Crystallographic Parameters and Band Gap of CdSxSe1-x mixed Crystals

Crystals of CdSxSe1-x alloys have been grown from the vapour phase. Some of the physical properties, such as lattice parameters, crystal structure and x-rays data of CdSxSe1-x alloys were determined using x-ray diffractometry. X-ray diffractometry has shown that CdS-CdSe mixed crystals had the wurtzite structure for all compositions between CdS and CdSe. The lattice parameters （both a and c） were found to show a linear dependence with composition. The dependence of the lattice parameters of a and c on composition can be expressed as： a（x） = 4.165 ＋ 0.16x; c（x） = 6.713 ＋ 0.27x. The variation of band gap with composition was determined for these samples from optical absorption measurements, which showed that the band gap varied smoothly and monotonically, but not linearly over the composition range typical results were found between 2.42-1.74 eV at room temperature.

Synthesis of PbS:ZnO nanotrees by thermal evaporation:morphological,structural and optical properties

Nanotrees ZnO films are synthesized by thermal evaporation method on silicon and glass substrates-PbS powder(5 wt%)is used to obtain the nanostructure and growth modifications·ZnO films are compared with non-doped ones(ZnO film was dense structure without nanotrees).The deposited PbS:ZnO films exhibit polycrystalline orientation using X-ray diffraction(XRD),but the films without doping was less crystalline quality·Scanning electron microscopy(SEm)and atomic force microscopy(AFm)were used to characterize the morphology·SEm images(surface and cross section)was confirmed the nanotrees form for doped ZnO *** dispersive X-ray detector(EDX)was used to verify the composition of prepared films·Ultraviolet-visible(UV-Vis),photoluminescence(PL)and micro Raman techniques were used to investigate the optical properties·The PL spectra intensities were found to increase for PbS:ZnO *** to our knowledge,no work has been published regarding the obtained ZnO nanotrees using Pb S as dopant via simple thermal evaporation method.

E-Government is defined as a system utilizing the Internet and the world-wide-web for delivering government informa-tion and services to citizens. This system reduces the processing costs, improves service delivery, and increases trans-parency and communication between a government and its citizens. The aim of this paper is to propose a new model to measure the readiness of e-Government according to cultural factors. By assessing to which degree these cultural factors are present/absent in a country and which of them have a significant impact on government readiness, the government will be able to identify their weakness and strength points, then build a preparing plan that can help them to achieve the readiness required toward a successful implementation of the e-Government systems.

With the new era of the Internet of Things(IoT)technology,many devices with limited resources are *** devices are susceptible to a signicant number of new malware and other risks emerging *** of the most appropriate methods for securing those IoT applications is cryptographic algorithms,as cryptography masks information by eliminating the risk of collecting any meaningful information *** ensures that all data communications are private,accurate,authenticated,authorized,or *** conventional cryptographic algorithms have been developed specically for devices with limited resources;however,it turns out that such algorithms are not ideal for IoT restricted devices with their current ***,lightweight block ciphers are gaining popularity to meet the requirements of low-power and constrained devices.A new ultra-lightweight secret-key block-enciphering algorithm named“LBC-IoT”is proposed in this *** proposed block length is 32-bit supporting key lengths of 80-bit,and it is mainly based on the Feistel ***-efcient cryptographic features in“LBC-IoT”include the use of simple functions(shift,XOR)and small rigid substitution boxes(4-bit-S-boxes).Besides,it is immune to different types of attacks such as linear,differential,and side-channel as well as exible in terms of ***,LBC-IoT achieves reasonable performance in both hardware and software compared to other recent ***-IoT’s hardware implementation results are very promising(smallest ever area“548”GE)and competitive with today’s leading lightweight ***-IoT is also ideally suited for ultra-restricted devices such as RFID tags.

Pathophysiology, epidemiology, classification and treatment options for polycystic liver diseases

Hepatic portal venous gas: Physiopathology, etiology, prognosis and treatment

Hepatic portal venous gas (HPVG), an ominous radiologic sign, is associated in some cases with a severe underlying abdominal disease requiring urgent operative intervention. HPVG has been reported with increasing frequency in medical literature and usually accompanies severe or lethal conditions. The diagnosis of HPVG is usually made by plain abdominal radiography, sonography, color Doppler flow imaging or computed tomography (CT) scan. Currently, the increased use of CT scan and ultrasound in the inpatient setting allows early and highly sensitive detection of such severe illnesses and also the recognition of an increasing number of benign and non-life threatening causes of HPVG. HPVG is not by itself a surgical indication and the treatment depends mainly on the underlying disease. The prognosis is related to the pathology itself and is not influenced by the presence of HPVG. Based on a review of the literature, we discuss in this paper the pathophysiology, risk factors, radiographic findings, management, and prognosis of pathologies associated with HPVG.

A 3-Node Co-Rotational Triangular Finite Element for Non-Smooth,Folded and multi-Shell Laminated Composite Structures

Based on the first-order shear deformation theory,a 3-node co-rotational triangular finite element formulation is developed for large deformation modeling of non-smooth,folded and multi-shell laminated composite *** two smaller components of the mid-surface normal vector of shell at a node are defined as nodal rotational variables in the co-rotational local coordinate *** the global coordinate system,two smaller components of one vector,together with the smallest or second smallest component of another vector,of an orthogonal triad at a node on a non-smooth intersection of plates and/or shells are defined as rotational variables,whereas the two smaller components of the mid-surface normal vector at a node on the smooth part of the plate or shell(away from non-smooth intersections)are defined as rotational *** these vectorial rotational variables can be updated in an additive manner during an incremental solution procedure,and thus improve the computational efficiency in the nonlinear solution of these composite shell *** to the commutativity of all nodal variables in calculating of the second derivatives of the local nodal variables with respect to global nodal variables,and the second derivatives of the strain energy functional with respect to local nodal variables,symmetric tangent stiffness matrices in local and global coordinate systems are *** overcome shear locking,the assumed transverse shear strains obtained from the line-integration approach are *** reliability and computational accuracy of the present 3-node triangular shell finite element are verified through modeling two patch tests,several smooth and non-smooth laminated composite shells undergoing large displacements and large rotations.

Emergence of vancomycin-intermediate resistant Staphylococcus aureus in north of Palestine

Objective:This study was conducted to update the prevalence of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus(mRSA) isolates among human clinical *** isolates recovered from Northern Palestine,to evaluate the possible presence of vancomycin-Resistant ***(VRSA) and vancomycin- intermediate resistant *** strains(VISA) and to determine the antimicrobial susceptibilities of these clinical ***:The in vitro activities of 11 antibiotics against 204 non-duplicate *** isolates from clinical samples in North of Palestine were determined by the diskdiffusion *** samples were isolated between June 2006 and December *** minimum inhibitory concentration (mIC) of vancomycin for 115 methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus(mRSA) strains was carried out using the agar dilution ***:One hundred and fifteen(56.4%) of these isolates were mRSA and according to their antibiotic profile these are multidrug resistant(resistant to three or more non-p-lactam antibiotics). Ninety nine(43.6%) isolates were methicillin sensitive ***(mSSA),forty four of mSSA isolates(44.4%) were multidrug resistant,while forty five(45.6%) were non multidrug *** results showed that the most common resistance(95.6%) was to *** strains of mRSA have shown to be vancomycin- intermediate resistant,had mIC of 4μg/rnL and 8μg/mL and these vancomycin- intermediate resistant *** strains(VISA) are resistant to all antibiotics ***:According to our information this is the first study report about VISA in Palestine.
