Dear Editor,I am *** Montolío-Marzo from FISABIO Oftalmología Médica,Valencia,Spain.I write you to present a case report of epithelial downgrowth in an aphakic *** epithelial downgrowth is one of the most feared complications in cases of penetrating ocular trauma or recurrent ocular *** progress can affect all the ocular structures,giving rise to corneal decompensation,retinal detachment,difficult-to-treat glaucoma or phthisis bulbi and many cases end in enucleation[1].Fortunately,the incidence of this condition is very low,there being between 0.08%and 0.12%after cataract surgery and 0.25%after penetrating *** infrequency means that scientific evidence is reduced to case series and the opinions of experts without there being a homogeneous criterion to guide the work of the doctor in *** these reasons,epithelial downgrowth is still a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge.

The safe use of buses by passengers travelling with pushchairs for young children is a mobility problem that has not yet been satisfactorily resolved. The lack of national and international standards in this area in the past led to the development of a research project developed jointly by the Universitat Politecnica Valencia and the Universidad Politecnica Madrid （Spain）. This paper shows a comparative study to evaluate the dynamic behaviour in case of low-g accidents reproducing frontal impacts resembling real traffic events （deceleration 2g, AV 20 km/h） of a new pushchair restraint system against the use of back-restraint by pushchairs as establishes R 107- 06 series of amendments. In the dynamic trials, three pushchair restraint prototypes and a typical wheelchair back-restraint system combined with two worst-case up-to-date pushchair models in misuse and correct use configurations were tested. The results demonstrated the need for preventing children injuries as a consequence of low-g accidents. The new design meets and improves the latest revision of regulation R 107 regarding the use of restraint systems for the transport of wheelchair and pushchair passengers and represents an advance for pushchairs travelling on buses.

Electric load forecasting has been a major area of research in the last decade since the production of accurate short-term forecasts for electricity loads has proven to be a key to success for many of the decision makers in the energy sector, from power generation to operation of the system. The objective of this research is to analyze the capacity of the MLP （multilayer perceptron neural network） versus SOM （self-organizing map neural network） for short-term load forecasting. The MLP is one of the most commonly used networks. It can be used for classification problems, model construction, series forecasting and discrete control. On the other hand, the SOM is a type of artificial neural network that is trained using unsupervised data to produce a low-dimensional, discretized representation of an input space of training samples in a cell map. Historical data of real global load demand were used for the research. Both neural models provide good prediction results, but the results obtained with the SOM maps are markedly better Also the main advantage of SOM maps is that they reach good results as a network unsupervised. It is much easier to train and interpret the results.

Wireless technology for underwater communication possesses a wide range of potential application, but it is still a relatively unexplored area in many aspects concerning modems physical design. A step towards future deployment of underwater networks is the reduction of power consumption. Therefore, asynchronous wakeup systems need to be integrated within the physical layer design while avoiding the use of additional transducers. This paper offers a practical and generic solution to adapt data reception and transmission together with asynchronous wakeup sub-systems in acoustic underwater modem architectures using a low power and low cost solution. The proposal has been implemented in a real prototype with success.

In this work, we make a number of proposals to explain how a world of (4 + 4)-dimensions can be useful for a better understanding of both dark matter and quantum gravity. The key idea is to look for some advantage of considering self-dual invariants in (4 + 4)-dimensions rather than in a separate context of (1 + 3)-dimensions or (3 + 1)-dimensions. In fact, we show that by considering the duality concept in (4 + 4)-dimensions we may provide an alternative meaning of a framework for loop quantum gravity. Moreover, considering the Dirac equation in (4 + 4)-dimensions for a particle without electric charge and mass, we show that when it is projected into the (1 + 3) and (3 + 1)-worlds may describe a system with electric charge and mass. We also discuss the relation between the three physical scenarios;(4 + 4)-world, black-holes and dark matter.

Objective:To study antifungal activity of a new ellagitannin isolated from the plant residues of Euphorbia antisyphilitica(***)Zucc in the wax extraction ***:An extract was prepared from dehydrated and pulverized residues and fractionated by liquid chromatography on Amberilte XAD-16,until obtained an ellagitannin-rich ethanolic fraction which was treated by rotaevaporation to recover the ellagitannin as fine *** aqueous solution was prepared and treated through ionic exchange liquid chromatography(Q XL)and gel permeation chromatography(G 25).The ellagitannin-rich fraction was thermogravimetrically evaluated(TGA and DTA)to test the thermo-stability of ellagic acid(monomeric unit).Then ellagitannin powder was analyzed by infrared spectrospcopy to determinate the functional groups *** mass spectroscopy was used to determine the molecular ***:The principal functional groups of ellagitannin were determined,the molecular weight was 860.7 g/mol;and an effective antifungal activity against phytopathogenic fungi was ***:It can be concluded that the new ellagitannin(860.7 g/mol)isolated from *** Zucc is an effective antifungal agent against Alternaria alternata,Fusarium oxyzporum,colletotrichum gloeosporoides and Rhizoctnia solani.

A complex network of cellular receptors,RNA targeting pathways,and small-molecule signaling provides robust plant immunity and tolerance to *** maximize their fitness,viruses must evolve control mechanisms to balance host immune evasion and plant-damaging *** genus Potyvirus comprises plant viruses characterized by RNA genomes that encode large polyproteins led by the P1 protease.A P1 autoinhibitory domain controls polyprotein processing,the release of a downstream functional RNAsilencing suppressor,and viral ***,we show that P1Pro,a plum pox virus clone that lacks the P1 autoinhibitory domain,triggers complex reprogramming of the host transcriptome and high levels of abscisic acid(ABA)accumulation.A meta-analysis highlighted ABA connections with host pathways known to control RNA stability,turnover,maturation,and *** changes triggered by P1Pro infection or ABA showed similarities in host RNA abundance and *** and hormone treatment assays showed that ABA promotes plant resistance to potyviral ***,quantitative mathematical modeling of viral replication in the presence of defense pathways supported self-control of polyprotein processing kinetics as a viral mechanism that attenuates the magnitude of the host antiviral ***,our findings indicate that ABA is an active player in plant antiviral immunity,which is nonetheless evaded by a self-controlled RNA virus.

With defined culture protocol, human embryonic stem cells （hEScs） are able to generate cardiomyocytes in vitro, therefore providing a great model for human heart development, and holding great potential for car- diac disease therapies. In this study, we successfully generated a highly pure population of human cardio- myocytes （hcMs）（〉95% cTnT＋） from hESc line, which enabled us to identify and characterize an hcM-specific signature, at both the gene expression and DNA meth- ylation levels. Gene functional association network and gene-disease network analyses of these hcM-enriched genes provide new insights into the mechanisms of hcM transcriptional regulation, and stand as an informative and rich resource for investigating cardiac gene func- tions and disease mechanisms. Moreover, we show that cardiac-structural genes and cardiac-transcription fac- tors have distinct epigenetic mechanisms to regulate their gene expression, providing a better understandingof how the epigenetic machinery coordinates to regulate gene expression in different cell types.
