Steering S-scheme charge transfer via interfacial dipoles induced by amine-containing polyelectrolytes

The lack of a robust interfacial driving source over multicomponent photocatalysts is an essential contributor to the sluggish spatial charge transfer across the heterointerface and severe carrier recombination,thereby rendering maneuvering charge transfer of composite materials a thorny ***,we demonstrate an electric dipole moment-driven charge transfer photosystem utilizing amine-containing polyfluorene polyelectrolyte(i.e.,PFN)and inorganic semiconductor matrices(i.e.,WO_(3))as the building blocks to direct the interfacial charge transfer,effectively targeting the photoexcited charge carriers to the active *** results and theoretical simulations reveal that the electronic coupling interaction between the pendant electron-rich amine groups along the PFN backbone and WO_(3)surface enables the nonuniform charge distribution at the interface over the WO_(3)@PFN heterojunction,which ultimately fosters the formation of interfacial dipoles oriented from conjugated macromolecular backbone of PFN to the surface of WO_(3)*** interfacial dipoles with excellent charge transfer kinetics spontaneously activate the unidirectional and accelerated S-scheme charge motion from the WO_(3)framework to the conjugated chain of PFN due to the suitable band offsets at the interface,thus endowing WO_(3)@PFN heterostructures with a significantly enhanced net efficiency of *** findings would provide some insights into the design of advanced heterojunction photocatalysts for solar energy conversion as well as the study of the working mechanism of polyelectrolyte interlayers in optoelectronic devices.

Equilibrium of liquid-liquid extraction of 2-phenylbutyric acid enantiomers: Experiment and model

The utilization of liquid–liquid extraction for the separation of 2-phenylbutyric acid(2-PBA) enantiomers was proposed. Factors affecting the extract process were investigated, including organic solvents, β-cyclodextrin derivatives, cyclodextrin concentration, p H and temperature. A model was proposed to describe the separation process based on the homogeneous phase reaction mechanism. Important parameters of this model were determined experimentally. The physical distribution coefficients for molecular and ionic 2-PBA were0.129 and 7.455, respectively. The equilibrium constants of the complexation reactions were 89.36 and36.78 L·mol^(-1) for(+)-and(-)-2-PBA, respectively. The model was verified by experiments and proved to be an excellent means to optimize the separation system. Through modeling prediction and experiment, the best conditions(e.g., pH value of 3.00, extractant concentration of 0.1 mol·L^(-1), temperature of 5.0 °C) were acquired. Under this condition, the maximum enantioselectivity(2.096) was obtained.

Study on extraction kinetics ofα-cyclopentylmandelic acid enantiomers with hydroxyethyl-β-cyclodextrin as chiral selector

In this work,the kinetic study on reactive extraction ofα-cyclopentylmandelic acid(α-CPMA)enantiomers was performed in a Lewis cell using hydroxyethyl-β-cyclodextrin(HE-β-CD)as chiral *** enantioselective complexation equilibrium between HE-β-CD andα-CPMA enantiomers was studied by phase solubility *** important process parameters affecting the initial extraction rate were separately studied and the reaction rate equations were *** optimal conditions for kinetic study were as follows:stirring speed of 75 r·min^(-1),interfacial area of 12.56 cm^2,pH of 2.5,initial HE-β-CD concentration of 0.05 mol·L^(-1),initialα-CPMA concentration of 5 mmol·L^(-1),and temperature of 278 *** reaction has been found to be first order inα-CPMA and second order in HE-β-CD with the forward rate constants of 2.056×10^(-3)m^6·mol^(-2)·s^(-1)and 1.459×10^(-3)m^6·mol^(-2)·s^(-1)for(S)-α-CPMA and(R)-α-CPMA,*** complexation equilibrium constants were evaluated as 61 L·mol^(-1) and 117 L·mol^(-1)for(S)-α-CPMA and(R)-α-CPMA,and the intrinsic enantioselectivity is estimated as 1.92.

A Dual Yamabe Flow and Related Integral Flows

The author studies a family of nonlinear integral flows that involve Riesz potentials on Riemannian manifolds. In the Hardy-Littlewood-Sobolev (HLS for short)subcritical regime, he presents a precise blow-up profile exhibited by the flows. In the HLS critical regime, by introducing a dual Q curvature he demonstrates the concentrationcompactness phenomenon. If, in addition, the integral kernel matches with the Green’s function of a conformally invariant elliptic operator, this critical flow can be considered as a dual Yamabe flow. Convergence is then established on the unit spheres, which is also valid on certain locally conformally flat manifolds.

