The use of the optoelectronic properties of noble metal nanoparticles has given a new dimension to the realm of cancer diagnosis and therapy(theranostics).The multifunctional catalytic properties and surface plasmon resonance of noble metal nanoparticles(NPs)along with their facile surface chemistry gives them an edge in the field of biology,including for immunotherapeutic *** a previous study,we reported the anticancer efficacy of silver NPs coated with murine serum albumin against fibrosarcoma in an in vivo mouse model,highlighting their role in eliciting oxystress and immune *** addition to addressing the bioavailability and toxicity parameters,our study reported that there was a significant reduction in the size,as well as a delay in the incidence of tumors with AgNP-MSA *** electron micrographs revealed AgNP-MSA uptake by sentinel immune cells associated with the tumor along with the downregulation of pro-tumorigenic inflammatory cytokines,such as TNF-α,IL-6 and IL-1β.

The use of nanotechnology in nanoparticle-based cancer therapeutics is gaining impetus due to the unique biophysical properties of nanoparticles at the quantum level. Silver nanoparticles （AgNPs） have been reported as one type of potent therapeutic nanoparticles. The present study is aimed to determine the effect of AgNPs in arresting the growth of a murine fibrosarcoma by a reductive mechanism. Initially, a bioavailability study showed that mouse serum albumin （MSA）-coated AgNPs have enhanced uptake; therefore, toxicity studies of AgNP-MSA at 10 different doses （1-10 mg/kg b.w.） were performed in LACA mice by measuring the complete blood count, lipid profile and histological parameters. The complete blood count, lipid profile and histological parameter results showed that the doses from 2 to 8 mg （IC50： 6.15 mg/kg b.w.） sequentially increased the count of leukocytes, lymphocytes and granulocytes, whereas the 9- and 10-mg doses showed conclusive toxicity. In an antitumor study, the incidence and size of fibrosarcoma were reduced or delayed when murine fibrosarcoma groups were treated by AgNP-MSA. Transmission electron micrographs showed that considerable uptake of AgNP-MSA by the sentinel immune cells associated with tumor tissue and a morphologically buckled structure of the immune cells containing AgNP-MSA. Because the toxicity studies revealed a relationship between AgNPs and immune function, the protumorigenic cytokines TNF-α, IL-6 and IL-1β were also assayed in AgNP-MSA-treated and non-treated fibrosarcoma groups, and these cytokines were found to be downregulated after treatment with AgNP-MSA.

Objective:To evaluate the hepatoprotective and immunotherapeutic effects of aqueous extract of turmeric rhizome in CCl_4 intoxicated Swiss albino ***:first group of mice(n=5) received CCl_4 treatment at a dose of 0.5 mL/kg bw(i.p.) for 7 *** group was fed orally the aqueous extract of turmeric at a dose of 50 mg/kg bw for IS *** third group was given both the turmeric extract(for 15 days,orally) and CCl_4(for last 7 days,i.p.).The fourth group was kept as a *** study the liver function,the transaminase enzymes(SGOT and SGPT) and bilirubin level were measured in the serum of respective *** assaying the immunotherapeutic action of Curcuma longa(***),non specific host response parameters like morphological alteration,phagocytosis,nitric oxide release,myeloperoxidase release and intracellular killing capacity of peritoneal macrophages were studied from the respective ***:The result of present study suggested that CCl_4 administration increased the level of SCOT and SGPT and bilirubin level in ***,the aqueous extract of turmeric reduced the level of SGOT, SCFT and bilirubin in CCl_4 intoxicated *** from damaging the liver system,CCl_4 also reduced non specific host response parameters like morphological alteration,phagocytosis, nitric oxide release,myeloperoxidase release and intracellular killing capacity of peritoneal *** of aqueous extract of *** offered significant protection from these damaging actions of CCl_4 on the non specific host response in the peritoneal macrophages of CCl_4 intoxicated ***:In conclusion,the present study suggests that *** has immunotherapeutic properties along with its ability to ameliorate hepatotoxicity.

In this study,guar gum(GG)was chemically modified to its carboxymethyl derivative,which was then esterified with octenyl succinic anhydride(OSA)using a nucleophilic catalyst 4-dimethylaminopyridine(DMAP)to render the derivative amphiphilic *** carboxymethyl guar gum(CMGG)and succinoylated CMGG was characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)*** amphiphilic CMGG synthesized using DMAP/OSA ratio of 0.5:1(CMGGOSA-I),was found to be *** amphiphilic guar gum self-assembled in water to form nanocarriers with mean diameter of 430 nm and zeta potential of19.0 *** electron microscope(TEM)image showed spherical nature of the developed CMGGOSA-I nano*** presence of amphiphilic CMGG,the aqueous solubility of glimepiride was enhanced by about *** nanocarriers released glimepiride in simulated gastrointestinal fluids for a period of more than 24 h,following Higuchi's ***-Peppas modeling of the drug release data revealed that a combination of swelling and diffusion mechanism was operative in the event of drug *** streptozotocin-induced diabetic rat model,the nanocarriers outperformed pure drug suspensions in terms of anti-diabetic activity,which lasted up to 24 ***;the newly synthesized amphiphilic CMGG nanocarriers demonstrated controlled drug release properties and showed promise for controlling type-2 diabetes.

We study the evolution of the configuration entropy of HI distribution in the post-reionization era assuming different time evolution of HI *** describe time evolution of linear bias of HI distribution using a simple form b(a)=b_(0)a^(n) with different index *** derivative of the configuration entropy rate is known to exhibit a peak at the scale factor corresponding to theΛ-matter equality in the unbiasedΛCDM *** show that in theΛCDM model with time-dependent linear bias,the peak shifts to smaller scale factors for negative values of *** is related to the fact that the growth of structures in the HI density field can significantly slow down even before the onset ofΛdomination in the presence of a strong time evolution of the HI *** find that the shift is linearly related to the index *** obtain the best fit relation between these two parameters and propose that identifying the location of this peak from observations would allow us to constrain the time evolution of HI bias within the framework of theΛCDM model.

The nonlinear features of two-dimensional ion acoustic(IA) solitary and shock structures in a dissipative electron-positron-ion(EPI) quantum plasma are investigated. The dissipation in the system is taken into account by incorporating the kinematic viscosity of ions in plasmas. A quantum hydrodynamic(QHD) model is used to describe the quantum plasma system. The propagation of small but finite amplitude solitons and shocks is governed by the Kadomtsev-Petviashvili-Burger(KPB) equation. It is observed that depending on the values of plasma parameters(*** diffraction, positron concentration, viscosity), both compressive and rarefactive solitons and shocks are found to exist. Furthermore, the energy of the soliton is computed and possible solutions of the KPB equation are presented numerically in terms of the monotonic and oscillatory shock profiles
