Influence of yeast on rumen fermentation,growth performance and quality of products in ruminants:A review

This review aims to give an overview of the efficacy of yeast supplementation on growth performance,rumen pH,rumen microbiota,and their relationship to meat and milk quality in *** practice of feeding high grain diets to ruminants in an effort to increase growth rate and weight gain usually results in excess deposition of saturated fatty acids in animal products and increased incidence of rumen *** supplementation of yeast at the right dose and viability level could counteract the acidotic effects of these high grain diets in the rumen and positively modify the fatty acid composition of animal *** exerts its actions by competing with lactate-producing(Streptococcus bovis and Lacto-bacillus)bacteria for available sugar and encouraging the growth of lactate-utilising bacteria(Mega-sphaera elsdenii).*** is known to convert lactate into butyrate and propionate leading to a decrease in the accumulation of lactate thereby resulting in higher rumen ***,this creates a conducive environment for the proliferation of vaccenic acid-producing bacteria(butyrivibrio fibrisolvens)and ciliate protozoa,both of which have been reported to increase the ruminal concentration of trans-11 and cis-9,trans-11-conjugated linoleic acid(CLA)at a pH range between 5.6 and *** addition of yeast into the diet of ruminants has also been reported to positively modify rumen biohydrogenation pathway to synthesise more of the beneficial biohydrogenation intermediates(trans-11 and cis-9,trans-11).This implies that more dietary sources of linoleic acid,linolenic acid,and oleic acid along with beneficial biohydrogenation intermediates(cis-9,trans-11-CLA,and trans-11)would escape complete bio-hydrogenation in the rumen to be absorbed into milk and ***,further studies are required to substantiate our ***,techniques like transcriptomics should be employed to identify the mRNA transcript expression levels of genes like stearoyl-CoA des

Robust Half-Metallicity in a Chromium-Substituted AlN

We investigate half metallicity in a chromium(Cr)-substituted AlN dilute magnetic semiconductor using the full-potential linearized augmented plane-wave *** results show that Al_(0.75)Cr_(0.25)N is half metal and holds a net integer magnetic moment of 3μβwith lattice *** half−metallic nature is maintained from the relaxed lattice constant 4.36Åto 4.09Å.An abrupt change of the physical properties is observed at a robust transition lattice constant of 4.09Å,and the material transforms from half metal to *** find that up to 6%compression,the material maintains its half-metallic ***,we also confirm that the origin of ferromagnetism in Al_(0.75)Cr_(0.25)N is double exchange.

Optoelectronic Response of GeZn_(2)O_(4) through the Modified becke-Johnson Potential

A first-principles technique capable of describing the nearly excited states of semiconductors and insulators,namely the modified becke–Johnson(mbJ)potential approximation,is used to investigate the electronic band structure and optical properties of spinel oxides:GeZn_(2)O_(4).The predicted band gaps using the mbJ approximation are significantly more accurate than the proposed previous theoretical work using the common LDA and *** gap dependent optical parameters,like the dielectric constant,index of refraction,reflectivity and optical conductivity are calculated and *** results from the dielectric constant shows that the numerical value of the static dielectric,after dropping constantly,becomes less than zero and the material exhibits metallic *** refractive index also drops below unity for photons higher than 18 eV,which indicates that the velocities of incident photons are greater than the velocity of ***,these phenomena can be explained by the fact that a signal must be transmitted as a wave packet rather than a monochromatic *** comprehensive theoretical study of the optoelectronic properties predicts that these materials can effectively be used in optical devices.

This study investigates the efficacy of sodium alginate(SA),xanthan gum(XG),guar gum(GG)and chitosan(CS)d each applied at five different solid biopolymer-to-water mass ratios(or dosages)and cured for 7 d and 28 d d on the unconfined compressive strength(UCS)performance of a high plasticity clayey ***,on identifying the optimum biopolymer-treatment scenarios,their performance was compared against conventional stabilization using hydrated *** a given curing time,the UCS for all biopolymers followed a riseefall trend with increasing biopolymer dosage,peaking at an optimum dosage and then subsequently decreasing,such that all biopolymer-stabilized samples mobilized higher UCS values compared to the unamended *** optimum dosage was found to be 1.5%for SA,XG and CS,while a notably lower dosage of 0.5%was deemed optimum for ***,for a given biopolymer type and dosage,increasing the curing time from 7 d to 28 d further enhanced the UCS,with the achieved improvements being generally more pronounced for XG-and CS-treated *** of the investigated biopolymers was able to produce UCS improvements equivalent to those obtained by the 28-d soilelime samples;however,the optimum XG,GG and CS dosages,particularly after 28 d of curing,were easily able to replicate 7-d lime stabilization outcomes achieved with as high as twice the soil’s lime ***,the fundamental principles of clay chemistry,in conjunction with the soil mechanics framework,were employed to identify and discuss the clayebiopolymer stabilization mechanisms.

Numerical study of flow and thermal characteristics of pulsed impinging jet on a dimpled surface

This research comprehensively investigates the flow and thermal characteristics of a pulsating impinging jet over a dimpled *** analyzes the impact of key parameters(e.g.,inlet velocity pulsation functions,pulsation frequency,amplitude,dimple pitch,dimple depth,Reynolds number)on flow patterns and heat *** computational fluid dynamics and the Re-normalization group turbulence model are employed to accurately simulate complex turbulent flow *** and average heat transfer coefficients are calculated and compared to steady impingement cases,revealing the potential benefits of pulsation for heat transfer *** study also examines how pulsation-induced flow modulation and thermal mixing affect heat transfer *** indicate that combining fluctuating flow with a dimpled surface can improve heat transfer *** summary,increasing pulsation amplitude consistently enhances heat transfer,while the effect of frequency varies between impinging and wall jet zones.

