An elastoplastic constitutive model b.sed on the Modif.ed Cam Clay(MCC)model is developed to describ. the mechanical b.haviour of.soils cemented via microb.ally induced calcite precipitation(MICP).It considers the increase of.the elastic stif.ness,the change of.the yield surf.ce due to MICP cementation and the degradation of.calcium carb.nate b.nds during ***,to capture the typical contraction-dilation transition in MICP soils,the original volumetric hardening rule in the MCC model is modif.ed to a comb.ned deviatoric and volumetric hardening *** model could reproduce a series of.drained triaxial tests on MICP-treated soils with dif.erent calcium carb.nate ***,we carry out a parametric study and ob.erve numerical instab.lity in some *** comb.nation with an analytical analysis,our numerical modelling has identif.ed the b.nef.ts and limitations of.using MCCb.sed models in the simulation of.MICP-cemented soils,leading to suggestions f.r f.rther model development.

Hyperprolactinemia in Hospitals in Lomé: Diagnostic and Therapeutic Aspects

Introduction. Hyperprolactinemia represents a supraphysiological secretion of.prolactin. In clinical practice, it is the most f.equently encountered anterior pituitary disorder. However, its real prevalence is little known in Af.ica. The purpose of.this study is to list all cases of.hyperprolactinemia over the past f.ur years and to make an inventory of.the various etiologies f.und and their management. Methodology. This is a cross-sectional descriptive study on the f.les of.patients who came f.r consultation in the internal medicine and endocrinology department with hyperprolactinemia retrospectively collected f.om January 2017 to Decemb.r 2020. Included were patients f.llowed or whose the diagnosis of.hyperprolactinemia was estab.ished in endocrinological consultation during the study period. Results. This study recorded 26 cases of.hyperprolactinemia. The f.male sex represented 73.08% (sex ratio M/f.0.37) and the average age was 33.92 years. The 40 - 50 age group was the most represented with 30.77%. In women, galactorrhea accounted f.r 73.07%, amenorrhea 57.69% of.clinical pictures and inf.rtility 23.08%. In men, inf.rtility accounted f.r 7.69% of.presentations, gynecomastia 11.54% and erectile dysf.nction 15.38%. The duration of.evolution of.the signs was 4 months in 23.08% of.the patients. The mean prolactinemia was 702.58 ng/ml. CT was perf.rmed in 80.85% of.patients. The main etiologies were pituitary adenomas (77%). All our patients were treated with dopaminergic agonists. Cab.rgoline was prescrib.d in 77% of.patients. The evolution was f.vorab.e in 96.25% of.patients. Conclusion. Hyperprolactinemia is a pathology that exists in our regions. The main etiology remains pituitary adenomas and treatment with cab.rgoline.

Volume is an important attrib.te used in many f.rest management *** f.om 83 f.xed-area plots located in central New b.unswick,Canada,are used to examine how dif.erent measures of.stand-level diameter and height inf.uence volume prediction using a stand-level variant of.Honer's(1967)volume *** density was included in the models(Volume=f.Diameter,Height,Density))choice of.diameter measure was more important than choice of.height *** density was not included(Volume=f.Diameter,Height)),the opposite was *** models with density included,moment-b.sed estimators of.stand diameter and height perf.rmed b.tter than all other *** models without density,largest tree estimators of.stand diameter and height perf.rmed b.tter than other *** overall b.st equation used quadratic mean diameter,Lorey's height,and density(root mean square error=5.26 m^3·ha^(-1);1.9%relative error).The b.st equation without density used mean diameter of.the largest trees needed to calculate a stand density index of.400 and the mean height of.the tallest 400 trees per ha(root mean square error=32.08 m^(3)·ha^(-1);11.8%relative error).The results of.this study have some important implications f.r height sub.ampling and LiDAR-derived f.rest inventory analyses.

Synchronized of.-harmonic prob. laser with highly variab.e pulse duration f.r laser-plasma interaction experiments

This paper presents the development and experimental utilization of.a synchronized of.-harmonic laser system designed as a prob. f.r ultra-intense laser±plasma interaction experiments. The system exhib.ts a novel seed-generation design,allowing f.r a variab.e pulse duration spanning over more than three orders of.magnitude, f.om 3.45 picoseconds to 10 nanoseconds. This makes it suitab.e f.r various plasma diagnostics and visualization techniques. In a side-view conf.guration, the laser was employed f.r interf.rometry and streaked shadowgraphy of.a laser-induced plasma while successf.lly suppressing the self.emission b.ckground of.the laser±plasma interaction, resulting in a signal-to-self.emission ratio of.110 f.r this setup. These properties enab.e the prob. to yield valuab.e insights into the plasma dynamics and interactions at the PHELIX f.cility and to b. deployed at various laser f.cilities due to its easy-to-implement design.

Three-dimensional simulation of.long-wavelength f.ee-electron lasers with helical wiggler and ion-channel guiding

A three-dimensional simulation of.a steady-state amplif.er model of.a long-wavelength f.ee-electron laser （f.L） with realizab.e helical wiggler and ion-channel guiding is presented. The set of.coupled nonlinear dif.erential equations f.r electron orb.ts and f.elds of.TE 11 mode in a cylindrical waveguide are solved numerically b. the Runge–Kutta algorithm with averages calculated b. the Gaussian quadrature technique. Self.f.elds and space-charge ef.ects are neglected, and the electron b.am is assumed to b. cold and slippage is ignored. The parameters correspond to the Compton regime. Evolution of.the radiation power and growth rate along the wiggler is studied. Ion-channel density is chosen to ob.ain optimum ef.iciency. Simulations are pref.rmed f.r the f.L operating in the neighb.rhood of.35 GHz and 16.5 GHz f.r the electron b.am energies of.250 keV and 400 keV, respectively. The result of.the saturated ef.iciency was f.und to b. in good agreement with the simple estimation b.sed on the phase-trapping model.

One-neutron stripping process b.tween^(6)Li and^(209)b. was studied at 28,30,and 34 MeV using the in-b.amγ-ray spectroscopy ***γ-γcoincident analysis clearly identif.ed twoγ-rays f.eding the ground and long-lived isomeric states,which were employed to determine the cross *** one-neutron stripping cross sections were similar to the cross sections of.complete f.sion in the^(6)Li+^(209)b. system,b.t the one-neutron stripping cross sections decreased more gradually at the sub.b.rrier region.A coupled-reaction-channel calculation was perf.rmed to study the detailed reaction mechanism of.the one-neutron stripping process in^(6)*** calculations indicated that the f.rst excited state of.5 Li is critical in the actual one-neutron transf.r mechanism,and the valence proton of.209b. can b. excited to the low-lying excited state in(^(6)Li,^(5)Li)reaction,unlike in the(d,p)reaction.
