Objective:To evaluate the antifungal activity of four honeys of different types from Algeria against pathogenic yeast *** albicans(***) and Rhoddtorula ***:Four Algeria honeys of different botanical origin were analvzed to test anlilungal effect against ***,and Rhodotorula *** concentrations(undiluted,10%,30%,50%and 70%w/v) of honey were studied in vitro for their antifugal aclivity using *** and Rhodotorula *** fungal ***:The range of the c liameter of zone of inhibition of various concentrations ol tested honeys was(7-23 mm) for Rhodotorula sp.,while *** showed clearly resistance towards all concentrations *** MICs of tested honey concentrations against *** and Rhodotorula ***(70.09-93.48)%and(4.90-99.70)%v/v,***:This study demonstrales that,in vitro,these natural products have clearly an antifungal activity against Rhodotorula *** ***.

Low-electrode capacitive deionization(FCDI)is an emerging desalination technology with great potential for removal and/or recycling ions from a range of ***,it still suffers from inefficient charge transfer and ion transport kinetics due to weak turbulence and low electric intensity in flow electrodes,both restricted by the current ***,a new tip-array current collector(designated as T-CC)was developed to replace the conventional planar current collectors,which intensifies both the charge transfer and ion transport *** effects of tip arrays on flow and electric fields were studied by both computational simulations and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy,which revealed the reduction of ion transport barrier,charge transport barrier and internal *** the voltage increased from 1.0 to 1.5 and 2.0 V,the T-CC-based FCDI system(T-FCDI)exhibited average salt removal rates(ASRR)of 0.18,0.50,and 0.89μmol cm^(-2) min^(-1),respectively,which are 1.82,2.65,and 2.48 folds higher than that of the conventional serpentine current collectors,and 1.48,1.67,and 1.49 folds higher than that of the planar current ***,with the solid content in flow electrodes increased from 1 to 5 wt%,the ASRR for T-FCDI increased from 0.29 to 0.50μmol cm^(-2) min^(-1),which are 1.70 and 1.67 folds higher than that of the planar current ***,a salt removal efficiency of 99.89%was achieved with T-FCDI and the charge efficiency remained above 95%after 24 h of operation,thus showing its superior long-term stability.

This work is devoted to the experimental determination of the electrostatic properties of the molecular 4-methyl-7-（salicylidene amino） coumarin（C17H13NC3） using high resolution x-ray diffraction data. The experimental results are compared with those obtained theoretically from calculation type ab initio. The experimental investigation is carried out using the molecular electron charge density distribution based on the multipolar model of Hansen and Coppens. However the theoretical calculations are conducted by using the molecular orbital B3 LYP method and the Hartree-Fock（HF） approximation with the basis set 6-31G（d,p） implemented in the Gaussian program. In addition to the structural analysis,the thermal agitation is also analyzed in terms of rigid blocks to ensure a better precision of the results. Subsequently, the electrostatic atomic and molecular properties such as the net charges, the molecular dipolar moment to highlight the nature of charge transfer existing within the molecule studied are derived. Moreover, the obtained electrostatic potential enables the localization of the electropositive and the electronegative parts of the investigated molecule. The present work reports in detail the obtained electrostatic properties of this biologically important molecule.

In this work,the structure of 4-((2R)-2-(3,4-dibromophenyl)-1-fluorocyclopropyl)-N-(o-tolyl)benzamide(DBFB)has been determined at room temperature using single-crystal X-ray diffraction *** structure of the compound was solved using 1464 observed reflections with I≥2σ(I).It crystallizes in monoclinic space group P21 with a=20.0820(10),b=10.2770(10),c=4.860(2)?,β=95.9600(10)°,V=997.6(4)?3,Z=2,Dc=1.675 g/m3,F(000)=500,Μr=503.18,μ=4.09 mm-1 and the final R=*** molecular packing of the title compound exhibits C–H???O and C–H???F hydrogen bonds forming a supramolecular ***,conformational analysis has been performed in order to confirm the most stable conformer of the title *** parameters of the keto conformer in the ground state have been obtained using density functional theory(DFT)method with B3LYP/6-31G(d,p)level of *** general,a good agreement between the calculated and experimental results was *** normal modes of vibration,molecular boundary orbitals(HOMO and LUMO),reactivity descriptors,Mullikan atomic charges and molecular electrostatic potential for the title compound have been evaluated and discussed.

The technique of imaging a target with a complicated motion using an Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar(ISAR) system is an effective tool in the field of radar signal processing. After the translational compensation, the received signal reflected from the target can take the form of a multi-component Polynomial Phase Signal(m-PPS), and the high quality ISAR image can be provided via the combination between the estimated parameters of the m-PPS and the Range Instantaneous-Doppler technique(RID). For a target with a high maneuvrability, the occurrence of scatterers Migration Through Resolution Cell(MTRC), caused by the rotational movement could be appearing. That is why the variation in the amplitude of the echo during the time of observation cannot be neglected. The purpose of this study is the parameters estimation of the m-PPS signal with order three in the case of the Time Varying Amplitude(TVA). The Improved-version of the Product High-order Ambiguity Function(IPHAF) with TVA is proposed to improve the quality of the ISAR image compared with traditional techniques based on a constant amplitude;the experimental outcomes confirm that the new IPHAF-TVA method presented in this study is an effective technique to make the ISAR image very clear.

