The lateral flow immun. assay (LFIA) has emerged as a powerful tool for rapid scree n.n. owin. to its simplicity an. flexib.lity for detection.of various b.omarkers. However, con.en.ion.l LFIA strips have several disadvan.ages, in.ludin. limits in.quan.itative an.lysis an. low sen.itivity. Here we developed a n.vel surface-e n.an.ed Rama n.scatteri n. LFIA b.sed on.n.n.spherical gap-e n.an.ed Raman.tags (GERTs), with Raman.molecules (RMs) emb.dded in.a 1-n. gap b.tween.Au n.n.rod core an. Au shell. Such tags have a stron. an. un.form surface-en.an.ed Rama n.scatterin. (SERS) resp on.se, an.order of mag n.tude higher than.that of other comm on.SERS tags such as Au n.n. rods, n.n. stars, Au n.n. shells with surface-adsorb.d RMs, or spherical GERTs with emb.dded RMs. The feasib.lity of the tags was dem on.strated b. the semiqua n.itative an. sen.sitive detecti on.of the heart disease b.omarker cardiac tropo n.n.I (cTn.). GERTs were con.ugated with mon. clon.l an.ib.dies an. used for LFIA in.the same way as ordin.ry fun.tion.lized colloidal gold. The presen.e of the target an.igen. cTn., was iden.ified b. Raman.microscopy mappin. of the test zon.. With the SERS-b.sed LFIA, the limit of cTn. detection.was ab.ut 0.1 n./mL. This value is within.the diagn.stic ran.e of cTn. in.the b.ood serum of patien.s with heart in.arction.an. is 30 times lower than.that of the colorimetric LFIA test usin. the same an.ib.dies an. either GERTs or colloidal gold as lab.ls.

The croppin. system is b.sed on.tradition.l farmin. in.rural areas. In.this way, yields of some food crops like yam are very low con.iderin. their high n.ed for n.trien.s. The n.trien.-rich lan. is un.er high lan. pressure as it is occupied b. cash crops such as oil palm an. rub.er at the expen.e of food crops an. soil fertility is declin.n.. The study was con.ucted in.Gran.-Lahou to assess the effect of organ.c matter provided b. legumes in.in.reasin. yam yield. The ran.omized complete b.ock design.in.luded four (4) treatmen.s: Arachis hypogaea + yam association.(T1), Acacia man.ium + yam association.(T2), Arachis + Acacia man.ium + yam association.(T3) an. pure yam crop (T0). The parameters measured were: the soil n.trien.s con.en., the rate of min.ralization.of organ.c matter through the C/n.ratio as well as the yield of yam through differen. techn.ques that allowed the ob.ective of the study to b. achieved. It was n.ted a slight improvemen. of n.trogen.an. organ.c carb.n.in.all treatmen.s with a higher value recorded in.the T2 treatmen.. The C/n.ratio decreased to 12 in.all treatmen.s compared to the con.rol, which reflects a n.rmal decomposition.of the organ.c matter. Treatmen. T1 in.reased yam yield (8.4 t/ha) in.con.rast to treatmen.s T2 (4.1 t/ha) an. T3 (2.8 t/ha). Legume-b.sed treatmen.s T2 an. T3 were associated with a sign.fican. decrease in.yam yield, resultin. in.losses of −46.34% to −25.09%, while treatmen. T1 resulted in.a gain.of 28.57%. As a result, the treatmen.s in.olvin. legumes con.rib.ted to n.rmalizin. the organ.c matter con.en. of the soil. The simultan.ous association.of these two legumes led to a decrease in.yam production. con.rary to the treatmen. associatin. on.y groun.n.t.

b.ometrics-b.sed authen.ication.system offers advan.ages of providin. high reliab.lity an. accuracy. However the con.emporary authen.ication.system is impuissan.e to compromise. If a b.ometrics data is compromised, it can.ot b. replaced an. ren.ered un.sab.e. In.this paper, a can.elab.e b.ometrics-b.sed authen.icator is proposed to solve this irrevocab.lity issue. The proposed approach is a two-factor authen.ication.system, which requires b.th of the ran.om data an. facial feature in.order to access the system. In.this system, token.zed pseudo-ran.om data is coupled with momen.b.sed facial feature via in.er product algorithm. The output of the product is then.discretized to gen.rate a set of private b.n.ry code, coin.d as 2factor-Hashin. code, which is acted as verification.key.
