To the Editor：This is a brief clinical report on different endovascular procedures in the treatment of popliteal artery aneurysms （PAAs）.A 75-year-old man presented at the vascular clinic with progressive left lower limb pain at rest associated with coolness,pain,and *** medical history was significant for hypertension and *** femoral and popliteal pulsations were only felt in the left ***,pallor,paresthesia,delayed capillary refilling,and color changes were noted in the left limb together with rest *** ultrasound was performed and an embolization （Rutherford Grade 2b） and bilateral PAAs were found,which on computed tomography angiogram （CTA） measured 62 mm and 82 mm with the maximum diameters in the right and left popliteal artery,*** was found in both aneurysm sacs [Figure 1 a and b].Thromboembolism from the left PAA could be seen in the distal *** potentially associated aneurysms were excluded by magnetic resonance *** erythrocyte sedimentation rate and C-reactive protein were moderately elevated,and thrombophilia profile was negative,and history for any orogenital ulcers was negative.

Various SARS-CoV-2-related coronaviruses have been increasingly identified in pangolins,showing a potential threat to *** we report the infectivity and pathogenicity of the SARS-CoV-2-related virus,PCoV-GX/P2V,which was isolated from a Malayan pangolin(Manis javanica).PCoV-GX/P2V could grow in human hepatoma,colorectal adenocarcinoma cells,and human primary nasal epithelial *** replicated more efficiently in cells expressing human angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(hACE2)as SARS-CoV-2 *** intranasal inoculation to the hACE2-transgenic mice,PCoV-GX/P2V not only replicated in nasal turbinate and lungs,but also caused interstitial pneumonia,characterized by infiltration of mixed inflammatory cells and multifocal alveolar *** population immunity established by SARS-CoV-2 infection and vaccination may not protect people from PCoV-GX/P2V *** findings further verify the hACE2 utility of PCoV-GX/P2V by in vivo experiments using authentic viruses and highlight the importance for intensive surveillance to prevent possible cross-species transmission.

Effect of Intravascular Ultrasound-assisted Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair for ＂Complicated＂ Type B Aortic Dissection

Background： Intravascular ultrasound （IVUS） examination can provide useful information during endovascular stent graft repair. However, its actual clinical utility in thoracic endovascular aortic repair （TEVAR） for type B aortic dissection （type B-AD） remains unclear, especially in complicated aortic dissection. We evaluated the effect of IVUS as a complementary tool during TEVAR. Methods： From September 2011 to April 2012, we conducted a prospective cohort study of 47 consecutive patients with ＂complicated＂ type B-AD diagnosed. We divided the patients into two groups： 1VUS-assisted TEVAR group and TEVAR using angiography alone group. The general procedure of TEVAR was performed. We evaluated the per±operative and follow-up events. Patient demographics, comorbidities, preoperative images, dissection morphology, details of operative strategy, intraoperative events, and postoperative course were recorded. Results： A total of 47 patients receiving TEVAR were enrolled. Among them （females, 8.51%; mean age, 57.38 i 13.02 years）, 13 cases （27.66%） were selected in the IVUS-assisted TEVAR group, and 34 were selected in the TEVAR group. All patients were symptomatic. The average diameter values of IVUS measurements in the landing zone were greater than those estimated by computed tomography angiography （31.82 ± 4.21 mm vs. 30.64 ± 4.13 ram, P 〈 0.001）. The technique success rate was 100%. Among the postoperative outcomes, statistical differences were only observed between the IVUS-assisted TEVAR group and TEVAR group for total operative time and the amount of contrast used （P = 0.013 and P 〈 0.001, respectively）. The follow-up ranged from 15 to 36 months for the IVUS-assisted TEVAR group and from 10 to 35 months for the TEVAR group （P = 0.646）. The primary endpoints were no statistical difference in the two groups. Conclusions： Intraoperative IVUS-assisted TEVAR is clinically feasible and safe. Objective:This cross-sectional study aimed to determine the epidemiology of olfactory and gustatory dysfunctions related to COVID-19 in ***:This study was conducted by 45 tertiary Grade-A hospitals in *** and offline questionnaire data were obtained from patients infected with COVID-19 between December 28,2022,and February 21,*** collected information included basic demographics,medical history,smoking and drinking history,vaccination history,changes in olfactory and gustatory functions before and after infection,and other postinfection symptoms,as well as the duration and improvement status of olfactory and gustatory ***:Complete questionnaires were obtained from 35,566 *** overall incidence of olfactory and taste dysfunction was 67.75%.Being female or being a cigarette smoker increased the likelihood of developing olfactory and taste *** received four doses of the vaccine or having good oral health or being a alcohol drinker decreased the risk of such *** infection,the average olfactory and taste VAS scores were 8.41 and 8.51,respectively;after infection,they decreased to 3.69 and 4.29 and recovered to 5.83 and 6.55 by the time of the *** median duration of dysosmia and dysgeusia was 15 and 12 days,respectively,with 0.5%of patients having symptoms lasting for more than 28 *** overall self-reported improvement rate was 59.16%.Recovery was higher in males,never smokers,those who received two or three vaccine doses,and those that had never experienced dental health issues,or chronic accompanying ***:The incidence of dysosmia and dysgeusia following infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus is high in *** and prognosis are influenced by several factors,including sex,SARS-CoV-2 vaccination,history of head-facial trauma,nasal and oral health status,smoking and drinking history,and the persistence of accompanying symptoms.

We reported a case of multiple type II endoleaks detected by duplex ultrasound after endovascular abdominal aneurysm repair. The patient was undergoing warfarin therapy. Duplex ultrasound was applied as the sole surveillance method during follow-up and provided the concerned information for reintervention. The endoleaks were successfully repaired by coil embolization of the collaterals from the internal lilac artery feeding the fourth lumbar artery.

Aortic dissection （AD） is a catastrophic disease involving the aorta. Most intimal tears are located in the ascending aorta or the first portion of the descending aorta.1 It is a rare case that the proximal tear originates from the left subclavian artery （LSA）. Virtual endoscopy （VE） technology could provide us a specific perspective to see from intraluminal to the outside and was especially helpful to look for and indentify complicated intimal tears.^2 Vascular occluder is a useful device to treat vessel diseases alone or combined with other appratus.

Multilevel aortic disease presents a formidable challenge for vascular surgeons. In the past,multilevel aortic surgery was performed simultaneously or subsequently. Single-stage intervention is thought to be associated with a high incidence of complications, and sequential repair requires several major surgical interventions. The rupture of residual lesion, however, may take place while waiting the second operation. Endovascular treatment is recognized as a viable alternative to the treatment of the diseased aortic areas especially in the high-risk patient, as it could markedly lower the incidence of complications compared with other procedures. However, thoracic aortic anatomy must be favorable to the placement of a stent-grafi （SG）. Sufficient proximal and distal landing zone is mandatory to deploy the SG and ensure a satisfactory exclusion result. Therefore, complex dissection with multiple-tear located extremely near the orifice of the visceral arteries is excluded from orthodox endovascular therapy. Here we present a case of multi-teared dissecting aneurysm treated by a four-staged hybrid surgery with placement of 5 SGs.

Pseudoaneurysms of the femoral artery usually progress and can rupture if left untreated. Therefore,intraoperative hemostasis is of the paramount importance in the management of these emergent situations, especially for the patients with poor general health. We present an efficient method of stopping massive bleeding occurring in this patient by balloon catheter.
