure,and reactivity in CO *** used molecular dynamics to simulate the PVD synthesis of Cu-Au nanoalloys through the non-isothermal aggregation of Cu and Au atoms at a 3:1 ratio in the Ar atmosphere to obtain realistic structures of Cu-Au *** to the different aggregation kinetics of Au and Cu atoms,the average Au concentration in the obtained Cu-Au particles varied between 14% and 50% depending on the nanoparticle size and the aggregation *** functional simulations revealed that the reactivity of the obtained Cu-Au clusters toward CO and oxygen as well as Brønsted-Evans-Polanyi relations for CO oxidation significantly depend on whether the clusters had fcc,icosahedral,or amorphous structures and do not strongly correlate with the d-band centers of the adsorption *** study highlights the importance of the non-equilibrium character of nanoalloy structure and composition for their electronic structure and catalytic *** performed analysis of the reactivity of Cu-Au clusters with realistic structures in CO oxidation will help the optimization of Cu-Au catalysts for this societally important reaction.

Sorghum’s natural adaptation to a wide range of abiotic stresses provides diverse genetic reserves for potential improvement in crop stress tolerance. Growing interest in sorghum research has led to the expansion of genetic resources though establishment of the sorghum association panel (SAP), generation of mutagenized populations, and recombinant inbred line (RIL) populations, etc. Despite rapid improvement in biotechnological tools, lack of efficient phenotyping platforms remains one of the major obstacles in utilizing these genetic resources. Scarcity of efforts in root system phenotyping hinders identification and integration of the superior root traits advantageous to stress tolerance. Here, we explored multiple approaches in root phenotyping of an ethyl methanesulfonate (EMS)-mutagenized sorghum population. Paper-based growth pouches (PGP) and hydroponics were employed to analyze root system architecture (RSA) variations induced by mutations and to test root development flexibility in response to phosphorus deficiency in early growing stages. PGP method had improved capabilities compared to hydroponics providing inexpensive, space-saving, and high-throughput phenotyping of sorghum roots. Preliminary observation revealed distinct phenotypic variations which were qualitatively and quantitatively systemized for association analysis. Phenotypes/ideotypes with root architecture variations potentially correlated with Pi acquisition were selected to evaluate their contribution to P-efficiency (PE). Sand mixed with P-loaded activated alumina substrate (SAS) provided closely to natural but still controlled single-variable conditions with regulated Pi availability. 本文试图回答是什么引起了 2010年以后中国和欧盟之间关系上出现的挫折,以及之后在合作伙伴关系上发生的变化。这项研究首先从2010年的问题入手,讨论了中欧伙伴关系目前的挫折是什么,为什么近年来出现挫折。为了回答这个问题,研究深入回顾了现有文献,表明了中欧关系到2010年的基础是制度安排和欧盟对中国的规范性概念和伙伴关系。然而,2010年后,欧盟自由民族国家的危机以及大衰退使中欧关系发生了变化。研究的第二个问题是为什么中欧关系会出现挫败。为了找到答案,本文阅读了最近的相关文献并指出,在经济不对称的情况下,欧盟的自由民族国家危机极大地扭曲了中欧之间对中国有利的伙伴关系。最后一个问题是为什么欧盟反对中国对欧盟问题提出的倡议。中国与中东欧国家的“16+1”政治格局的案例研究,部分回答了这一问题。本文该部分内容主要阐述了为什么欧盟起初就对中国的倡议持有怀疑的态,同时在历史基础上提供了更多有关欧盟的言论。本章认为,中国进入欧盟的调控领域所引发的反应不是一个简单的区域竞争,而是思想上的竞争:欧盟在该地区扮演着整合并提供经济和政治机会的角色。此外,东欧在1989年之前对共产主义的相关经验,为中国进入该领域引起的“东方”与“西方”之间的竞争提供开放性的解释。

The article deals with the modern trends of gamification which had appeared thanks to the changes in the political sphere in Georgia and the Ukraine. The behavior models of Mayor of Tbilisi Kakha Kaladze and Ukrainian presidential candidate Volodymyr Zelensky transform the traditional definition of the gamification process. Applying the elements of TV series and concerts, lives in social media and consultations with Facebook users reverse the classical system of gamification, making it more ramified and compound. However, the transformation in this sphere in Georgia and the Ukraine started only a year ago, that is why this problem did not achieve corresponding attention of researches. Therefore, the gamification in the mass media of Georgia and the Ukraine becomes one of the most neglected aspects in the modern media space and, consequently, requires careful examination.

