Background:Hodgkin lymphoma refers to a malignancy of the lymphatic ***-nodal Hodgkin lymphoma(ENHL)is a rare variant consisting of Hodgkin lymphoma occurring outside the lymphatic *** investigating the epidemiology associated with ENHL are ***:618 ENHL cases were analyzed using the National Cancer Institute’s Surveillance,Epidemiology,and End Results(SEER)database(2000–2020).Demographics including sex,race/ethnicity,rural-urban continuum,age group(categorized as adolescent and young adult(AYA)if between years of 15 and 39,and adult if over the age of 40),and living status(alive/deceased)were examined,with survival status as the main ***:This study included 335 males(54.2%)and 283 females(45.8%).Of this total,47.9%were in the AYA *** terms of ethnicity the distribution was 12.5%non-Hispanic Black,67.5%non-Hispanic White,5.2%non-Hispanic Asian/Pacific Islander,and 14.9%*** analyses evidenced significant differences in survival by age group with 91.6%in AYA vs.72.4%in adults(P<0.001)alive by the end of the study *** analyses identified age as a key predictor of survival,as the AYA patients had a lower odds ratio for death(odds ratio=0.25,P<0.001).In addition,survival outcomes were also impacted by race,with non-Hispanic Blacks showing higher survival *** treatment,27.0%of patients underwent surgery,with 10.2%receiving post-surgery radiation,reducing odds of mortality(odds ratio=0.32,P=0.046).Conclusion:The background research as such,tends to affirm that these two factors–age and race are quite crucial in the prognosis as well as management of *** to adults,AYA patients had significantly lower odds of death,while non-Hispanic Black individuals exhibited reduced survival *** should be noted that 27.0%of patients underwent surgery with 10.2%receiving post-operative radiation which led to decrease in mortality ***,these results reiterate the nec

Rare earth(La)and metal ion(Pb)substitution induced structural and multiferroic properties of bismuth ferrite

In this study,bulk samples of multiferroic with compositional formula,BiFeO3 and Bi_(0.825)A_(0.175)FeO_(3)(A=La,Pb),were synthesized by solid state reaction route.X-ray diffraction(XRD)along with the Rietveld refinement revealed the distorted rhombohedral(R3c)structure for pristine BiFeO3 and Bi0.825La0.175FeO3 and tetragonal(P4/mmm)for Bi_(0.825)Pb_(0.175)FeO_(3)*** support the structural results,bond length between atoms for both of the compounds was calculated.A change in Raman mode position in BiFeO3(BFO)has been observed with La and Pb substitution from Raman scattering measurements and also recommended a structural change with rare earth and metal ion substitution at Bi *** the frequency dependent dielectric constant and dielectric loss plots,a decrease in dielectric values with increase in frequency was observed for both of the *** microelectronic devices,porous ceramics with lower value of dielectric constant are most ***,further studies are also needed to carefully tune the magnetoelectric properties and structural distortion after La/Pb substitution in BFO.

On Planetary Electromagnetism and Gravity

Study of the interiors of the various terrestrial planets, as presented in the paper, leads to the possibility of planetary gravity being linked to the electromagnetism generated in the planetary interiors. Findings of the study undertaken suggest that Earth’s gravitational attraction may be attributed to magnetic coupling experi-enced between Earth's electromagnetism and all the earthly objects - electrically charged or uncharged. More precisely, terrestrial gravity is deemed to be outcome of the bound state of the planetary electromagnetism.

Probiotic Screening of Lactobacilli Isolates from Uttapam Batter Fermented Supplementing with Piper betleL. Leaves

The in vitro screening of lactobacilli isolates from uttapam batter, fermented supplementing with Piper betle L. leaves, was performed in order to select potent isolates for probiotic use. Their resistance to simulated gastric and intestinal juices as well as their adhesion to epithelial intestinal HCT-15 and vaginal HeLa cell lines were assessed and also evaluated for their immunomodulatory ability in ex vivo condition. Isolates were able to adhere as well as reduce pathogen adhesion to monolayer cell lines’ surfaces and reduced production of pro-inflammatory cytokine TNF-α in LPS treated PBMCs, while enhanced that of anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10. The isolates exhibited properties of auto-aggregation, co-aggregation, hydrophobicity, bile salt hydrolase activity and strong antimicrobial activity against pathogenic bacteria. Thus, the different lactobacilli isolates displayed potent probiotic and immunomodulatory properties among which AJ7 and AJ82 had a great potential and may have applications in fermented foods as immunomodulatory probiotic additives.

