Carbon dioxide capture and reduction(CCR)process emerges as an efficient catalytic strategy for CO_(2)capture and conversion to valuable chemicals.K-promoted Cu/Al_(2)O_(3)catalysts exhibited promising CO_(2)capture efficiency and highly selective conversion to syngas(CO+H_(2)).The dynamic nature of the Cu-K system at reaction conditions complicates the identification of the catalytically active phase and surface sites.The present work aims at more precise understanding of the roles of the potassium and copper and the contribution of the metal oxide support.Whileγ-Al_(2)O_(3)guarantees high dispersion and destabilisation of the potassium phase,potassium and copper act synergistically to remove CO_(2)from diluted streams and promote fast regeneration of the active phase for CO_(2)capture releasing CO while passing H_(2).A temperature of 350℃is found necessary to activate H_(2)dissociation and generate the active sites for CO_(2)capture.The effects of synthesis parameters on the CCR activity are also described by combination of ex-situ characterisation of the materials and catalytic testing.

Radical cation Diels-Alder reactions provide a powerful method for the construction of six-membered ring systems between both electron-rich dienes and dienophiles. However, the most recent examples of this class have been limited to β-methylstyrenes as dienophiles;the use of non-conjugated alkenes remains challenging. The present study describes the serendipitous development of novel radical cation Diels-Alder reactions by electrocatalysis that use non-conjugated alkenes as dienophiles. The key to successful transformation involves highly substituted cyclohexenyl radical cations that are stable enough to be reduced by intermolecular single electron transfer.

Background:To prevent stent migration during endoscopic ultrasound-guided hepaticogastrostomy(EUS-HGS),intra-scope channel release technique is important,but is unfamiliar to non-expert hands.The self-expandable metal stent(SEMS)is an additional factor to prevent stent migration.However,no compara-tive studies of laser-cut-type and braided-type during EUS-HGS have been reported.The aim of this study was to compare the distance between the intrahepatic bile duct and stomach wall after EUS-HGS among laser-cut-type and braided-type SEMS.Methods:To evaluate stent anchoring function,we measured the distance between the hepatic parenchyma and stomach wall before EUS-HGS,one day after EUS-HGS,and 7 days after EUS-HGS.Also,propensity score matching was performed to create a propensity score for using laser-cut-type group and braided-type group.Results:A total of 142 patients were enrolled in this study.Among them,24 patients underwent EUS-HGS using a laser-cut-type SEMS,and 118 patients underwent EUS-HGS using a braided-type SEMS.EUS-HGS using the laser-cut-type SEMS was mainly performed by non-expert endoscopists(n=21);EUS-HGS using braided-type SEMS was mainly performed by expert endoscopists(n=98).The distance after 1 day was significantly shorter in the laser-cut-type group than that in the braided-type group[2.00(1.70-3.75)vs.6.90(3.72-11.70)mm,P<0.001].In addition,this distance remained significantly shorter in the laser-cut-type group after 7 days.Although these results were similar after propensity score matching analysis,the distance between hepatic parenchyma and stomach after 7 days was increased by 4 mm compared with the distance after 1 day in the braided-type group.On the other hand,in the laser-cut-type group,the distance after 1 day and 7 days was almost the same.Conclusions:EUS-HGS using a laser-cut-type SEMS may be safe to prevent stent migration,even in non-expert hands.

BACKGROUND Mitral valvuloplasty using artificial chordae tendineae represents an effective surgical approach for treating mitral regurgitation.Achieving precise measurements of artificial chordae tendineae length(CL)is an important factor in the procedure;however,no objective index currently exists to facilitate this measurement.Therefore,preoperative assessment of CL is critical for surgical planning and support.Four-dimensional x-ray micro-computed tomography(4D-CT)may be useful for accurate CL measurement considering that it allows for dynamic three-dimensional(3D)evaluation compared to that with transthoracic echocardiography,a conventional inspection method.AIM To investigate the behavior and length of mitral chordae tendineae during systole using 4D-CT.METHODS Eleven adults aged>70 years without mitral valve disease were evaluated.A 64-slice CT scanner was used to capture 20 phases in the cardiac cycle in electrocardiographic synchronization.The length of the primary chordae tendineae was measured from early systole to early diastole using the 3D image.The primary chordae tendineae originating from the anterior papillary muscle and attached to the A1-2 region and those from the posterior papillary muscle and attached to the A2-3 region were designated as cA and cP,respectively.The behavior and maximum lengths[cA(ma),cP(max)]were compared,and the correlation with body surface area(BSA)was evaluated.RESULTS In all cases,the mitral anterior leaflet chordae tendineae could be measured.In most cases,the cA and cP chordae tendineae could be measured visually.The mean cA(max)and cP(max)were 20.2 mm±1.95 mm and 23.5 mm±4.06 mm,respectively.cP(max)was significantly longer.The correlation coefficients(r)with BSA were 0.60 and 0.78 for cA(max)and cP(max),respectively.Both cA and cP exhibited constant variation in CL during systole,with a maximum 1.16-fold increase in cA and a 1.23-fold increase in cP from early to mid-systole.For cP,CL reached a plateau at 15%and remained elongated until end-systole,whereas for cA,aft