Background:To evaluate,using a rabbit model,the influence of the wound healing process at the flap edge on corneal biomechanics after sutured,glued,and non-augmented microkeratome ***:Unilateral 160μm thick laser in situ keratomileusis(LASIK)flaps using a mechanical microkeratome were performed on the corneas of the left eyes of 36 *** were then divided into 3 groups of 12 rabbits each:A:the flaps were glued with human fibrin tissue adhesive(Tisseel);B:the flaps were sutured;and C:the flaps were allowed to heal without the use of sutures or glue(non-augmented).The contralateral eyes served as *** ocular response analyzer(ORA)was used to measure corneal hysteresis(CH),corneal resistance factor(CRF),Goldmann-correlated intraocular pressure(IOPg)and cornea-compensated IOP(IOPcc)at 6 weeks and 3 months *** vivo confocal microscopy(IVCM)was also used to study the corneal wound healing process in all ***:Both mean CH and mean CRF were significantly higher in sutured and glued groups compared with the non-augmented group at 6 weeks and 3 months postoperatively(P<0.0001).No statistically significant difference in corneal biomechanics was found between controls and groups A and B at any time *** keratocytes were detected at the wound edge and peripheral flap interface in sutured and glued ***:The healing process at the wound edge is critical for optimal corneal *** glue may serve as a safe and effective substitute to sutures in enhancing the corneal flap edge healing response and in increasing its mechanical strength.

Since the discovery of graphene,the star among new materials,there has been a surge of attention focused on the monatomic and monomolecular sheets which can be obtained by exfoliation of layered *** materials are known as two-dimensional(2D)materials and offer enormous versatility and *** ultimate single atom,or molecule,thickness of the 2D materials sheets provides the highest surface to weight ratio of all the nanomaterials,which opens the door to the design of more sensitive and reliable chemical *** variety of properties and the possibility of tuning the chemical and surface properties of the 2D materials increase their potential as selective sensors,targeting chemical species that were previously difficult to *** planar structure and the mechanical flexibility of the sheets allow new sensor designs and put 2D materials at the forefront of all the candidates for wearable *** developing sensors for alcohol,the response time is an essential factor for many industrial and forensic applications,particularly when it comes to hand-held ***,we review recent developments in the applications of 2D materials in sensing alcohols along with a study on parameters that affect the sensing *** review also discusses the strategies used to develop the sensor along with their mechanisms of sensing and provides a critique of the current limitations of 2D materials-based alcohol sensors and an outlook for the future research required to overcome the challenges.

The structural, magnetic and electronic properties of the double perovskite Ba2SmNbO6 （for the simple cubic structure where no octahedral tilting exists anymore） are studied using the density functional theory within the generalized gradient approximation as well as taking into account the on-site Coulomb repulsive interaction. The total energy, the spin magnetic moment, the band structure and the density of states are calculated. The optimization of the lattice constants is 8.5173 A, which is in good agreement with the experimental value 8.5180 A. The calculations reveal that Ba2SmNbO6 has a stable ferromagnetic ground state and the spin magnetic moment per molecule is 5.00μB/f.u. which comes mostly from the Sin3＋ ion only. By analysis of the band structure, the compound exhibits the direct band gap material and half-metallic ferromagnetic nature with 100% spin-up polarization, which implies potential applications of this new lanthanide compound in magneto-electronic and spintronic devices.

The paper deals with the problem of switched dynamical systems modeling especially in DC-DC converters case study consideration. It presents two approaches to describe accurately the behavior of this class of systems. To clarify the paper＇s contribution, the proposed approaches are validated through simulations and experimental results. A comparative study, between the obtained results and those of other techniques from the literature, is given to evaluate the performances of the studied approaches.

A hybrid system proposed by three different specifications for the equipment of a tourist lodge in the headland of south-west Morocco was sized by analysing the limits of load profile constraints,such as hour-to-hour variability(HHR),day-to-day variability(DDR)and the operating reserve rate(ROR).Based on the three-factor Doehlert matrix recommendations,the simulations employed an energy-sizing tool for hybrid renewable-energy *** was conducted with DDR at 5-30%,HHR at 10-30%and ROR at 0-20%.Under these conditions,a second-order polynomial relationship with a correlation rate of~90%was found between the net present cost(NPC)of the system,the levelized cost of electricity and the various constraint *** first specification,SPC(1),composed of generators and batteries,was introduced to control and validate the simulation independently of renewable energy,which showed a positive manifestation with the imposed *** analysis expanded by introducing solar and wind energy *** SPC(2)configuration added PV modules to the SPC(1)and the SPC(3)configuration added wind turbines to SPC(2).The effect of DDR,HHR and ROR in the trials was significant by linear *** the same time,only DDR had a significant quadratic *** others,with their pairwise interactions,were *** desirability procedure made it possible to calculate the maximum limits of load profile constraint variables leading to targets of LCOE=0.41 US$/kWh and NPC=US$320080.1 of the load profile constraints:the DDR=15.47%and the HHR=26.55%at an ROR rate of 17.77%.
