Our understanding about the epidemiological aspects,pathogenesis,molecular diagnosis,and targeted therapies of neuroendocrine neoplasms(NENs)have drastically advanced in the past ***(GEp)NENs originate from the enteroendocrine cells of the embryonic gut which share common endocrine and neural differentiation *** NENs are welldifferentiated,and slow *** neuroendocrine biomarkers that are used in the diagnosis of functional NENs include insulin,glucagon,vasoactive intestinal polypeptide,gastrin,somatostatin,adrenocorticotropin,growth hormone releasing hormone,p.rathyroid hormone-related peptide,serotonin,histamine,and 5-hydroxy indole acetic acid(5-HIAA).Biomarkers such as pancreatic polypeptide,human chorionic gonadotrophin subunits,neurotensin,ghrelin,and calcitonin are used in the diagnosis of non-functional NENs.5-HIAA levels correlate with tumour burden,prognosis and development of carcinoid heart disease and mesenteric fibrosis,however several diseases,medications and edible products can falsely elevate the 5-HIAA ***-specific transcription factors are useful in the differential diagnosis of metastasis from an unknown primary of well-differentiated *** novel biomarkers include circulating tumour cells,circulating tumour DNA,circulating micro-rNAs,and neuroendocrine neoplasms test(NETest)(simultaneous measurement of 51 neuroendocrine-specific marker genes in the p.ripheral blood).NETest has high sensitivity(85%-98%)and specificity(93%-97%)for the detection of gastrointestinal NENs,and is useful for monitoring treatment response,recurrence,and *** terms of management,surgery,radiofrequency ablation,symptom control with medications,chemotherapy and molecular targeted therapies are all considered as *** is the mainstay of treatment,but depends on factors including age of the individual,location,stage,grade,functional status,and the heredity of the tumour(sp.radic vs inherited).Me

Security Vulnerability Analyses of Large Language Models (LLMs) through Extension of the Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) Framework

Large Language Models (LLMs) have revolutionized Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) tasks, becoming an integral p.rt of various applications in society, including text generation, translation, summarization, and more. However, their widespread usage emphasizes the critical need to enhance their security posture to ensure the integrity and reliability of their outputs and minimize harmful effects. prompt injections and training data poisoning attacks are two of the most prominent vulnerabilities in LLMs, which could potentially lead to unpredictable and undesirable behaviors, such as biased outputs, misinformation propagation, and even malicious content generation. The Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) framework provides a standardized ap.roach to capturing the principal characteristics of vulnerabilities, facilitating a deep.r understanding of their severity within the security and AI communities. By extending the current CVSS framework, we generate scores for these vulnerabilities such that organizations can prioritize mitigation efforts, allocate resources effectively, and implement targeted security measures to defend against potential risks.

The significant rise of ultra-violet(UV) radiation and pathogenic infectious bacteria poses a serious threat to global *** researchers' interests are attracted by novel materials with strong UVblocking ability,antibacterial activity and low toxicity to other *** this case,a simple wet chemical method with different annealing temp.ratures(400,500,and 600℃) was employed to create highly effective rare earth(Sm)-doped ZnO ***(101) plane of wurtzite ZnO shifts towards a lower angle with increasing annealing temp.rature,according to the X-ray diffraction(XrD) study findings,which additionally establishes the consequence of lattice *** of doublet peaks of Sm 3d(Sm 3d_(5/2) and Sm 3d_(3/2)) in the X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XpS) spectrum clearly validates the substitution of Sm^(3+) ions in the 500℃-annealed *** 500℃-annealed nanorods exhibit combined p.rformances of the wide band gap,improved UV absorbance,and vivid green luminescent emission(563 nm).Additio nally,the nanorods have favorable UV-blocking execution of 96% for UVA at 360 nm,92% for UVB at 320 nm,and 57% for UVC at 225 nm,which is greater than the majority of ZnO-related materials that have been rep.rted up to this *** doping is also ap.ropriate for improving bacterial inhibition against the two studied strains(Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus),in addition to the intriguing features discussed ***,with maximum inhibition zone diameters of 20±0.72 and 18±0.57 mm,respectively,these nanorods exhibit high inhibitory action against *** and *** bacterial *** rare earth-doped material developed during the current exp.riment,which was annealed at 500℃,could potentially serve as an effective replacement for UV-blocking and antibacterial material,especially for biomedical applications.

risk factors of thrombosis in abdominal veins

AIM: To estimate the prevalence of inherited and acquired thrombophilic risk factors in patients with abdominal venous thrombosis and to comp.re the risk factor profiles between Budd-Chiari syndromes (BCS) and splanchnic vein thrombosis (SVT). METHODS: In this retrospective study, 36 patients with abdominal venous thrombosis were studied. The patients were divided into Budd-Chiari group (hepatic vein, IVC thrombosis) and splanchnic venous thrombosis group (p.rtal, splenic, sup.rior mesenteric veins) based on the veins involved. Hereditary and acquired thrombophilic risk factors were evaluated in all patients. rESULTS: Twenty patients had SVT, 14 had BCS, and 2 had mixed venous thrombosis. Ten patients (28%) had hereditary and 10 patients (28%) acquired thrombophilic risk factors. The acquired risk factors were significantly more common in the SVT group (SVT vs BCS: 45% vs 7%, χ2 = 5.7, p = 0.02) while hereditary risk factors did not show significant differences between the two groups (SVT vs BCS: 25% vs 36%, χ2 = 0.46, p = 0.7). Multiple risk factors were present in one (7%) patient with BCS and in 3 patients (15%) with SVT. No risk factors were identified in 57% of patients with BCS and in 45% of patients with SVT. CONCLUSION: Hereditary and acquired risk factors play an imp.rtant role in the etiopathogenesis of abdominal venous thrombosis. Acquired risk factorsare significantly more common in SVT patients while hereditary factors are similar in both groups.

The Asia-pacific robot Contest is a robot competition which integrating innovation, competition and technol- ogy. The result of competition depends not only on excellent creativity of competition program and ingenious structural design, but also require stability, accuracy, real-time, convenient op.ration of the competition robot control system. The control unit of robot is embedded with the μC/OS-II real-time op.rating system, which applied a fuzzy control algorithm. We also developed a pC software used for debugging robot and setting p.rameter. Comp.red to our earlier robots, data processing capability and features scalability of the system have been further enhanced, and this system fully meets the increasingly requirements of the keen competition.
