2004—07—13～2004—08—23使用TDMPS-APS系统在线测量颗粒物的数浓度谱分布，并于07—16～07—18选取了高温闷热夜晚、日间高温高湿和雨后晴朗干洁3种天气条件，使用多级串联撞击式采样器（MOUDI）测量颗粒物的质量浓度谱分布，结果表明，高温高湿天气条件下颗粒物的污染、尤其细粒子污染严重，导致很低的能见度（2．5km）；PM1．8和PM10的质量浓度分别为170．68μg／m^3和249．35μg／m^3，细粒子质量浓度占PM10的68％；粒径为50～100nm颗粒物的数浓度最高，为2×10^4～3×10^4个／cm^3；降雨过程对粗粒子和细粒子均有去除作用，对细粒子的去除作用尤为明显；降雨后PM10和PM1．8浓度分别比降雨前降低3倍和6倍；降雨过后的晴朗干洁天气有利于新粒子（3～20nm）的生成，生成的新粒子快速长大到50～100nm；随着污染物的累积，以后几天内又变为污染天气．

Prostate cancer and its treatment have long-term implications for men’s lives. We aimed to describe the content, extent, and frequency of written comments to the open-ended question, “Further comments?” in the patient-reported outcome measures questionnaire. During the study period, 897 men participated;372 wrote 747 free-text comments in the questionnaire. These comments were analysed using qualitative content analysis and were grouped into four categories: 1) prostate cancer’s influence on health;2) clarifications of answers to the survey;3) descriptions of well-being despite the cancer;and 4) experiences of care and the need for contact with health care. The distribution of the comments shifted over time. The open-ended question not only allowed the participants to explain their other responses and describe important aspects of their lives during and after treatment, something not normally covered by a questionnaire, but it also indicated their experiences of health care services along the patients’ PC-trajectory. This further raises the issue of including an open-ended item in a forced-choice survey into the ethical realm to ensure that proper care is taken of participants’ answers and thoughts.

Different programming languages can be used for discrete, abstract and process-oriented programming. Depending on the application, there exist additional requirements, which are not fulfilled by every programming language. Flexible programming and maintainability are especially important requirements for process engineers. In this paper, the programming languages Activity Diagram, State Chart Diagram and Sequential Function Chart are compared and evaluated with regard to these requirements. This evaluation is based on the principles of cognitive effectiveness and cognitive dimensions. The aim of this paper is to identify the programming language suited best for controlling sequential processes, e.g. thermomechanical or batch processes.

The palatal radicular groove represents a developmental anomaly that mainly affects the maxillary incisor teeth. This anomaly is probably caused by an infolding of the enamel organ and Hertwig′s epithelial root sheath during odontogenesis. The groove often originates in the central fossa or cingulum and continues towards the root apex for various distances. The anatomical defect can act as a funnel for plaque and, therefore, result in extensive bone and attachment loss. A complete lack of closure of the calcified tissues along the groove, that is a direct communication between pulp and periodontium, rarely occurs. However, accessory canals between the pulp cavity and periodontal tissues frequently exist along the groove and are main entrances of infectious material into the pulp cavity, facilitating the development of endodontic lesions. Grooves can also complicate restorative therapy or interfere with the accessibility for scaling and root planing. Patients usually present with pain and gingival inflammation in the maxillary incisor region. Bleeding on probing and increased pocket depths are strictly confined to the area of the groove in an otherwise periodontally healthy patient. Radiographs may show a parapulpal line that represents the radiographic image of the groove. Treatment of the anomaly by scaling and root planing alone or in combination with procedures such as odontoplasty, flap surgery, application of an enamel matrix derivative or guided tissue regeneration can be successful. A short case report of a patient treated successfully with an enamel matrix derivative for localized attachment loss due to this anomaly is presented.

Controls on Gosaikunda Lake Chemistry within Langtang National Park in High Himalaya, Nepal

Surface water samples and lake bed sediments were collected and analyzed from Gosaikunda Lake within Langtang National Park (28°05'N, 85°25'E;4380 m a.s.l.) in the central Himalayan region of Nepal during fall 2011. The major cations and anions in equivalents were present in the following order: ?and , respectively. Sulfide oxidation coupled with carbonate dissolution and aluminosilicate dissolution appeared to be the dominant geochemical processes determining lake water dissolved ions. Sulfate concentration was much higher than the alkalinity which is in contrast to glacier meltwater within the same landscape. Alkalinity primarily as bicarbonate contributes 88.6% to the total dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC) followed by carbon dioxide (CO2) and carbonate (CO3) in surface water samples. Organic carbon contributes 0.3% to 5.4% to the sediments and the organic matter is predominantly of aquatic origin. The lake is under saturated with carbon dioxide and the average partial pressure of carbon dioxide (pCO2) appeared quite low (43.4 μatm). Overall, natural biogeochemical processes regulate the chemical species within the lake ecosystem. The lake is oligotrophic, however, nutrients and dissolved organic carbon (DOC) concentrations are enhanced at the near shore sites close to the tracking trail.

Numerical Optimization of Pressure Force from Multiple Jets Impinging on a Moving Curved Surface for Industrial Drying Machines

Jet force on the surface is typical for impinging jets towards the surface and it is very important in drying applications for force-sensitive surfaces. The designer should optimize the design parameters of industrial drying equipment to achieve minimum pressure force between multiple jets and a moving curved surface. SST k-ω turbulence model is used to simulate a real geometry for industrial drying applications. The SST k-ω turbulence model succeeded with reasonable accuracy in reproducing the experimental results. The jet to surface distance, jet to jet spacing, jet inlet velocity, jet angle, and surface velocity are chosen as the design parameters. For the optimization of the impinging round jet, the pressure force coefficient on the moving curved surface is set as the objective function to be minimized. The SHERPA search algorithm is used to search for the optimal point from the weighted sum of all objectives method. One correlation is developed and validated for the pressure force coefficient. It is found that the pressure force coefficient is highly dependent on the nozzle to surface distance and jet angle but relatively insensitive to jet inlet velocity, jet to jet spacing, and surface velocity. The minimum pressure force coefficient correlates with a high value of nozzle to surface distance (tenfold diameter in this analysis) and a low value of the jet angle (40? in this analysis). The agreement in the prediction of the pressure force coefficient between the numerical simulation and developed correlation is found to be reasonable and all the data points deviate from the correlation approximately 8% on average.