BACKGROUND High-grade pancreatic intraepithelial neoplasia(PanIN)exhibits no mass and is not detected by any examination modalities.However,it can be diagnosed by pancreatic juice cytology from indirect findings.Most previous cases were diagnosed based on findings of a focal stricture of the main pancreatic duct(MPD)and caudal MPD dilatation and subsequent pancreatic juice cytology using endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography(ERCP).We experienced a case of high-grade PanIN with an unclear MPD over a 20-mm range,but without caudal MPD dilatation on magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography(MRCP).CASE SUMMARY A 60-year-old female patient underwent computed tomography for a follow-up of uterine cancer post-excision,which revealed pancreatic cysts.MRCP revealed an unclear MPD of the pancreatic body at a 20-mm length without caudal MPD dilatation.Thus,course observation was performed.After 24 mo,MRCP revealed an increased caudal MPD caliber and a larger pancreatic cyst.We performed ERCP and detected atypical cells suspected of adenocarcinoma by serial pancreatic juice aspiration cytology examination.We performed a distal pancreatectomy and obtained a histopathological diagnosis of high-grade PanIN.Pancreatic parenchyma invasion was not observed,and curative resection was achieved.CONCLUSION High-grade Pan-IN may cause MPD narrowing in a long range without caudal MPD dilatation.

木山英雄的《〈野草〉论》通过对鲁迅《野草》进行解读,将《野草》中鲁迅的诗与哲学的关系加以勾连,由此进入鲁迅的内心世界与中国现代史,这在鲁迅研究史上获得了高度评价,是对“竹内鲁迅”的反拨和有力推进,然而,木山行文与立论的晦涩同样在他与读者之间筑起了壁垒。本文对木山的《野草》论进行文本细读,从词语和概念的阐释、句子的释疑,到立论展开逻辑的阐发,以阐述、补注或者说明等多种方式,在消解木山文本的晦涩性的同时,探索木山论述展开的逻辑以及文本蕴含的可能性,以呈现木山的思维框架。在论文最后部分,以丸尾常喜和尾崎文昭的鲁迅论为例,阐明二者对木山英雄鲁迅论的自觉或者不自觉的继承以及与前者的不同,同时深化了木山鲁迅论与竹内鲁迅论的相通之处与不同之处。

Onion plants form spherical bulbs under long-day conditions.Substances regulating bulb formation remain unknown.In the course of chemical studies on the bulb formation,α-linolenic acid was isolated from onion extracts as an antibulbing substance,the amount of which was synchronized with the bulb formation.Since allene oxide synthase inhibitor canceled the antibulbing activity ofα-linolenic acid,it was disclosed that jasmonic acid concerns this regulation.Structure-activity-relationship study revealed that its(3R,7S)stereochemistry is necessary for showing its antibulbing activity.It is concluded that(3R,7S)-jasmonate derived fromα-linolenic acid actually participates in the regulation of bulb formation.

A subloading-friction model is formulated to describe the smooth transient variation from static friction to kinetic friction,the recovery to static friction after the sliding velocity decreases,and the accumulation of sliding displacement under the cyclic loading of contact stress.In the past relevant studies,however,the model formulation used for simulations is limited to the hypoelastic-based plasticity framework,and the validation of the model is limited to simulations of the test data for metal-to-metal friction.In this study,the formulation of the subloading-friction model based on a hyperelastic-based plasticity framework is adopted.In the fields of civil,geotechnical,agricultural engineering,and terramechanics,the interaction between soils and metals is critical,as reflected in construction and agricultural machinery,foundation piles,and retaining walls.The validity of the model for describing the friction between various sands and metals is verified by simulations of the experimental data under monotonic and cyclic loadings.

First-arrival traveltime tomography for monitoring the excavation damaged zone in the Horonobe Underground Research Laboratory

Subsurface excavation results in the formation of a zone called excavation damaged zone(EDZ)around the tunnel wall.An EDZ is a major concern in the field of high-level radioactive waste disposal because it may act as a flow path after the closure of a repository.In this study,first-arrival traveltime tomography was repeatedly conducted on the EDZ at a depth of 350 m in the Horonobe Underground Research Laboratory.However,the acquired data was highly affected by the support structure on the drift wall.For proper visualization of the EDZ,information about the structure was incorporated into the inversion by modifying the model constraint.The synthetic study showed that the approach reproduced the EDZ in the model without the artifacts.The method was applied to field data,and the EDZ around the drift was detected.The inversion was extended to a time-lapse inversion to trace the changes in P-wave velocity in the EDZ.The synthetic study demonstrated that temporal changes in the P-wave velocity distribution could be detected.Data obtained from 12 surveys under open-drift conditions were analyzed by time-lapse inversion.The results indicated that the EDZ did not undergo sealing or evolution at the site for approximately seven years.
