Aims: Obesity is the major contributor of the metabolic syndrome (MetS), but a unique phenotype of obesity known as metabolically healthy obese (MHO) shows healthier metabolic profile; however understanding of their biochemical correlates is poorly understood. Obesity is defined by Body mass index (BMI), but controversy exists regarding ethnic-specific BMI cut-offs. The present study used the Asian Indian BMI cut-offs to assess relationships of MHO phenotypes with oxidative stress (OS) and inflammation. Methods: In this case-control study, 299 metabolically-healthy (MH) respondents were divided into four groups as per Asian criteria for obesity: MH non-obese (MHNO), MH overweight (MHOW), MHO and MH severely obese (MHSO). Obesity (Ob) is an accepted major risk factor for the metabolic syndrome (MetS), a combination of at least three of five risk factors, which predispose to high oxidative stress (OS), but all obese do not show symptoms of MetS. There is dearth of data comparing OS homeostasis of severely obese adults with and without MetS, and need for biomarkers to help in differential diagnosis. Erythrocytic lipid and protein damage markers, malondialdehyde (MDA) and protein carbonyl (PCO), antioxidant enzymes erythrocytic superoxide dismutase(SOD), catalase (CAT), plasma glutathione peroxidase (GPX), and total antioxidant capacity (TAC) as ferric-reducing-ability-of-plasma (FRAP) were compared to understand OS homeostasis among 102 severely Ob (body mass index > 30), 102 Ob with severe (z-score > 2) MetS as per National Cholesterol Education Program-Adult Treatment Panel III guidelines and 100 healthy non-obese Controls. MDA/PCO and all antioxidant enzymes were lowest for ObMetS, followed by Ob, indicating greater damage to protein moieties of the erythrocytic membrane. Multiple regression analysis confirmed z-scores > 2 as significant predictor of lowered enzymes and TAC. Receiver Operator Curve analysis predicted that TAC was the most potential biomarker for the diagnosis and prognosis of MetS with an Odds Ratio of 88.5 indicating the high probability that FRAP would be low for ObMetS (z-score > 2) than for Ob with BMI > 30, but z-scores < 1. TAC is qualified as the most effective biomarker to distinguish between severely obese respondents with and without metabolic syndrome, and as a useful candidate for study of homeostatic breakdown in metabolic syndrome and the importance of z-score in assessment of MetS in obese respondents.

Azathioprine(AZA)is commonly used as immunosuppressive therapy for autoimmune diseases,including systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE).Myelosuppression is a common side effect of *** we report a case of severe myelosuppression following AZA therapy in a 15-year-old girl despite a normal thiopurine methyltransferase(TPMT)*** had been receiving AZA for SLE and presented with neutropenic fever and *** was *** stopping AZA,her blood counts steadily *** TPMT genotyping results were normal,AZA was *** reappeared after starting AZA,despite normal TPMT *** was replaced with mycophenolate mofetil which consequently resulted in improvement of blood *** is essential to understand the temporal relationship between AZA use and pancytopenia onset in patients with normal TPMT *** case illustrates that regular monitoring of blood cell counts should be routine practice after starting AZA regardless of TPMT activity.

对于身心健康的重要性,新型冠状病毒肺炎(COVID-19)的大流行给我们上了宝贵的一课。即使是科技高度发展的今天,仍未开发出一个系统,能完全使个人医疗数据数字化,并提供医患双方随时访问这些信息的权限。此外,政府机关也无法确认某个医疗单位的合法性。本研究融合现代科技及传统路径,突出人工智能(AI)与传统中医(TCM)相结合的场景,提出了可发展传统路径的方法。本研究的主要目的是向政府机关、医生、护士及患者提供可轻松访问相关数据的一站式平台。通过该平台还可对医生的资质进行查验。数据是每个机构最重要的资产之一,数据泄露可能会将用户的生命置于风险之中。因此,数据安全至关重要,必须优先考虑。我们所提出的研究方法是基于云计算技术,可确保数据的安全性,避免任何形式的数据泄露。本研究还考虑到了在云端建立类似的基础架构时可能遇到的困难,并克服了在项目期间所面临的各种障碍,为将来创新的可能预留了足够空间。综上所述,本研究围绕医疗数据数字化展开,提出了实现医疗数据数字化的一些可能途径。并且,还针对相关问题如数据安全和数字化的潜在难题进行了探讨。

Disease management is often complicated by the presence of multiple types of pathogens;in an organic system, it is appropriate to develop disease control strategies. The available literature so far reflects that the management of important disease of tomato is through the integrated approaches and very few organic approaches have been tried with various degree of success. Boiopriming of seeds with biocontrol agents (Trichoderma viridae, Trichoderma harzianum and Pseudomonas fluorescens) in combination with different biofertilizers (Azotobacter, Azospirillum and PSB) and organic manures (FYM and vermi-compost) were tested against disease incidence and health management of tomato seedling under nursery as well as field conditions. The studies were conducted during two successive years (2012-2013) at farmer’s field with the objective to combat with the increasing disease incidence of three major disease damping-off, fusarium wilt and buckeye rot from nursery stage to the final harvesting. The study focused on the use of biocontrol agents as the suitable alternative to chemical pesticides with sustainable disease management without pesticide residues in foodstuff. The bio priming of seeds with fungal antagonist Trichoderma viridae and harzianum and bacterial antagonist Pseudomonas fluorescens significantly improved the germination behavior of tomato seeds as compared to untreated control. Highest mean germination (93.1%) and seedling vigour (953.33) was recorded in Treatment 3 (FYM @ 200 q/ ha + Azospirillum + PSB + Trichoderma herzianum (4 kg/ha each) and lowest in control (60.3%) and (304.83), thus indicating a significant per cent increase in seedling emergence (54.4%) and seedling vigour (95.23%). A considerable reduction in disease incidence (pre and post) of damping off was observed in treatment T? and T? (VC @ 50 q/ha + Azospirillum + PSB + Trichoderma herzianum @ (4 kg/ha) with 45.6% and 35.4% respectively). Treatment T? proved highest in terms of yield (665 Kg/
