INTRODUCTION Societies around the world have committed themselves to achieving the paris goals of carbon dioxide(CO_(2))reduction and limiting global warming to 1.5Cwith different levels of legal *** transport sector is both a major use of energy and amajor source of air pollutants,including CO_(2),nitrogen oxides,ozone,particularmatter,and volatile organic compounds that cause climate change and harm human health.1,2 The recent Ukraine–Russia war triggered countries to evaluate a fossil–fuel-dependent transport system that is highly vulnerable.

The health impact of electric vehicles(EVs)is complex and multifaceted,encompassing reductions in air pollutants,improvements in road safety,and implications for social ***,existing studies often provide fragmented insights,lacking a unified framework to comprehensively assess these public health *** paper develops a comprehensive framework to summarize the health outcomes of EVs in urban areas,where the health impacts are more pronounced due to higher levels of traffic congestion and air *** on previous conceptual work that identified pathways linking general transportation and health,our model illustrates how the characteristics of EVs influence public health through various pathways compared to traditional transportation ***,we address socioeconomic factors that introduce variability in EV-related health outcomes,emphasizing the need to consider potential health disparities in policy and intervention *** comprehensive approach aims to inform holistic policies that account for the complex interplay between transportation,environment,and public health.

中国客运交通的碳排放地理特征与展望

围绕全国、省市和"一带一路"三个空间层面,对1990-2012年中国客运交通的碳排放进行了估算和分析。研究表明:1在全国层面上,公路是碳排放总量最大的运输方式,其次是航空,而铁路和水运的碳排放较低且保持稳定;2在省市层面上,交通碳排放呈现出从东部向中、西部递减的趋势,并且空间分布越来越集中在东部省份;3"一带一路"的主要城市中,"丝绸之路经济带"(简称"一带")的沿线城市表现出较低的交通碳排放,而"21世纪海上丝绸之路"(简称"一路")沿线的港口城市的交通碳排放较高,而且都以公路碳排放为主。未来在满足和控制交通需求的同时,有必要发展以铁路和公共交通为主的低碳交通模式,替代目前以公路为主的交通模式。

智慧社会下,信息通信技术已经渗透到居民日常生活中各个方面的网络/实体活动经历,是理解智慧社会发展的核心。同时,虚拟—实体空间关系、网络—实体活动关系及其对城市地域空间重构与演化的影响一直得到城市地理学者的广泛关注。在综述已有居民活动时空间研究的基础上,指出智慧社会下居民网络—实体活动的关系已经超越简单的替代—促进二元关系,而承载网络与实体活动的虚拟与实体空间也相互交织影响,挑战对实体空间中地方与移动性的理解,并重构虚拟空间中的秩序和规律,丰富智慧社会下城市地理学的研究问题。超越技术决定论与基于技术决定论的虚实空间二元论的讨论范畴,更能反映城市地理学在智慧社会发展话语体系中的地位。与发达国家不同,中国同时经历着快速的信息化与城镇化,对居民网络/实体活动组织及虚拟—实体空间关系的研究不仅提供了新的案例与理论贡献,而且为城镇化的可持续发展提供实践策略。

Applying the Hidden Markov Model to Analyze Urban Mobility patterns: An Interdisciplinary Approach

With the emergence of the Internet of Things(IoT), there has been a proliferation of urban studies using big data. yet, another type of urban research innovations that involve interdisciplinary thinking and methods remains underdeveloped. This paper represents an attempt to adopt a Hidden Markov Model(HMM) toolbox developed in Computer Science for the analysis of eye movement patterns in psychology to answer urban mobility questions in Geography. The main idea is that both people’s eye movements and travel behavior follow the stop-travel-stop pattern, which can be summarized using HMM. Methodological challenges were addressed by adjusting the HMM to analyze territory-wide travel survey data in Hong Kong, China. By using the adjusted toolbox to identify the activitytravel patterns of working adults in Hong Kong, two distinctive groups of balanced(38.4%) and work-oriented(61.6%) lifestyles were identified. With some notable exceptions, working adults living in the urban core were having a more work-oriented lifestyle. Those with a balanced lifestyle were having a relatively compact zone of non-work activities around their homes but a relatively long commuting distance. Furthermore, working females tend to spend more time at home than their counterparts, regardless of their marital status and lifestyle. Overall, this interdisciplinary research demonstrates an attempt to integrate spatial, temporal, and sequential information for understanding people’s behavior in urban mobility research.

Ever since the introduction of the Open Door policy, the pearl River Delta (pRD) has enjoyed very phenomenal export and economic growth. As a result, many scholars have tried to associate the two phenomena and described the region as an,'export-oriented economy'.However, these studies, mostly based on the rapid export growth of the pRD and its status as the most important exporting area of the country,have not paid any heed to the actual export-orientation of the regional economy and, hence, cannot prove that the pRD has been a 'truly'export-oriented economy. in view of these shortcomings. the present paper attempts to re-examine the issue from the viewpoint of the pRD's local economy, at both the regional and county levels. The study period is from 1981 to 1990. Judging from the export-dependency indices and the relative importance of exports in accounting for the economic growth and industrialization of the pRD, this paper concludes that the region, though having signs of increasing export-orientation, cannot be categorized as a 'truly' export-oriented economy. In addition, it also shows that most of the 'evidences' or 'common beliefs' behind the notion of an export-oriented economy in the RD are illusionary, if not erroneous. Finally, the paper explores into the reasons behind the low export-orientation of the pRD and tries to sugyst some ways for boosting the export-orientation of the pRD and tries to suggest some ways for boosting the export-orientation of the region.

高铁的网络化规划和发展为粤港澳大湾区内居民跨城活动提供便捷的快速公交式服务,是粤港澳大湾区形塑"一小时生活圈"的重要支撑。高铁站与城市公共交通的接驳在高铁出行链中占据重要位置,对更好发挥高铁时空压缩效应、提升居民高铁出行满意度、增加高铁出行选择及载客量具有重要意义。本文结合融合交通理论与旅客换乘经历,提出高铁站与城市公共交通接驳理论框架与实地观察指标,并应用到广深港沿线香港西九龙站、深圳北站、广州南站的观察式调研中,分析和对比3个高铁站的公共交通接驳表现。研究发现:在信息衔接层面,香港西九龙站展现出更好的国际化形象与对特殊人群的人文关怀;在设施和服务衔接层面,深圳北站与香港西九龙站以商场作为公共交通换乘点/路线连接点的设计,优化了换乘环境;在车票制度衔接层面,广州南站与深圳北站更好运用信息化技术,便利换乘服务。最后,基于调研结论提出相关建议以提升高铁站点城市公共交通接驳水准,促进粤港澳大湾区发展。

人口老龄化已经成为世界各国、各地区社会经济发展面临的重要问题。中国从2001年步入老龄化社会,提升老龄群体生活质量对于全面实现小康社会意义重大,也是促进中国城镇化健康发展的需要。梳理了中国20世纪80年代以来养老政策和实践的演进路径,强调了居家养老既要符合中国社会经济发展的特征,也要满足老龄群体的生活需求;鉴于中国社区的养老服务设施供给仍然滞后于老龄化发展的现状,探讨了在智慧社会下,通过信息化策略(虚拟空间)与可步行邻里环境(实体空间),提升已有养老服务设施的服务覆盖面和质量、构建老龄群体的智慧社区生活模式、促进居家养老服务的时空匹配、提升居家养老服务的质量水平等策略。
