AIM:To evaluate the levels of preoperative serum matrix metalloproteinase-1 (MMP-1) and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase-1 (TIMP-1) in gastric ***:One hundred gastric cancer patients who underwent gastrectomy were enrolled in this *** serum concentrations of MMP-1 and TIMP-1 in these patients and in fifty healthy controls were determined using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent ***:Higher serum MMP-1 and TIMP-1 levels were observed in patients than in controls (P serum MMP-1 and TIMP-1 levels were positively associated with morphological appearance,tumor size,depth of wall invasion,lymph node metastasis,liver metastasis,perineural invasion,and pathological *** were not significantly associated with age,gender,tumor location,or histological ***:Increased MMP-1 and TIMP-1 were associated with gastric *** these markers are not good markers for diagnosis,these markers show in advanced gastric cancer.

Calcium(Ca2+) is an essential nutrient and a cellular signal in plants. The level of free Ca2+in the apoplast is ～10,000-fold higher than that in the cytoplasm at the resting state. This large Ca2+level gradient across the membrane between the interior and exterior can cause Ca2+overload and toxicity. Plants have evolved mechanisms to export Ca2+out of the cytoplasm or store it in intracellular organelles, such as endoplasmic reticulum（ER）, mitochondria, and vacuole.

In the light of great importance of curves and their frames in many differentbranches of science, especially differential geometry as well as geometric properties andthe uses in various fields, we are interested here to study a special kind of curves calledsmarandache curves in Lorentz 3-space. Then, we present some characterizations for thesecurves and calculate their Darboux invariants. Moreover, we classify TP, TU, PU andTPU-smarandache curves of a spacelike curve according to the causal character of thevector, curve and surface used in the study. Besides, we give some of differential geometricproperties and important relations between that curves. Finally, to demonstrate ourtheoretical results a computational example is given with graph.

A facile approach was developed to construct Fe_(2)O_(3)-modified ZnO micro/nanostructures with excellent superhydrophobicity and photocatalytic *** effects of stearic acid(sA)and Fe_(2)O_(3) on the morphological characteristics,water contact angle(WCA),and photocatalytic degradation were *** results showed that WCA increased from 144°±2°to 154°±2°when the weight of sA increased from 5 to 20 mg because of the formation of a hierarchical or rough ***,Fe_(2)O_(3)-modified ZnO micro/nanostructure surfaces before and after sA treatment(20 mg)were chosen to evaluate the photodegradation of methylene blue(MB)dye under the support of visible *** degraded after 80 min of irradiation,and its photodegradation efficiencies were 91.5%at the superhydrophobic state and 92%at the hydrophilic *** improvement in photocatalytic activity at both states might be attributed to an increase in surface area and improvement in charge carrier separation.

In this work,we have explored wormhole(WH)solutions in F(R,L_(m))gravity by assuming the Morris-Thorne WH metric and F(R,Lm)=R/2+(1+γR)L_(m),whereγis the free model *** determined the WH solutions by utilizing two newly developed shape functions(sF)that satisfy all basic conditions for a WH’s physical *** also observe that the null energy condition(NEC)behaves ***,for both models,we use the volume integral quantifier(VIQ)and Tolman-Oppenheimer-Volkoff(TOV)equation to determine how much exotic matter is needed near the WH throat and the stability of the *** extensive detailed discussions of the matter components have been done via graphical *** obtained WH geometries meet the physically acceptable conditions for a stable wormhole.

This study describes the adsorption behavior of three arylthiophene derivatives namely:2-(4-amidino-3-fluorophenyl)-5-[4-methoxy phenyl] thiophene dihydrochloride salt(MA-1217),2-(4-amidinophenyl)-5-[4-chlorophenyll thiophene dihydrochloride salt(MA-1316) and 2-(4-amidino-3-fluorophenyl)-5-[4-ch lorophenyllthiophene dihydrochloride salt(MA-1312) at C-steel in 1.0 mol·L^(-1) HCl interface using experimental and theoretical *** and mass loss measurements showed that the inhibition efficiency(IE) of the arylthiophene derivatives increases with increasing concentrations and exhibited maximum efficiency 89% at 21×10^(-6) mol·L^(-1)(MA-1217) by mass loss *** investigated arylthiophene derivatives obey the Langmuir adsorption *** polarization studies the arylthiophene derivatives act as mixed-type *** analysis were carried out and *** mode of orientation and adsorption of inhibitor molecules on C-steel surface was studied using molecular dynamics(MD) *** chemical parameters as well as the radial distribution function indices and binding energies confirm the experimental results.

The structure and thermal parameters of Ni20Pd80 alloy were studied by X-ray diffraction（XRD）. The diffraction experiments performed in the temperature range of 308-1100 K revealed that the alloy formed a face centered cubic （fcc） Al-type structure. The temperature dependence of the lattice parameters was investigated by using the Bragg line displacement method showing that the lattice parameter increases with the increase of temperature. The mean linear thermal expansion （MLTE（%））, coefficient of thermal expansion （CTE, α）, the characteristic Debye temperature （（θD） and mean square amplitudes of vibration were determined from XRD data. The value of Debye temperature was found to be 253 K. It was found that temperature factor was independent of the static displacements.

In this paper, we present a mathematical model that describes tumor-normal cells inter- action dynamics focusing on role of drugs in treatment of brain tumors. The goal is to predict distribution and necessary quantity of drugs delivered in drug-therapy by using optimal control framework. The model describes interactions of tumor and normal cells using a system of reactions^diffusion equations involving the drug concentration, tumor cells and normal tissues. The control estimates simultaneously blood perfusion rate, reabsorption rate of drug and drug dosage administered, which affect the effects of brain tumor chemotherapy. First, we develop mathematical framework which mod- els the competition between tumor and normal cells under chemotherapy constraints. Then, existence, uniqueness and regularity of solution of state equations are proved as well as stability results. Afterwards, optimal control problems are formulated in order to minimize the drug delivery and tumor cell burden in different situations. We show existence and uniqueness of optimal solution, and we derive necessary conditions for optimality. Finally, to solve numerically optimal control and optimization problems, we propose and investigate an adjoint multiple-relaxation-time lattice Boltzmann method for a general nonlinear coupled anisotropic convection-diffusion system （which includes the developed model for brain tumor targeted drug delivery system）.