AIM:To evaluate bacteriocinogeny in short-term highdose indomethacin administration with or without probiotic Escherichia coli Nissle 1917(EcN) in experimental ***:Twenty-four pigs entered the study:Group A(controls),Group B(probiotics alone),Group C(indomethacin alone) and Group D(probiotics and indomethacin).EcN(3.5 × 1010 bacteria/d for 14 d) and/or indomethacin(15 mg/kg per day for 10 d) were administrated *** smears before and smears from the small and large intestine were taken from all *** production was determined with 6 different indicator strains;all strains were polymerase chain reaction tested for the presence of 29 individual bacteriocinencoding ***:The general microbiota profile was rather uniform in all animals but there was a broad diversity in coliform bacteria(parallel genotypes A,B1,B2 and D found).In total,637 bacterial strains were tested,mostly Escherichia coli(***).There was a higher incidence of *** strains among samples taken from the jejunum and ileum compared to that of the colon and rectum indicating predominance of *** strains in the large *** was found in 24/77(31%) before and in 155/560(28%) isolated bacteria at the end of the ***,13 individual bacteriocin types(out of 29 tested) were identified among investigated *** of four *** genotypes was equally distributed in all groups of *** strains,with majority of genotype A(ranging from 81% to 88%).The following types of bacteriocins were most commonly revealed:colicins Ia/Ib(44%),microcin V(18%),colicin E1(16%) and microcin H47(6%).There was a difference in bacteriocinogeny between control group A(52/149,35%) and groups with treatment at the end of the study:B:31/122(25%,P = 0.120);C:43/155(28%,P = 0.222);D:29/134(22%,P = 0.020).There was a significantly lower prevalence of colicin Ib,microcins H47 and V(probiotics group,P < 0.001),colicin E1 and microcin H47(indomethacin

In tubers of two potato cultivars and in one apple cultivar, water clusters, consisting of 11 ± 1, 100, 178, 280, 402, 545, 715, 903, 119, 1351, 1606 and 1889 molecules, were directly (in-vivo) analyzed by gravitation spectroscopy. The clusters’ interactions with their surroundings during plant growth in summer 2006 in Germany were described where a model represents the states of water clusters in bio matrices. Furthermore, a comparison with clusters in irrigation water (river, rain) is given. To achieve a high and good quality yield it is necessary to choose the right irrigation water that has to correspond with the water cluster super structure in plants. The formation energy for the (H2O)280 cluster during plant growth is between 0.4 and 1.3 kJ/mol. Water clusters were found to communicate with surroundings by resonance field oscillations. The main cluster parameters which were investigated are intensities of oscillations, average molecular masses, rate of collapsed clusters, and total number of clusters in ensemble during potato (apple) growth. A correlation between the change of water cluster ensembles in plants with molecular masses of all clusters in isolated starch (in-vitro) during plant growth process is discussed. In particular for potato tubers’ growth, there was observed a correlation between water cluster development and average molecular masses of amylopectin super coils. The com-munication of plants with each other and with surroundings proceeds by resonance field of oscillating water clusters. Planet gravitation was found to influence the water cluster structure in plants.

Adventive regenerants of Populus × berolinensis Dipp. were obtained on 1/2 MS salts with sucrose, vitamins, BA, TDZ and NAA using stem, petiole and leaf explants. They differed from each other in plantlet dimensions. More than 50 clones were produced from initial regenerants by excision and rooting of apexes and lateral shoots. Differences in stem length and thickness were observed between 200 field plants produced from in vitro plantlets. Differences in stem length were conditioned mainly due to different number of internodes and not by internodes’ lengths. Plants grown from cuttings excised from highest and smallest plants retained the abilities of mother plants to grow with different rates. It is concluded that somaclonal variability can be used for selection of fast growing poplar plants which are necessary for industrial plantations. These plants can be used for this purpose without the limitations existing for transgenic plants.
