As dipyranylidenes are excellent hole carriers, applications in organic solar cells or organic light emitting diode are envisaged. In the present study, we investigate the morphology of 2,2＇,6,6＇-tetraphenyl-4,4＇-dipyranylidene （dIPO-Ph4） deposited under vacuum on a silicon nitride （Si3N4） substrate, a paradigmatic system for the study of molecular crystal/inorganic substrate interfaces. Samples with various coating ratios and different thermal treatments were prepared. The films were characterized by atomic force microscopy and scanning transmission X-ray microscopy to gain insight into material growth. The results show a change in orientation at a molecular level depending upon the evaporation conditions. We are now able to tailor an organic layer with a specific molecular orientation and a specific electronic behavior.

Strawberry (Fragaria spp.) is one of the most important fruits classified as exotic fruits imported into Cameroon. To have an inventory of its cultivation in Cameroon, a survey study was carried out among eight farms of Fragaria spp. from January 2021 to February 2022. The plant was introduced in Cameroon in 2018. There are 13 varieties of Fragaria spp. currently cultivated. Among these 13 varieties, eleven are hybrids of Fragaria x ananassa (“Amiga”, “Amine”, “Camarosa”, “Chandler”, “Charlotte”, “Elsanta”, “Gariguette”, “Madame Moutot”, “Ostara”, “Ruby gem” and “San Andreas”), and two of the hybrids of Fragaria vesca (“Maestro” and “Mara des bois”). The cropping system, irrigation system, and type of fertilizers applied differ from one strawberry farm to another. Biofertilizers (such as mycorrhizal), inorganic and organic fertilizers are actually used to improve production. The potential annual production of strawberries from January 2021 to February 2022, estimated based on the survey data, was 21.216 tons for all growers. Among these eight production farms, the Lolodorf BIO Farm presents 6000 kg (six tons) of strawberries and 100,000 stolons (seedlings) produced, from seven varieties of Fragaria spp. cultivated, with 6 varieties which are hybrids variety Fragaria x ananassa (“Amiga”, “Amine”, “Chandler”, “Gariguette”, “Madame Moutot”, and “Ruby gem”), and one which is a hybrid of Fragaria vesca (“Mara des bois”). Certain diseases were also observed and recorded depending on the growing areas.

Previously, we established a model in which physiologically adequate function of the autologous β cells was recovered in non-obese diabetic （NOd） mice after the onset of hyperglycemia by rendering them hemopoietic chimera. These mice were termed antea-diabetic. In the current study, we addressed the role of T regulatory （Treg） cells in the mechanisms mediating the restoration of euglycemia in the antea-diabetic NOd model. The data generated in this study demonstrated that the numbers of Treg cells were decreased in unmanipulated NOd mice, with the most profound deficiency detected in the pancreatic lymph nodes （PLNs）. The impaired retention of the Treg cells in the PLNs correlated with the locally compromised profile of the chemokines involved in their trafficking, with the most prominent decrease observed in SdF-1. The amelioration of autoimmunity and restoration of euglycemia observed in the antea-diabetic mice was associated with restoration of the Treg cell population in the PLNs. These data indicate that the function of the SdF-1/CXCR4 axis and the retention of Treg cells in the PLNs have a potential role in diabetogenesis and in the amelioration of autoimmunity and β cell regeneration in the antea-diabetic model. We have demonstrated in the antea-diabetic mouse model that lifelong recovery of the β cells has a strong correlation with normalization of the Treg cell population in the PLNs. This finding offers new opportunities for testing the immunomodulatory regimens that promote accumulation of Treg cells in the PLNs as a therapeutic approach for type 1 diabetes （TId）.

