Heat wave mitigation of ecosystems in mountain areas-a case study of the Upper Yangtze River basin

Background:Natural ecosystems,such as forests and grasslands,can mitigate heat waves,but research on heat wave mitigation in mountain ecosystems is lacking.Considering the upper reaches of the Yangtze River basin(URYB)as the study area,we first divided the URYB into mountainous and non-mountainous areas based on a digital elevation model(DEM).Then,we used temperature to identify heat waves and used the temperature and humidity index to identify suitable days.Finally,the differences between mountainous and non-mountainous areas were compared,and regional development strategies are proposed.Result:(1)The frequency and duration of heat waves increased by 0.433/y(P<0.1),0.07/y(P<0.05),while the number of suitable days in June,July,and August gradually decreased slightly by 0.0096/y(P<0.1),0.0125/y(P<0.1),0.004/y(P<0.1),respectively from 1986 to 2015.(2)The average monthly number of suitable days was the highest in mountainous areas during the summer from 1986 to 2015.Mountainous areas have an advantage in mitigating heat waves owing to landform-based changes in the local climate.(3)In addition to the landform,altitude was the main factor responsible for mitigating heat waves in mountainous areas.Conclusion:Parts of the plateau and whole mountain areas were found to be best for avoiding extremely high temperatures based on the number of suitable summer days from 1986 to 2015.We suggest formulating tourism promotion strategies,and strengthening tourism infrastructure,considering landscape protection and creation to promote sustainable regional development.

推动经济高质量发展是党的十九大提出的新战略新思路,而信息经济已成为经济增长的新引擎,特别是互联网+制造被认为是工业高质量发展的关键内容。本文利用浙江省2014—2016年县域短面板数据,采用多种计量方法对信息经济是否促进了工业高质量发展这个问题进行了验证。研究表明,信息经济对工业高质量发展具有显著的促进作用,其中信息个人应用和信息企业应用对工业高质量发展的影响显著,而核心产业信息化和信息基础设施对工业高质量发展的影响不显著。进一步的实证研究发现,信息经济对工业两化融合具有显著影响,但是质量效益、自主创新、结构调整和绿色发展效果不太明显。通过莫兰指数等检验发现存在一定的空间相关性,进一步使用空间杜宾模型进行估计后,信息经济对工业高质量发展具有显著影响这一结论依然稳健。

A Network Decomposition Model for Rubber-Like Materials Considering Topological Constraints

A molecular network constitutive model is proposed in this study.Based on the concept of molecular network decomposition,the molecular network was decomposed into a James-Guth 3-chain network model and an Arruda-Boyce 8-chain network model.Considering that the single molecular chain of rubber is constrained by the surrounding molecular networks, the 3-chain model and the 8-chain model were consequently modified using the tube theory.The proposed model contains four material parameters that were determined by fitting the uniaxial tensile test data from rubber-like materials,and the values of these parameters were utilized to determine the pure shear and the biaxial extension.The proposed model agrees well with the experimental data and can predict the test results of experiments performed under the conditions of pure shear and equi-biaxial deformation with acceptable accuracy.

Reconstruction of large complex sand-wave bathymetry with adaptive partitioning combining satellite imagery and sparse multi-beam data

Shallow marine sand waves are formed on the seabed and are widely distributed within tidal environments.However,the use of multibeam echo sounding(MBES)is costly to obtain the bathymetric mapping of large complex sand waves.Therefore,we propose a new method that employs a combination of multiangle sun glint images and sparse MBES data to achieve comprehensive bathymetric mapping of large and complex sand waves.This method involves estimating sea surface roughness,automatically extracting sand-wave crests,conducting adaptive subregion partitioning,estimating the water depth at auxiliary points,and generating digital bathymetric models.The method was employed in a case study of sand waves on the Taiwan Bank.Bathymetric mapping was implemented for large complex sand waves over an area spanning approximately 350 km~2 using multiangle sun glint images from the Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer and MBE S data.The results show that mapped and measured water depths were well-matched;the root-mean-square error of water depths was 1.77 m,and the relative error was 5.03%.These findings show that bathymetric mapping of large complex sand waves can be effectively conducted using the new method,and as such,the workload of MBES is reduced and efficiency is improved.

