The sedimentary sequence containing lignite deposits in Gurha quarry of the Bikaner-Nagaur Basin(Rajasthan)has been *** samples from lignite and allied shale horizons were evaluated for petrographical,palynological,palynofacies and organic geochemical inferences,to depict the source flora and to reconstruct the palaeodepositional conditions prevailed during the *** assessment for the hydrocarbon generation potential of these deposits has also been *** results revealed the dominance of huminite macerals and phytoclasts organic matter(OM) indicating the existence of forested vegetation in the vicinity of the depositional site.A relatively high terrigenous/aquatic ratio(TAR) and the carbon preference index(CPI) are also suggesting the contribution of higher plants in the peat ***,the n-alkane distributions,maximizing at n-C17 and n-C29,showed inputs from the algal communities along with the higher plant derived organic *** palynomorphs of the families Onagraceae,Meliaceae,Arecaceae,Rhizophoraceae,Rubiaceae,Ctenolophonaceae, *** with oleanene and ursane types of triterpenoids suggest the contribution from angiosperms source ***,the presence of Araucareaceae and Podocarpaceae pollen grains shows the existence of gymnosperms ***,the presence of tetracyclic diterpanes;demethylated entbeyerane,sandaracopimarane,pimarane,and Kaurane type of compounds confirms the contribution of *** variation in the values of the coefficient of non-equality(H:0.68%-7.56%),the standard deviation(8:0.04%-0.16%) and the coefficient of variability(V:16.10%-46.47%),also shows the heterogeneity in the source organic *** various petrographical indices,palynological entities,and geochemical parameters indicate that the peatforming vegetation was accumulated under a mixed environment and fluctuating hydrological *** interpretation of palynofacies data on APP(Amorphous organ

Oxide ancillary ligand-based europium β-diketonate complexes and their enhanced luminosity

Ternary materials of europium complex with2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-3,5-heptanedione(tmhd) ligand and aqua ligand as ancillary ligands have been prepared and characterized for various optoelectronic *** of hydrated complex [Eu(tmhd)_(3)(H_(2)O)_(2)] proceeded with triphenylphosphine oxide(TPPO) and pyridine-N-oxide(PNO) ancillary ligands were studied to develop novel complexes. The prepared complexes show good thermal stability. A comparative investigation of preparedmaterials[Eu(tmhd)_(3)(H_(2)O)_(2)],[Eu(tmhd)_(3)(TPPO)_(2)] and [Eu(tmhd)_(3)(PNO)_(2)] was conducted for their luminescent behaviors in order to obtain the role of ancillary ligand in the enhancement of illumination amount generated from europium(Eu^(3+)) ion. Color coordinates of prepared ternary complexes such as[Eu(tmhd)_(3)(H_(2)O)_(2)]with(x = 0.54,y = 0.32),[Eu(tmhd)_(3)(TPPO)_(2)] with(x = 0.56, y = 0.32) and[Eu(tmhd)_(3)(PNO)_(2)] with(x = 0.57, y = 0.33) indicated that these materials exhibited bright red emission in visible region spectrum. The complexes show a proficient energy transport pathway from the ligands to the innermost Eu^(3+)by means of an ancillary ligand-sensitized luminescence process. Interaction between the metal and ligand results in a distinguished effect on quantum efficiency(η) as well as on Judd–Ofelt intensity factor(Ω_(2)) of the prepared materials.

Spinal cord compression secondary to bone metastases from hepatocellular carcinoma

Bone metastases are rare in primary hepatocellular carcinoma （HCC）. Spinal cord compression （SCC） due to bone metastases occur commonly in patients with lung and breast carcinomas, and metastatic HCC is an unusual cause of SCC. Spinal cord compression is an oncologic emergency and treatment delays can lead to irreversible consequences. Thus, the awareness that SCC could be a potential complication of bone metastases due to HCC is of significance in initiation of early treatment that can improve the quality of life and survival of the patients, if diagnosed earlier. This paper describes four cases of primary HCC with varied manifestations of SCC due to bone metastases. The first patient presented primarily with the symptoms of bone pains corresponding to the bone metastases sites rather than symptoms of associated hepatic pathology and eventually developed SCC. The second patient, diagnosed as having HCC, developed extradural SCC leading to paraplegia during the course of illness, for which he underwent emergency laminectomy with posterior fixation. The third patient developed SCC soon after the primary diagnosis and had to undergo emergency laminectomy. Post laminectomy he had good neurological recovery. The Fourth patient presented primarily with radicular pains rather than frank paraplegia as the first manifestation of SCC.