A porous crosslinked organic polymer based on N-acryloxysuccinimide （NAS） and ethylene dimethacrylate （EdMA） was prepared inside 75 μm i.d. fused silica capillary as functionalizable monolithic stationary phase for electrochromatographic applications. Succinimide groups on the monolith surface provide reactive sites able to re- act readily through standard electrophile-nucleophile chemistry. Propargylamine was used to prepare alkyne func- tionalized poly（NAS-co-EdMA）. Onto this thiol-reactive polymer surface was grafted adamantane units via a photochemically-driven addition reaction. Chemical characterization was performed in situ after each synthetic step by means of Raman spectroscopy and grafting kinetics was investigated to ensure quantitative grafting of 1-adamantanethiol. The as-designed monolithic stationary phase exhibited typical reversed-phase separation mechanism as evidenced by the linear increase of the logarithm of retention factor of neutral aromatic solutes with the increase of the aqueous buffer content in the mobile phase.

In bio-inspired design activities, nature is a basis of knowledge. Over the last twenty years, many solutions to measure and analyze human or animal gaits have been developed （VICON system, X-ray radiography...）. Although, these methods are becoming more and more accurate, they are quite expensive, long to set up and not easily portable. In this paper, a method called the bio-inspired topological skeleton is proposed in order to complement the classic videography process and to enable animal gait analysis. A new predictive kinematic model with closed-loops of an unguligrade quadruped is suggested. This kinematic model includes three segments per leg and takes into account the scapula movements. The proposed method allows us to improve the accuracy of the kinematic input data measured from a single video including an additional artefact. To show the benefits of this method, joint parameters that are difficult to measure are derived symbolically from the kinematic model and compared with experimental data.

In recent years,conductive hydrogels have become a promising candidate for application in fields such as tissue engineering and flexible electronic devices because of their conductivity,soft and wet ***,the preparation of tough and uniformly conductive hydrogels remains challenging because conductive nanofillers tend to aggregate during hydrogel ***,a hydrophilic polymer assistant dispersion strategy is proposed to fabricate a tough,conductive composite hydrogel with doublenetwork based on well-dispersed carbon nanotubes(CNTs).In particular,A@T_(2.0)/polyacrylamide(PAM)hydrogels showed a tensile strength of 332.9 kPa,elongation of 584.6%,Young’s modulus of 91.5 kPa,and conductivity of 2.765 S m^(-1),and a demonstration was performed to show the strain sensing for health monitoring and *** showed that the fabricated conductive hydrogels offer promising and broad insights in the field of wearable sensors for health monitoring,innovative electronics,and human-machine interactions.

Spermatogenesis is regulated by a complex network of posttranslation ***(a modification by small ubiquiti like modifiers,or SUMO proteins)was identified as an importa nt cellular event in d iff ere nt cell *** proteins are highly expressed in the testis,and their role during spermatogenesis has begun to be *** the important role of sumoylation in the regulation of mitosis and cancer progress!on in other tissues,the aim of the current study was to identify the targets of SUMO in proliferating mouse spermatog onia and huma n semi noma tissues and to in itially exami ne the level of sumoylation in relation to the proliferative activity of the *** freshly purified spermatogonia and Cl8-4 spermatogonia cell line,mass spectrometry analysis identified several SUMO targets implicated into the proliferation of spermatogonia(such as heat shock protein 60[HSP60]and prohibitin).Tissue array and western blot approaches showed that SUMO expression is a prominent feature of human seminomas and that the proliferative activity of the tumor tissues was positively correlated with the level of SUMO *** regulation of sumoylati on with si-RNA was not sufficie nt to sign ificantly affect the proliferation of C18-4 spermatogonia;however,SUMO overexpression in creased the proliferation rate of the *** data suggest that cells are more sensitive to an elevated level of SUMO,and that this situation may lead to an upregulated cellular proliferation and,possibly,*** spectrometry analysis identified around a hundred SUMO targets in seminoma ***,many of the identified proteins(such as proliferating cell nuclear antigen[PCNA],dNA topoisomerase 2-alpha[Top2A],prohibitin,14-3-3 protein,and others)were implicated in oncogenic transformation and cancer progression.