Impact angle constrained fuzzy adaptive fault tolerant IGC method for Ski-to-Turn missiles with unsteady aerodynamics and multiple disturbances

An impact angle constrained fuzzy adaptive fault tolerant integrated guidance and control method for Ski-to-Turn(STT)missiles subject to unsteady aerodynamics and multiple disturbances is proposed.Unsteady aerodynamics appears when flight vehicles are in a transonic state or confronted with unstable airflow.Meanwhile,actuator failures and multisource model uncertainties are introduced.However,the boundaries of these multisource uncertainties are assumed unknown.The target is assumed to execute high maneuver movement which is unknown to the missile.furthermore,impact angle constraint puts forward higher requirements for the interception accuracy of the integrated guidance and control(IGC)method.The impact angle constraint and the precise interception are established as the object of the IGC method.Then,the boundaries of the lumped disturbances are estimated,and several fuzzy logic systems are introduced to compensate the unknown nonlinearities and uncertainties.Next,a series of adaptive laws are developed so that the undesirable effects arising from unsteady aerodynamics,actuator failures and unknown uncertainties could be suppressed.Consequently,an impact angle constrained fuzzy adaptive fault tolerant IGC method with three loops is constructed and a perfect hit-to-kill interception with specified impact angle can be implemented.Eventually,the numerical simulations are conducted to verify the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed method.

High-throughput site-specific N-glycoproteomics reveals glyco-signatures for liver disease diagnosis

The glycoproteome has emerged as a prominent target for screening biomarkers,as altered glycosylation is a hallmark of cancer cells.In this work,we incorporated tandem mass tag labeling into quantitative glycoproteomics by developing a chemical labeling-assisted complementary dissociation method for the multiplexed analysis of intact N-glycopeptides.Benefiting from the complementary nature of two different mass spectrometry dissociation methods for identification and multiplex labeling for quantification of intact N-glycopeptides,we conducted the most comprehensive site-specific and subclass-specific N-glycosylation profiling of human serum immunoglobulin G(IgG) to date.By analysing the serum of 90 human patients with varying severities of liver diseases,as well as healthy controls,we identified that the combination of IgG1-H3N5F1 and IgG4-H4N3 can be used for distinguishing between different stages of liver diseases.Finally,we used targeted parallel reaction monitoring to successfully validate the expression changes of glycosylation in liver diseases in a different sample cohort that included 45 serum samples.

Power supply arm protection scheme of high-speed railway based on wide-area current differential

When fault occurs on cross-coupling autotransformer(AT)power supply traction network,the up-line and down-line feeder circuit breakers in the traction substation trip at the same time without selectivity,which leads to an extended power failure.Based on equivalent circuit and Kirchhoff’s current law,the feeder current characteristic in the substation,AT station and sectioning post when T-R fault,F-R fault,and T-F fault occur are analyzed and their expressions are obtained.When the traction power supply system is equipped with wide-area protection measurement and control system,the feeder protection device in each station collects the feeder currents in other two stations through the wide-area protection channel and a wide-area current differential protection scheme based on the feeder current characteristic is proposed.When a short-circuit fault occurs in the power supply arm,all the feeder protection devices in each station receive the feeder currents with time stamp in other two stations.After data synchronous processing and logic judgment,the fault line of the power supply arm can be identified and isolated quickly.The simulation result based on MATLAB/Simulink shows that the power supply arm protection scheme based on wide-area current differential has good fault discrimination ability under different fault positions,transition resistances,and fault types.The verification of measured data shows that the novel protection scheme will not be affected by the special working conditions of the electrical multiple unit(EMU),and reliability,selectivity,and rapidity of relay protection are all improved.

