In plants,the lysine and histidine transporter(LHT)family represent a class of proteins that mediate the uptake,translocation,and utilization of amino *** tea plant(Camellia sinensis)is a perennial evergreen with a relatively high level of amino ***,systematic identification and molecular characterization of the LHT gene family has rarely been reported in tea *** this study,22 CsLHTs were identified from the‘Shuchazao’genome and classified into two *** modeled three-dimensional structure and the conserved domains presented a high similarity among the LHTs ***,it was predicted that a few genes were conserved through the analysis of the physiochemical characters,structures and cis-elements in *** expression patterns in tea plants revealed that CsLHT7 was mainly expressed in the roots,and CsLHT4 and CsLHT11 exhibited relatively high expression in both the roots and ***,the expression of all three genes could be induced by organic ***,heterogeneous expression of CsLHT4,CsLHT7 and CsLHT11 in Arabidopsis thaliana decreased the aerial parts biomass compared with that in WT plants while significantly increased the rosette biomass only for CsLHT11transgenic plants versus WT ***,our results provide fundamental information about CsLHTs and potential genes in n utilization for further analysis in tea plants.

Background Forest ecosystems undergo significant transformations due to harvesting and climate fluctuations, emphasizing the critical role of seeding in natural regeneration and long-term structural preservation. Climate change further amplifies these dynamics, affecting phenology across species and regions. In Tierra del Fuego(Argentina), nothofagus pumilio(lenga) forests represent the most important timber resource, and it is managed through different silvicultural strategies. This species demonstrates notable post-disturbance regeneration, yet seed fall exhibits signifi-cant variability, leading to variations in seed quality(e.g., viability). This study aims to assess fluctuations in n. pumilio seed quality, determine how it varies concerning forest management strategies, annual productivity, and the co-occurrence of climatic phenomena including el ni?o-Southern Oscillation(enSO) and the Southern Annular Mode(SAM).Results Viable seeds represented 18.4% of the total, notably higher in unharvested than in managed areas. Con-versely, empty seeds were more prevalent in harvested areas(> 75%). Seed quality exhibited significant differences across silvicultural treatments, except for insect-predated seeds, which had similar proportions across all areas, though dispersed retention showed higher predation. When considering years with varying production levels, high-production years favoured full and viable seeds, particularly in unharvested forests and aggregated retention, while low-production years saw reduced viability across all treatments. Quadratic models revealed that viability increased with seed production, where unharvested forests achieved the highest values. Climate variability influenced seed proportions, where enSO+/SAM+ promoting more full and viable seeds, while enSO–/SAM+ favoured non-predated seeds, especially in unharvested *** Seed quality varies among treatments and years with different levels of seeding. Pattern of Failure and Treatment Results in Triple negative Breast Cancer Patients

Background: Triple negative breast cancer (TnBC) tends to present aggressively with rapid progression and poor survival. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed patients’ files to define TnBC patients’ characteristics, predictive and prognostic factors, pattern of recurrence and survival. Results: 965 cases were identified. 147 patients (15.2%) were TnBC. 71.1% patients were premenopausal. T2, T3, T4 tumors represented 46.1%, 32% and 14.1%, respectively. n0, n1, n2, n3 disease represented 18.5%, 50.9%, 27.8% and 2.8%, respectively. Stages II, III & IV constituted 34.1%, 44.2% and 15.5%, respectively. 31.5% patients received neoadjuvant chemotherapy with 17.7% complete pathological response. 19.5%, 35.9%, 44.6% patients had unknown, ≤20 and >20 Ki67, respectively. Among non-metastatic patients (n = 108), 21.3% patients developed relapse with median time to relapse of 11 months. 78.3% of them had visceral (88.3% lung) metastasis, 13% bone metastasis, 21.7% brain metastasis and 13% LRR. There is significantly high risk of relapse in patients with large tumor size [T4: 66.75%, T3: 22.9%, T2: 16.7%, T1: 0% (p = 0.002)], positive Lns [n3: 100%, n2: 37.9%, n1: 15.1%, n0: 4.3% (p 0.001)] and Ki67 [>20: 31.6% versus 10.8% for Ki67 ≤ 20 (P = 0.007)]. Multivariate analysis revealed only T4 and n2-3 were significantly associated with high probability for relapse (P = 0.022 & 0.038). The 3-year DFS and OS were 73.2% and 75% respectively. For metastatic patients (n = 20), the m PFS was 7 months and m OS 1.5 years. Conclusion: Our data confirms the aggressive nature of TnBC with significant risk of relapse for patients with large tumor and positive lymph nodes. Maintenance metronomic capecitabine, neoadjuvant/adjuvant immunotherapy could be beneficial for non-metastatic patients. Two-dimensional(2D)transition metal dichalcogenides(TMD)are atomically thin semiconductors with promising optoelectronic applications across the visible ***,their intrinsically weak light absorption and the low photoluminescence quantum yield(PLQY)restrict their performance and potential use,especially in ultraviolet(UV)wavelength light *** dots(QD)derived from 2D materials(2D/QD)provide efficient light absorption and emission of which energy can be tuned for desirable light *** this study,we greatly enhanced the photon absorption and PLQY of monolayer(1L)tungsten disulfide(WS_(2))in the UV range via hybridization with 2D/QD,particularly titanium nitride MXene QD(Ti_(2)n MQD)and graphitic carbon nitride QD(GCnQD).With the hybridization of MQD or GCnQD,1LWS_(2)showed a maximum PL enhancement by 15 times with 300 nm wavelength excitation,while no noticeable enhancement was observed when the excitation photon energy was less than the bandgap of the QD,indicating that UV absorption by the QD played a crucial role in enhancing the light emission of 1L-WS_(2)in our 0D/2D hybrid *** findings present a convenient method for enhancing the photo-response of 1L-WS_(2)to UV light and offer exciting possibilities for harvesting UV energy using 1L-TMD.