Validation of Vesical Imaging Reporting and Data System score for the diagnosis of muscle-invasive bladder cancer: A prospective cross-sectional study

Objective:Vesical Imaging Reporting and Data System(VIRADS)score was developed to standardize the reporting and staging of bladder tumors on pre-operative multiparametric magnetic resonance *** helps in avoiding unnecessary repeat transurethral resection of bladder tumor in high-risk non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer *** study was done to determine the validity of VIRADS score prospectively for the diagnosis of muscleinvasive bladder ***:This study was conducted from March 2019 to March 2020 at Sawai Man Singh Medical College and Hospital,Jaipur,Rajasthan,*** admitted with the provisional diagnosis of bladder tumor were included as *** these patients underwent a 3 Tesla mpMRI to obtain a VIRADS score before they underwent transurethral resection of bladder tumor and these data were analyzed to evaluate the correlation of pre-operative VIRADS score with mus-cle invasiveness of the tumor in final biopsy ***:A cut-off of VIRADS≥4 for prediction of detrusor muscle invasion yielded a sensitivity of 79.4%,specificity of 94.2%,positive predictive value of 90.0%,negative predictive value of 87.5%,and diagnostic accuracy of 86.4%.A cut off of VIRADS≥3 for prediction of detrusor muscle invasion yielded a sensitivity of 91.2%,specificity of 78.8%,positive predictive value of 73.8%,negative predictive value of 93.2%,and accuracy of 83.7%.The receiver operating curve showed the area under the curve to be 0.922(95%confidence interval:0.862e0.983).Conclusion:VIRADS score appears to be an excellent and effective pre-operative radiological tool for the prediction of detrusor muscle invasion in bladder cancer.

Effect of Cadmium Substitution on Structural and Magnetic Properties of Nano Sized Nickel Ferrite

The structure and crystal phase of the nanocrystalline powders of Ni1-xCdxFe2O4（0≤x≤0.5） mixed ferrite, synthesized by wet chemical co-precipitation method, were characterized by X-ray diffraction. Results showed that the lattice parameter increased with increasing Cd concentration. Microstructure was studied by scanning electron microscopy. TG/DTA studies were carried out on co-precipitated sulphate complexes. These studies revealed the low ferritization temperature （650 ℃） of the ferrite system synthesized by presently adopted route of synthesis and occurrence of simultaneous decomposition and ferritization processes. Further studies by infrared spectroscopy were also conducted. Moreover, magnetic properties of the prepared nanoparticles were studied by magnetization and a.c. susceptibility measurements. The response of prepared Ni1-xCdxFe2O4 mixed ferrites to magnetic field was investigated. Results show that, magnetic susceptibility, Curie temperature, and effective magnetic moment decreased as the Cd content increases.

Breast carcinoma with metastasis to the gallbladder:an unusual case report with a short review of literature

Gallbladder metastases are very rare and usually arise from malignant melanoma, renal cell carcinoma and cervical carcinoma. Breast carcinoma tnetastatic to the gallbladder is extremely rare and only 4 cases have been reported in the English literature. We hereby report a 54-year-old lady who was diagnosed as having breast carcinoma and underwent modified radical mastectomy. One month after the operation, she developed acute abdomenal pain and underwent cholecystectomy after clinical investigation. Histopathological examination revealed metastasis to the gallbladder. Being considered a patient with tnetastatic breast carcinoma she was subjected to taxane and anthracycline-based palliative chemotherapy. Later she had CNS involvement and died of the progressive disease soon after few months.

Studies on antibacterial screening of corm of Amorphophallus campanulatus (Roxb.)

Objective: To study the antibacterial screening of corm of Amorphophallus campanulatus (Roxb.) (A. campanulatus). Methods: Antibacterial activities of methanolic, petroleum ether and ethyl acetate extracts of corm of A. campanulatus were studied by agar diffusion technique to determine in vitro antibacterial activities. The antibacterial activity was measured with respect to the standard antibacterial drug. In addition, minimum inhibitory concentration was also determined by using serial dilution method to determine and evaluate antibacterial potency of test corm extracts of A. campanulatus. Results: The results showed significant antibacterial activities against four pathogenic bacteria. The minimum inhibitory concentration values against test bacteria were found to be remarkable range in bacteria like methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus at concentration 0.25 mg/well, in Pseudomonas aeruginosa at 0.5 mg/well concentration, in Vibrio cholerae was 2 mg/well, Streptococcus pyogenes at concentration of 0.5 mg/well and Proteus mirabilis was at concentration of 2 mg/well. Conclusions: The methanolic and petroleum ether extracts are capable to maximum inhibition of the tested pathogenic bacteria.

A Critical Deficit of OBGYN Surgeons in the U.S by 2030

Objective: To estimate the OB/GYN Surgical workforce needed in the U.S by 2030 to meet the needs of our population. Methods: Using a population based analysis, the net supply of OB/GYNs was calculated. Our assumptions included: a ratio of OB/GYN's to population of 27.10/100,000 women, practicing 25 years from Board Certification to retirement, 1200 graduates finishing from residency programs per year. Results: To maintain our current ratio per 100,000 population, we should have 50,135 OBGYN's practicing for a population of 364 million in 2030. We estimate the supply to be only 30,000 and hence a shortage of 20,135. To rectify the deficit 44,135 residents will require training in OBGYN with the cumulative cost exceeding $14 billion. Conclusions: 1) We estimate a 40% shortage of OB/GYN's as the best case scenario to meet the needs of the U.S population by 2030 if the current training paradigm stays constant. 2) The cumulative cost of training adequate numbers of OB/GYN’s is estimated at $14 billion and 3) In addition to revising the BBA of 1997 to permit more residents to be trained in the United States, additional strategies must be considered to provide an adequate workforce and ensure patient access to OBGYN's.