Improved fault location method for AT traction power network based on EMU load test

The autotransformer(AT)neutral current ratio method is widely used for fault location in the AT traction power network.With the development of high-speed electrified railways,a large number of data show that the relation between the AT neutral current ratio and the distance from the beginning of the fault AT section to the fault point(Q-L relation)is mostly nonlinear.Therefore,the linear Q-L relation in the traditional fault location method always leads to large errors.To solve this problem,a large number of load-related current data that can be used to describe the Q-L relation are obtained through the load test of the electric multiple unit(EMU).Thus,an improved fault location method based on the back propagation(BP)neural network is proposed in this paper.On this basis,a comparison between the improved method and the traditional method shows that the maximum absolute error and the average absolute error of the improved method are 0.651 km and 0.334 km lower than those of the traditional method,respectively,which demonstrates that the improved method can effectively eliminate the influence of nonlinear factors and greatly improve the accuracy of fault location for the AT traction power network.Finally,combined with a shortcircuit test,the accuracy of the improved method is verified.

Path planning of the fruit tree pruning manipulator based on improved RRT-Connect algorithm

Aiming to realize the obstacle avoidance of the fruit tree pruning manipulator in unstructured complex natural environment,an improved bidirectional fast extended random tree(RRT-Connect)algorithm was presented in this study.The manipulator and obstacles were properly simplified based on their geometrical characteristics to build collision detection models taking account of the obstacles,ground,and manipulator itself and to carry out the obstacle avoidance path planning.Goal-biased strategy and adaptive step size adjustment principle were introduced to accelerate the path search speed.Bidirectional pruning optimal strategy and cubic non-uniform B-spline interpolation method were adopted to optimize the path generated by RRT-Connect.The simulation path planning experiment was carried out in the simulation system of the fruit tree pruning manipulator and the practical obstacle avoidance path planning experiment was carried out on the real fruit tree pruning manipulator path planning experiment platform.The results showed that the path planning time and the path length of the improved RRT-Connect algorithm reduced by about 55%and 60%respectively compared with the basic RRT-Connect algorithm.The path planning success rate of the improved RRT-Connect algorithm was 100%,and the planned path was smooth,continual and executable,which could effectively guide the manipulator to avoid obstacles and lead the end effector of the manipulator to the goal point.The proposed improved algorithm not only has certain application value for obstacle avoidance of the fruit tree pruning manipulator in fruit tree pruning environment,but also has theoretical reference value for path planning of other types of robots.

Monitoring the change in horizontal stress with multi-wave time-lapse seismic response based on nonlinear elasticity theory

Monitoring the change in horizontal stress from the geophysical data is a tough challenge, and it has a crucial impact on broad practical scenarios which involve reservoir exploration and development, carbon dioxide (CO_(2)) injection and storage, shallow surface prospecting and deep-earth structure description. The change in in-situ stress induced by hydrocarbon production and localized tectonic movements causes the changes in rock mechanic properties (e.g. wave velocities, density and anisotropy) and further causes the changes in seismic amplitudes, phases and travel times. In this study, the nonlinear elasticity theory that regards the rock skeleton (solid phase) and pore fluid as an effective whole is used to characterize the effect of horizontal principal stress on rock overall elastic properties and the stress-dependent anisotropy parameters are therefore formulated. Then the approximate P-wave, SV-wave and SH-wave angle-dependent reflection coefficient equations for the horizontal-stress-induced anisotropic media are proposed. It is shown that, on the different reflectors, the stress-induced relative changes in reflectivities (i.e., relative difference) of elastic parameters (i.e., P- and S-wave velocities and density) are much less than the changes in contrasts of anisotropy parameters. Therefore, the effects of stress change on the reflectivities of three elastic parameters are reasonably neglected to further propose an AVO inversion approach incorporating P-, SH- and SV-wave information to estimate the change in horizontal principal stress from the corresponding time-lapse seismic data. Compared with the existing methods, our method eliminates the need for man-made rock-physical or fitting parameters, providing more stable predictive power. 1D test illustrates that the estimated result from time-lapse P-wave reflection data shows the most reasonable agreement with the real model, while the estimated result from SH-wave reflection data shows the largest bias. 2D test illustrates the feasibility of the pr