The prevalence of obesity has increased and is a health concern *** to the concerns regarding synthetic anti-obesity treatments,nowadays natural products become a *** studies proved that there is a potential to use marine algae as anti-obesity ***,in this study,the lipid inhibitory effect of crude polysaccharide of amyloglucosidase-assisted hydrolysate from Sargassum thunbergii(STAC)and its fucoidan fractions(STAFs)on 3T3-L1 cells and high-fat diet(HFD)-induced obese mice were *** to the results,the STAF3,showed the highest xylose content and exhibited significant inhibitory effects on lipid accumulation by downregulating adipogenic and lipogenic proteins in 3T3-L1 ***,oral supplementation with STAC significantly declined gain in body weight and fat weight,and serum lipid contents in an HFD-induced obesity mouse *** and chemical characterizations demonstrated that puritied STAF3 has consistent surface morphology and small particle size,with similar structural characteristics as commercial ***,these results indicate that STAC and purified STAF3 from Sargassum thunbergia is a potent source to develop as ananti-obesity agents or functional food products to counter obesity.

本文介绍群体饲养生命表的资料分析基本原理及转换为个体生命表的方法。群体饲养生命表的记录实际上即年龄-龄期两性生命表的n矩阵,而每日所有雌虫的总繁殖记录即为Ftotal矩阵。利用n矩阵与Ftotal矩阵可以计算S矩阵、F矩阵及各种群参数。以桃蚜Myzus persicae和马铃薯块茎蛾Phthorimaea operculella为例,阐明群体饲养生命表分析的理论依据,证明群体饲养生命表得到的各项参数可靠,并介绍了一种将群体饲养生命表转化为个体生命表的方法。比较了群体饲养生命表和个体饲养生命表的特点。利用群体饲养研究昆虫生命表可以节省大量人力、时间与经费,群体饲养生命表可用于设计大量饲养生物防治天敌、鱼与鸟的饲料昆虫以及可供人类食用的昆虫。

neCAB family of neuronal calcium-binding proteins in health and disease

The n-terminal eF-hand calcium-binding proteins 1–3(neCAB1–3) constitute a family of predominantly neuronal proteins characterized by the presence of at least one eF-hand calcium-binding domain and a functionally less well characterized C-terminal antibiotic biosynthesis monooxygenase domain. All three family members were initially discovered due to their interactions with other proteins. neCAB1 associates with synaptotagmin-1, a critical neuronal protein involved in membrane trafficking and synaptic vesicle exocytosis. neCAB2 interacts with predominantly striatal G-protein-coupled receptors, while neCAB3 partners with amyloid-β A4 precursor protein-binding family A members 2 and 3, key regulators of amyloid-β production. This demonstrates the capacity of the family for interactions with various classes of proteins. neCAB proteins exhibit distinct subcellular localizations: neCAB1 is found in the nucleus and cytosol, neCAB2 resides in endosomes and the plasma membrane, and neCAB3 is present in the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi apparatus. The antibiotic biosynthesis monooxygenase domain, an evolutionarily ancient component, is akin to atypical heme oxygenases in prokaryotes but is not wellcharacterized in vertebrates. Prokaryotic antibiotic biosynthesis monooxygenase domains typically form dimers, suggesting that calcium-mediated conformational changes in neCAB proteins may induce antibiotic biosynthesis monooxygenase domain dimerization, potentially activating some enzymatic properties. However, the substrate for this enzymatic activity remains uncertain. Alternatively, calcium-mediated conformational changes might influence protein interactions or the subcellular localization of neCAB proteins by controlling the availability of protein–protein interaction domains situated between the eF hands and the antibiotic biosynthesis monooxygenase domain.
