Robust Attack Detection Approach for IIoT Using Ensemble Classifier

Generally,the risks associated with malicious threats are increasing for the Internet of Things(IoT)and its related applications due to dependency on the Internet and the minimal resource availability of IoT ***,anomaly-based intrusion detection models for IoT networks are *** detection methodologies need to be developed for the Industrial Internet of Things(IIoT)network as threat detection is a significant expectation of *** learning approaches are considered to be evolving techniques that learn with experience,and such approaches have resulted in superior performance in various applications,such as pattern recognition,outlier analysis,and speech *** techniques and tools are not adequate to secure IIoT networks due to the use of various protocols in industrial systems and restricted possibilities of *** this paper,the objective is to develop a two-phase anomaly detection model to enhance the reliability of an IIoT *** the first phase,SvM and Naïve Bayes,are integrated using an ensemble blending technique.K-fold cross-validation is performed while training the data with different training and testing ratios to obtain optimized training and test *** blending uses a random forest technique to predict class *** Artificial Neural Network(ANN)classifier that uses the Adam optimizer to achieve better accuracy is also used for *** the second phase,both the ANN and random forest results are fed to the model’s classification unit,and the highest accuracy value is considered the final *** proposed model is tested on standard IoT attack datasets,such as WUSTL_IIOT-2018,N_BaIoT,and bot_*** highest accuracy obtained is 99%.A comparative analysis of the proposed model using state-of-the-art ensemble techniques is performed to demonstrate the superiority of the *** results also demonstrate that the proposed model outperforms traditional techniques and thus improv

In Arabidopsis thaliana, multiple genes involved in shoot apical meristem （SAM） transitions have been char- acterized, but the mechanisms required for the dynamic attainment of vegetative, inflorescence, and floral meristem （vM, IM, FM） cell fates during SAM transitions are not well understood. Here we show that a MADS-box gene, XAANTAL2 （XAL2/AGL14）, is necessary and sufficient to induce flowering, and its regula- tion is important in FM maintenance and determinacy, xal2 mutants are late flowering, particularly under short-day （SD） condition, while XAL2 overexpressing plants are early flowering, but their flowers have vege- tative traits. Interestingly, inflorescences of the latter plants have higher expression levels of LFY, AP1, and TFL1 than wild-type plants. In addition we found that XAL2 is able to bind the TFL1 regulatory regions. On the other hand, the basipetal carpels of the 35S：：XAL2 lines lose determinacy and maintain high levels of WUS expression under SD condition. To provide a mechanistic explanation for the complex roles of XAL2 in SAM transitions and the apparently paradoxical phenotypes of XAL2 and other MADS-box （SOCl, AGL24） over- expressors, we conducted dynamic gene regulatory network （GRN） and epigenetic landscape modeling. We uncovered a GRN module that underlies vM, IM, and FM gene configurations and transition patterns in wild- type plants as well as loss and gain of function lines characterized here and previously. Our approach thus provides a novel mechanistic framework for understanding the complex basis of SAM development.

Ultrastructural and Physiological Characterization of YELP, a Novel, Yellow, Chlorophyll-Deficient Cell Mutant Line That Develops Etioplast-Like Plastids in the Light

In this work, we present an ultrastructural and physiological description of a novel chlorophyll-deficient, yellow cell line of the grass Bouteloua gracilis that develops etioplast-like plastids in presence of light (YELP). These mutant cells were compared to the parental, wild-type, highly chlorophyllous cells from which they were isolated. Growth analysis, based on fresh and dry weights, indicated that YELP accumulates biomass at a slower rate than the parental, green cells. Besides, YELP developed very low levels of photosynthetic pigments, reaching only 9.3% and 38.4% of chlorophyll a and chlorophyll b, respectively, developed by the wild-type cells. Likewise, the accessory pigments, carotenes and xanthophylls, were only synthesized at 8.0% and 5.4%, respectively, of the levels reached by the green cells. Electron microscopy revealed remarkable differences in plastid ultrastructure between the wild-type and mutant cells. Plastids of YELP were heterogeneous and smaller than those found in wild-type cells. YELP plastids were abnormal with poorly developed membrane systems that prevented the accumulation of chlorophyll and accessory pigments in the mutant cell line. We expect this novel, mutant cell line will provide new tools for studying plastid development and differentiation.

