Recycled steel fiber reinforced concrete is an innovative construction material that offers exceptional mechanical properties and *** is considered a sustainable material due to its low carbon footprint and environmental friendly *** study examines the key influencing factors that affect the behavior of this material,such as the steel fiber volume ratio,recycled aggregate replacement rate,concrete strength grade,anchorage length,and stirrup *** study investigates the bond failure morphology,bond-slip,and bond strength constitutive relationship of steel fiber recycled *** results show that the addition of steel fibers at 0.5%,1.0%,and 1.5%volume ratios can improve the ultimate bond strength of pull-out specimens by 9.05%,6.94%,and 5.52%,*** replacement rate of recycled aggregate has minimal effect on the typical bond strength of pull-out ***,the ultimate bond strengths of pull-out specimens with concrete strength grades C45 and C60 have improved compared to those with C30 *** specimens with longer anchorage lengths exhibit lower ultimate bond strength,with a reduction of 33.19%and 46.37%for anchorage lengths of 5D and 7D,respectively,compared to those without *** restraint of 1φ8 and 2φ8 improves the ultimate bond strength by 5.29%and 6.90%,*** fibers have a significant effect on the behavior of concrete after it cracks,especially during the stable expansion stage,crack instability expansion stage,and failure stage.

利用因热源作用而收缩和膨胀的导管研究一阶化学反应和热辐射对幂律Carreau流体热质传输的影响。考虑了以热辐射形式产生热量的流体流动的体积热源和非线性热辐射。采用基于射击简单算法的RK-4方法对径向模式下的质量、动量、能量和物种浓度等基本守恒方程进行了重构和数值求解。考虑粒子的布朗性和热泳性,纳米粒子存在的模型是现象模型。将动量方程与扩展Jaffrey-Hamel问题的Carreau模型组合在一起。不同幂律指数对流体摩擦传热、传热量和传质的影响主要表现在流变性能上,说明剪切增稠型流体比剪切减薄型流体更有效。热传输率在热源处最大,在幂指数最大化时最小。这些研究可能有助于开发一种物理上合理的方法,用于系统化评估收缩/扩张通道中的流体流动和能量使用。

Hydro-meteorological characteristics of Chitral River basin at the peak of the Hindukush range

This paper presents the impact of mean maximum temperature on Chitral river basin situated at Chitral district and high altitude (>6000 m) peaks of the Hindukush range under changing climate in Pakistan. The analysis of Chitral River as one of the tributary of Kabul River—the second largest river of Pakistan—revealed that change in temperature has a profound influence on the snow/glacial melt in comparison to the mean monthly rainfall. This is because the studied river is faded by the snow and glacial melt and receives a lot of snowfall from winter (DecFeb) to pre-monsoon (April-May). In monsoon period (Jul-Sep), 30% of the time the discharge rate remains above the mean while 60% of the time the discharge is less than the mean in the pre-monsoon (April-May) period. It means that 10% of the time the discharge is in reach of 300% to 900% of the mean flow, showing a rise in water yield and river discharge rate due to increase in mean monthly maximum temperature. Due to this significant increase (p ur findings are important for agriculture, hydropower and water management sectors for future planning especially in dry season for sustainable food security and for operation of ydrological installations in the country.

Real time object tracking commonly suffers from various real life problems like varying pose,occlusion and *** this paper,the illumination problem is handled that highly influences the quality of people *** main focus is to eliminate the lighting effect and increase the success ratio in *** proposed system removes the noise from single-scale retinex（SSR） image via linear smoothing filter which in fact segregates the actual features from illumination *** addition,we extend processed images with original histogram of oriented gradients（HOG） based detector and local binary patterns（LBP） for training to classify the negative and positive ***,we utilized support vector machine（SVM） for classification *** results show that the proposed method have more accuracy as compared to original HOG+SVM method.

Dramatic changes in climatic conditions that supplement the biotic and abiotic stresses pose severe threat to the sustainable rice production and have made it a difficult task for rice molecular breeders to enhance production and productivity under these stress factors. The main focus of rice molecular breeders is to understand the fundamentals of molecular pathways involved in complex agronomic traits to increase the yield. The availability of complete rice genome sequence and recent improvements in rice genomics research has made it possible to detect and map accurately a large number of genes by using linkage to DNA markers. Linkage mapping is an effective approach to identify the genetic markers which are co-segregating with target traits within the family. The ideas of genetic diversity, quantitative trait locus（QTL） mapping, and marker-assisted selection（MAS） are evolving into more efficient concepts of linkage disequilibrium（LD） also called association mapping and genomic selection（GS）, respectively. The use of cost-effective DNA markers derived from the fine mapped position of the genes for important agronomic traits will provide opportunities for breeders to develop high-yielding, stress-resistant, and better quality rice cultivars. Here we focus on the progress of molecular marker technologies, their application in genetic mapping and evolution of association mapping techniques in rice.