Moreover, clinical and preclinical evidence demonstrates that peroxisomal proliferator activating receptors(PPAR) agonists regulate energy and lipid homeostasis in models of diabetes, as well as improve spatial memory in animal models of AD(Khan et al., 2019).

TFN-FICFM:sEMG-based Gesture Recognition Using Temporal Fusion Network and Fuzzy Integral-based Classifier Fusion

Surface electromyography(sEMG)-based gesture recognition is a key technology in the field of human–computer ***,existing gesture recognition methods face challenges in effectively integrating discriminative temporal feature representations from sEMG *** this paper,we propose a deep learning framework named TFN-FICFM comprises a Temporal Fusion Network(TFN)and Fuzzy Integral-based Classifier Fusion method(FICFM)to improve the accuracy and robustness of gesture ***,we design a TFN module,which utilizes an attention-based recurrent multi-scale convolutional module to acquire multi-level temporal feature representations and achieves deep fusion of temporal features through a feature pyramid ***,the deep-fused temporal features are utilized to generate multiple sets of gesture category prediction confidences through a feedback ***,we employ FICFM to perform fuzzy fusion on prediction confidences,resulting in the ultimate *** study conducts extensive comparisons and ablation studies using the publicly available datasets Ninapro Db2 and *** demonstrate that the TFN-FICFM model outperforms state-of-the-art methods in classification *** research can serve as a benchmark for sEMG-based gesture recognition and related deep learning modeling.

Over the past years,many efforts have been accomplished to achieve fast and accurate meta-heuristic algorithms to optimize a variety of real-world *** study presents a new optimization method based on an unusual geological phenomenon in nature,named Geyser inspired Algorithm(GEA).The mathematical modeling of this geological phenomenon is carried out to have a better understanding of the optimization *** efficiency and accuracy of GEA are verified using statistical examination and convergence rate comparison on numerous CEC 2005,CEC 2014,CEC 2017,and real-parameter benchmark ***,GEA has been applied to several real-parameter engineering optimization problems to evaluate its *** addition,to demonstrate the applicability and robustness of GEA,a comprehensive investigation is performed for a fair comparison with other standard optimization *** results demonstrate that GEA is noticeably prosperous in reaching the optimal solutions with a high convergence rate in comparison with other well-known nature-inspired algorithms,including AbC,bbO,PSO,and *** that the source code of the GEA is publicly available at https://***/projects/gea.

Tuning structural,electrical,dielectric and magnetic properties of Mg-Cu-Co ferrites via dysprosium(Dy^(3+))doping

In current research work,Dy3+substituted Mg0.5Cu0.25Co0.25Fe2-xDyxO4(0.0≤x≤0.04 with the step interval of 0.01)soft ferrites were synthesized by the sol-gel auto combustion *** prepared samples were characterized by the techniques using X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDS),Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)spectroscopy,curre nt-voltage(Ⅰ-Ⅴ)measurement,LCR meter,vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM)and *** data reveal that the average crystallite size is 49.71 nm and the lattice constant is 0.83703 nm for sample x=*** non-uniform grain growth was demonstrated by micrographs and impurity-free elemental composition was observed from EDX *** DC resistivity has an increasing and decreasing trend in ferromagnetic and paramagnetic regions with an increase in ***,the high resistivity is observed with the order of 1010Ω·cm,and the activation energy is 0.944 eV for samples x=*** dielectric parameters including dielectric constant,dielectric losses,and impedance gradually decrease with the increase in frequency from 8 Hz to 8 *** minimum dielectric loss at high frequency is found for sample x=*** coercivity(Hc)and saturation magnetization(Ms)are found in the ranges of 520.82-544.02 Oe and 20.5841-21.1473 emu/g,*** observations confirm that dysprosium(x=0.03)doped MCC-soft ferrites may be applicable in transformer cores,microwave absorbance,and telecommunication devices.

Corneal diseases,the second leading cause of global vision loss affecting over 10.5 million people,underscores the unmet demand for corneal tissue *** the scarcity of fresh donor corneas and the associated risks of immune rejection,corneal tissue engineering becomes *** nanofibrous scaffolds that mimic the natural corneal structure is crucial for creating transparent and mechanically robust corneal equivalents in tissue ***,Aloe Vera Extract(AVE)/Polycaprolactone(PCL)nanofibrous scaffolds were primed using *** electrospun AVE/PCL fibers exhibit a smooth,bead-free morphology with a mean diameter of approximately 340±95 nm and appropriate light *** measurements reveal Young’s modulus and ultimate tensile strength values of around 3.34 MPa and 4.58 MPa,respectively,within the range of stromal *** addition,cell viability of AVE/PCL fibers was measured against Human Stromal Keratocyte Cells(HSKCs),and improved cell viability was *** cell-fiber interactions were investigated using scanning electron *** conclusion,the incorporation of Aloe Vera Extract enhances the mechanical,optical,hydrophilic,and biological properties of PCL fibers,positioning PCL/AVE fiber scaffolds as promising candidates for corneal stromal regeneration.