Cymbidium sp. has several ornamental, medicinal and cosmetic uses. Essential oils were obtained through extraction by hydrodistillation of flower and pedicellate ovary. The chromatographic profile was obtained by thin layer chromatography (TLC), combined with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC/MS), for the identification and relative quantification of various substances in three samples from the orchid (flower, pedicellate ovary and aqueous residue). With TLC, five compounds were identified in the flower, with the most abundant being terpineol, linalool and zingiberene, and five in the pedicellate ovary, with borneol, cineole, and β-bisabolene being in the greatest concentration, while for the aqueous residue, the most abundant was geraniol. Using GC/MS, 25 volatile components associated with the flower were identified, of which the most abundant were linalool (22.92%), 4-methyl-phenol (15.07%) and p-Menth-1-en-8-ol (12.32%). In pedicellate ovaries, 13 components were identified, with the most abundant being 4-methyl-phenol (31.24%), bicycle [4.4.0] dec-1-ene, 2-isopropyl-5-methyl-9-methylene-(17.74%) and 2-hexanone (10.24%), while in the aqueous residue 18 components were found, with the most abundant being 4-methyl-phenol (18.71%) and 2- cyclohexen-1-ol (14.60%).

Objective: Smoking is an important risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Sym pathetic responses to cigarette smoking may be implicated in the link between sm oking and cardiovascular disease. We tested the hypothesis that the sympathetic neural responses to smoking are age dependent. Methods: We examined the effects of cigarette smoking and sham smoking on muscle sympathetic nerve activity, bloo d pressure and heart rate in 14 normotensive middle-aged(49±4 years) and 12 yo ung(29±4 years) habitual smokers matched for body mass index(25±2 kg/m2 in bot h groups). Results: Sham smoking had no significant effect on sympathetic drive, blood pressure or heart rate in either group. Cigarette smoking increased heart rate in both middle-aged subjects and young subjects. In comparison to younger subjects, middle-aged smokers showed similar smoking-related increases in sys tolic blood pressure(SBP)[10±3 versus 12±2 mmHg, respectively, not significant (NS)]. Smoking decreased sympathetic nerve activity by 28±12%of baseline value s(Pver, muscle sympathetic nerve activity did not change significantly after smoking in middle-aged subjects(5±8%, NS), despit e the increased blood pressures, which would be expected to inhibit sympathetic activity. By contrast, in young subjects, the heart rate increase(22±2 bpm) was greater than that seen in middle-aged subjects(13±2 bpm, Pboth groups, young subjects respond to smoking by marked increases in heart rate and suppression of central sympathetic outflow. In middl e-aged subjects, the heart rate increase is less marked, but sympathetic vasoco nstrictor activity is not suppressed.

Objective: To determine the prevalence of constipation in children ≤ 2 years , describe the symptoms of constipation, and review how often specific intervent ions were effective. Study design: Retrospective chart review. Results: Of 4 1 57 children valence rate for constipation in the first year of life was 2.9% , and in the second year o f life, the rate was 10.1% . Functional constipation was the cause in 97% of the children. Boys and girls were affected with equal frequency. Constipation wa s caused by an underlying organic disease in 1.6% of cases. Dietary changes an d corn syrup were the initial treatment suggestions for 116 children; 93% of t hese children underwent follow- up examinations, and the constipation resolved in 25% of the children. Of 100 children treated with milk of magnesia or polye thylene glycol 3350 without electrolytes, 93 children underwent follow- up exam inations, and the constipation was resolved with treatment in 92% of the child ren. Conclusions: Dietary changes, corn syrup, or both resolved constipation in 25% of children, and laxatives resolved constipation in 92% of children. bot h milk of magnesia and polyethylene glycol were efficient and safe in infants an d toddlers.