Current Status of <i>Withania somnifera</i>(L.) Dunal: An Endangered Medicinal Plant from Himalaya

Withania somnifera is highly medicinal plant species of Pakistan floristically placed in the Western Himalayan Province, Himalaya Range of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and in the Soon valley (Salt Range) of Punjab Pakistan. It grows in high altitude of 5500 feet in the Himalayas. Its English name is Winter Cherry and its urdu name is Asghand/Kutilal. It is the low lying shrub of about 1.50 m in height with erect branching. It grows in dry arid regions of Pakistan, India, China and Bangladesh. Its flowers are bisexual, small, axillary, greenish, solitary and few-flowered cymes. Chemical analysis of Ashwagandha showed that it has alkaloids and steroidal lactones (withanolides) as the main chemical constituent. W. somnifera has not yet been assessed for the IUCN Red List. However, in Pakistan, W. somnifera is falling under criteria A of endangered category. Asghand (W. somnifera) acquires much therapeutic potential which include sedative, narcotic, thyroid stimulation, anti-inflammatory, hypnotic, anti-stress, general tonic, diuretic, antimicrobial, and antitumor activities. There are number of threats responsible for the decrease of W. somnifera number in western Himalayan range and salt range of Punjab Pakistan which may include deforestation over exploitation and climatic changes. Conservation strategies need to be adopted for improving the population pool of W. somnifera. There is also the dire need to conserve this important medicinal plant species with some standard biotechnological approaches and conservation strategies in future.

The trade-in of used merchandise globally is high, as it allows the consumer to satisfy their needs at a lesser *** the category grows over time, the quality requirement and assurance are also increasing and supported with relevant quality *** understanding the quality certification in used merchandise, the paper explores the evolutionary process of the *** research attempts to create an evolutionary game model encompassing retailers and consumers trading used ***, the model used for the analysis assumes that retailers have examined and repair the（E and R） capability of the used *** model suggests that purchase and selling prices do not affect the stable evolutionary strategy（ESS）;however, the cost of quality certification significantly impacts the *** E and R capability of retailers impact the transaction as it reduces the price of used *** transaction cost and utility of the merchandise are motivating factors for the used *** on the research outcomes, government regulators should participate in the used merchandise transaction by providing a low-cost quality *** governmental authorities should intercede to offer a fair environment for both retailers and consumers and earn revenue as a minimum fee on the transaction.

The global significance of forest ecosystems requires precise determination of the amount of carbon stored in different forest ecosystems. Regular monitoring of forests can aid in designing efficient climate change control strategies at national and global scale specially in reducing emissions from deforestation and degradation strategies. This research is designed to focus on determining deforestation of study area from 2001 to 2011 using Remote Sensing (RS) and Geographic Information System (GIS) techniques. This research provided rate and amount of degradation of forests in the study area and was quite helpful in formulating a strategy to earn carbon credits consistently and, therefore, will help in the uplifting of the standards of local population.

Quaternaryammonium compounds (QACs) are cationic surfactants with broad range applications. They enter into aquatic environment through the discharge of sewage effluents and adversely affect the ecosystem due to toxicity. Modern electrochemical methods have been used for characterization and detoxification of an extensively used QAC, didodecyldimethylammonium bromide (DDAB) in a wide pH range. The diffusion coefficient of DAAB was determined by Randles-Sevcik equation. In acidic conditions the electrochemical reduction of DAAB occurred by two electrons and two protons process. However, in neutral medium the overall reduction of DAAB followed electronation-protonation mechanism involving 3e– and 3H+. Although DDAB is toxic yet it is bestowed with cancer preventing ability. Hence, for getting insights into the under-standing of DAAB anticancer effect, its DNA binding parameters has been evaluated.

Tomato is an important field crop,and nutritional imbalances frequently reduce its *** and Recommendation Integrated System(DRIS),uses ratios for nutrient deficiency diagnosis instead of absolute concentration in plant *** this study,local DRIS norms for the field tomatoes were established and the nutrient(s)limiting tomatoes yield were *** leaves were analyzed for nutrients,to identify nutritional status using the DRIS *** hundred tomatoes fields were selected from Chatter Plain Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Sheikupura Punjab *** first fully matured leaf was sampled,rinsed,dried and ground for analyzing P,K,Ca,Mg,Cu,Fe,Mn and Zn using an Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectrophotometer(ICP AES).Plant tissue N and S were measured by the combustion *** tomatoes yields were recorded at each *** data were divided into high-yielding(≥3.79 kg/10 plant)and low-yielding(<3.79 kg/10 plant)populations and norms were computed using standard DRIS ***-yielding plant population had a statistically greater mean S and Fe than the low-yielding *** average balance index,the sum of functions,for S and Fe were−11.04 and−5.17 which reflected deficiency of S and *** nutrients norms established may optimize plant nutrition in field tomatoes for high yield.