Recent Progress in Bionic Hydrogels for Articular Cartilage:Tribological and Mechanical Characteristics

Cartilage regeneration and repair are considered clinical challenges since cartilage has limited capability for *** tissue-engineered materials have the ability to repair cartilage,they have weak mechanical characteristics and cannot resist long-term *** the other hand,surgery to replace the joint is frequently done to treat significant cartilage deterioration these ***,the materials that are being used for replacement have high friction coefficients,lack shock absorption functions,and lack *** research on natural articular cartilage structure and function may lead to bionic hydrogels,which have suitable physicochemical and biological characteristics(e.g.,tribological and mechanical properties and the ability to support loadbearing capability),but need *** on their tribological and mechanical characteristics,the current review highlights the most recent advancements of bionic hydrogels used for articular cartilage,highlighting both the field's recent progress and its potential for future *** this reason,firstly,some important property improvement methods of bionic hydrogels are discussed and then,the recent findings of various research on the making of those bionic materials are provided and *** seems that by using some modifications such as product design,surface treatments,animal tests,controlling the isoelectric point of hydrogels,and computer simulation,the intended mechanical and tribological characteristics of natural articular cartilage may be attained by the bionic hydrogels.

Hole mobility enhancement in monolayer WSe2 p-type transistors through molecular doping

Two-dimensional （2D） transition metal dichalcogenide （TMDC） semiconductor materials exhibit extraordinary electrical properties,holding promise for the realization of next-generation complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor （CMOS） devices at ultimate ***,constrained by effective device doping strategies,the hole mobility and device performance of tungsten diselenide （WSe2） p-type transistors,especially monolayer chemical vapor deposition （CVD）-grown WSe2,have not met *** this paper,an effective performance enhancement of monolayer WSe2p-type transistor was achieved through a molecular doping *** monolayer WSe2directly on SiO2back-gated substrates and leveraging energy band alignment design,4-nitrobenzenediazonium tetrafluoroborate （4-NBD） molecular dopant with a concentration of 10 m M was utilized to modulate the Fermi level position of monolayer WSe2for hole *** devices demonstrated a more than 98%increase in hole mobility,reaching up to 97 cm2·V-1·s-1while maintaining the current on/off ratio of *** p-type WSe2transistors with 1μm channel length exhibit a high drive current surpassing 176μA·μm-1,exceeding previous CVD-WSe2devices with similar channel *** straightforward and effective approach to improving the electrical performance of WSe2transistors paves the way for advanced logic technologies based on transition metal dichalcogenide semiconductors.

Equivariant Chern Classes of Orientable Toric Origami Manifolds

A toric origami manifold,introduced by Cannas da Silva,Guillemin and Pires,is a generalization of a toric symplectic *** a toric symplectic manifold,its equivariant Chern classes can be described in terms of the corresponding Delzant polytope and the stabilization of its tangent bundle splits as a direct sum of complex line *** in general a toric origami manifold is not simply connected,so the algebraic topology of a toric origami manifold is more difficult than a toric symplectic *** this paper they give an explicit formula of the equivariant Chern classes of an oriented toric origami manifold in terms of the corresponding origami ***,they prove the stabilization of the tangent bundle of an oriented toric origami manifold also splits as a direct sum of complex line bundles.

A wide-linear-range and low-hysteresis resistive strain sensor made of double-threaded conductive yarn for human movement detection

Yarn-based flexible strain sensors with advantages in wearability and integrability have attracted wide ***,it is still a big challenge to achieve yarn-based strain sensors with a wide linear strain range,low hysteresis,and durability synchronously that can be used for full range detection of human body ***,a new structure,double-threaded conductive yarn with rhythmic strain distribu-tion,is reported to markedly widen the linear strain range of microcrack-based stretchable strain sensors.A new method of winding and thermally adhering hot-melt filaments on the surface of the elastic fiber is used to achieve double-threaded yarn(DTY)with rhythmic strain *** proposed strategy,the integration of heterogeneous materials,is reported to significantly reduce the mechanical hysteresis of composite *** strain distribution of the DTY during stretching causes multi-level micro-cracks in different regions of the carbon nanotube(CNT)conductive layer deposited on the surface of the ***,the sensing performance of DTY-based strain sensor can be adjusted by designing the structural *** final prepared flexible strain sensor has the advantages of a wide linear strain range(100%),great sensitivity(GF=12.43),low hysteresis,rapid response(158 ms),high repeatability(>2000 cycles at 50%strain),and hydrophobicity,*** sensor can monitor human motion repeatedly and stably well,and shows great advantages in flexible wearable devices.
