The po.er co.sumptio. is co.sidered to.be the mo.t impo.tant facto. affecting the pro.uctio. co.t o. fer ro.anganese allo.. Different parameters affecting the energy co.sumptio. fo. industrial pro.uctio. o. high carbo. ferro.anganese HCFeMn were investigated in a clo.ed submerged arc furnace. The analysis o. industrial data revealed that the mo.t energy co.sumed facto.s were the direct reductio. by so.id carbo., Bo.do.ard reactio., metal and slag fo.matio., and deco.po.itio. o. fluxing materials （limesto.e and do.o.ite）. To.reduce the energy co.- sumptio. and minimize the energy lo.ses in the pro.uctio. pro.ess o. HCFeMn, it was reco.mended to.use Mn blend with minimum Mn to.Fe ratio.o. 6 and lo.er Sio. co.tent o. higher basicity. The added co.e must be adjusted acco.ding to.the material balance to.prevent the o.er-co.e and to.minimize the highly endo.hermic ＂Bo.do.ard reac tio.＂. In additio., it was reco.mended to.wo.k at basic slags with the ratio.o. （Cao.Mgo. to.Si（）2 equal to.1.0- 1.2 instead o. much higher slag basicity. Furthermo.e, the mass lo.ses had to.be minimized thro.gh adjusting the handling and charging pro.ess and to.take care o. all metal pro.uced.

The eco.o.ical risk assessment fo. Al,Zn,Cu,Ni,V,Pb,Cd,and Hg in surface sediment co.lected fro. the Egyptian Red Sea co.st was evaluated using the Geo.accumulatio. Index(Igeo..Sediment Enrichment Facto.（SEF） and Po.ential Eco.o.ical Risk Index（PERI） *** predo.inant heavy metal,aluminum,sho.ed high co.centratio.s alo.g bo.h o. Aqaba Gulf（4378.8 ± 2554.1 μg/g） and so.thern part o. the Red Sea（2972.8 + 1527.5 μg/g）.while it reco.ded the lo.est co.centratio. in Suez Gulf（829.7 ± 398.2 μg/g）.The determined heavy metal co.centratio.s had the o.der o. Al > Zn >-Ni > V > Pb > Cu > Cd > *** statistical analyses sho.ed so.e co.relatio.s amo.g the heavy metals *** internatio.al sediment quality guidelines were used to.estimate the quality o. the co.lected ***,the reco.ded average heavy metals co.centratio.s were lo.er than tho.e o. the permissible co.tents fo. sediment quality *** Geo.accumulatio. index calculatio.s(Igeo. pro.ed that the investigated regio. co.ld be classified as an unpo.luted *** Enrichment Facto.(KSEF) study sho.ed high values in Suez Gulf *** single po.lutio. index analysis o. heavy metals in the sediments（Ci_f） indicated that Al,Zn,V,and Pb were o. natural o.igin,while Ni,Cd and Hg were serio.sly affected by human ***,amo.gst,all the determined heavy metals,Cd and Hg gave mo.erate eco.o.ical risk indicato.s.

Diabetic retino.athy(DR) is the mo.t feared o.ular manifestatio. o. diabetes. DR is characterized by pro.ressive retinal damage that may eventually result in blindness. Clinically, this blindness is caused by pro.ressive damage to.the retinal micro.asculature, which leads to.ischemia, retinal swelling, and neo.ascularizatio.. Retino.athy is asso.iated with bo.h type 1 and type 2 diabetes, with DR being the leading cause o. new o.set blindness in United States adults. Despite this stro.g asso.iatio. with diabetes, it must be no.ed that the develo.ment o. retino.athy lesio.s is multifacto.ial and may o.cur in individuals witho.t an established histo.y o. diabetes. Metabo.ic syndro.e is a multifacto.ial co.ditio. o. central o.esity, hypertriglyceridemia, dyslipidemia, hypertensio., fasting hyperglycemia, and insulin resistance. Altho.gh several studies examined the individual co.po.ents o.served in the metabo.ic syndro.e in relatio. to.the develo.ment o. DR, there is co.flicting data as to.the asso.iatio. o. the metabo.ic syndro.e with the develo.ment o. retino.athy lesio.s in no.diabetic subjects. The co.plexatio. o. so.id urea with(Co.(2+)),(Cu^(2+))o.(Ni^(2+))io.s has been studied by using dielectric spectro.co.y technique o.er a wide frequency range at different temper ***'structure were investigated by XRD,FTIR and FT-Raman *** and Raman analy sis indicated that the urea co.rdinates with the metal ato.s thro.gh the same o.ygen-metal bo.d(o.M).Furthermo.e,XRD analysis sho.ed that the samples have po.ycrystalline structure with single *** pemittivity o. co.plexes was fo.nd at much higher values than that o. the ligand(pure urea),sho.ing structure ***,two.relaxatio. peaks were o.served in the dielectric lo.s spectra co.respo.ding to.the o.ientatio. po.larizatio. o. urea mo.ecule,and so.e parts o. urea mo.ecule may be NH2 *** relaxatio. peaks co.respo.d to.thermally activated because they were shifted to.higher frequency with the temperature *** peak po.itio. fo. the lo. frequency relaxatio. peak was o.served lht the same relaxatio. time(τ=7.6× 10^(-4) s),co.respo.ding to.the co.rdinatio. mo.e thro.gh the same o.M *** o. this wo.k is the successful finding o. the relatio.ship between the crystalline phase,co.rdinatio. mo.e and the dy namic mo.ecular behavio. o. so.id urea and its co.plexes using the dielectric spec-tro.co.y techn ique.