Secular evolution of continental crust: recorded from massif-type charnockites of Eastern Ghats belt, India

It is reasonably well established that the Earth has substantially cooled from the Archean to the pre-sent and hence the sites, rates and pro- cesses of crust formation must have changed through geo-logic time. Archean and Proterozoic granitic rocks are the principal record of such changes. Massif-type charnockites in the Eastern Ghats granulite belt, India, of Archean and Proterozoic ages mirror the changing conditions and/or processes of continental crust for- mation. Though both can be explained by dehydration melting of mafic rocks, the conditions differ. Potasium and rubidium rich Proterozoic charnockites have significant negative Eu ano- maly indicating melting at shallow depths in the stability field of plagioclase. In contrast, sodium and strontium rich Archean charnockites with less LREE enrichment and less depletion in Eu indicate melting at greater depths in the stability field of garnet or amphibole.

String Cloud and Domain Walls with Quark Matter in Lyra Geometry

We have constructed cosmological models for string cloud and domain walls coupled with quark matter in Lyra geometry. For this purpose we have solved the field equations using anisotropy feature of the universe, special law of variation for Hubble’s parameter proposed by Berman [78] which yields constant deceleration parameter;and time varying displacement field . Further some properties of the obtained solutions are discussed.

Objective:To evaluate the anti-proliferative and apoptogenic activity of ethyl acetate extract from the leaves of Memecylon edule(EtAc-LME) in MKN-74,NUGC gastric cancer cells and non cancerous gastric mucous cells(GES-1),and to explore the mechanism of EtAc-LME induced ***:The mechanism of EtAc-LME induced apoptosis was explored by analysing the activation of pro-caspases,PARP cleavage,expression of cytochrome-c (Cyt-c) was determined by western blotting,mRNA expression of Bcl-2,Bax by RT-PCR,loss of mitochondrial potential using DiOC6 dye,annexin binding assay and its influence on cell cycle arrest by flow ***:The results indicated that EtAc-LME inhibited the gastric cancer cell growth in dose-dependent manner and cytotoxicity was more towards the gastric cancer cells(NUCC and MKN-74) compared to normal gastric cells(GES-1),suggesting more specific cytotoxicity to the malignant *** expression of Cyt-c and subsequent activation of caspases-3 and down regulation of Bcl-2 and loss in mitochondrial potential in EtAc-LME treated MKN-74 and NUGC cells suggested that EtAc-LME induced apoptosis by mitochondrial dependent ***:The present findings suggest that ethyl acetate extract of Memecylon edule induces apoptosis selectively in gastric cancer cells emphasizing the importance of this traditional medicine for its potential in the treatment of gastric cancer.

Occurrence of N-Acyl Homoserine Lactones in Extracts of Bacterial Strain of Pseudomonas aeruginosaand in Sputum Sample Evaluated by Gas Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry

This study presents a fast, accurate and sensitive technique using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) for the identification and quantification of N-acyl homoserine lactones (AHLs) in the extracts of bacterial strain of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and sputum sample of a cystic fibrosis patient. This method involves direct separation and determination of AHLs by using GC-MS as simultaneous separation and characterization of AHLs were possible without any prior derivatiza-tion. Electron ionization resulted in a common fragmentation pattern with the most common fragment ion at m/z 143 and other minor peaks at 73, 57 and 43. The limit of detection for N-butanoyl, N-hexanoyl, N-octanoyl, N-decanoyl, N-dodecanoyl and N-tetradecanoyl homoserine lactones was 2.14, 3.59, 2.71, 2.10, 2.45 and 2.34 μg/L, respectively. The presence of AHLs in the culture of P. aeruginosa strain and spu-tum of a cystic fibrosis patient was achieved in selected ion monitoring (SIM) mode by using the prominent fragment at m/z 143.

Back to Back Combined Single Feed Proximity Coupled Antenna with Dumbbell Shaped DGS

Use of defected ground structure (DGS) to reduce the size of patch antenna is presented in this paper. In order to get a dipole like radiation pattern for some specific application a dumbbell shaped DGS is used in the common ground plane of back to back combined single fed proximity coupled antenna. A size reduction of about 60% is achieved. Parametric analysis has been done to see the resonance behavior of the antenna with DGS.

Aim:Emerging evidence favors the important role of antioxidants,matrix metalloproteinases(MMPs),and nitric oxide(NO)in the healing of diabetic *** is a lack of substantial evidence regarding the effects of negative pressure on antioxidants,MMPs and NO in chronic wounds associated with ***:A total of 55 type 2 diabetic patients with leg ulcers were divided into 2 groups:a limited access dressing(LAD)group(n=27)and a conventional dressing group(n=28).Levels of hydroxyproline,total protein,MMP-2 and MMP-9,NO and antioxidants including reduced glutathione(GSH)and the oxidative biomarker malondialdehyde(MDA)were measured in the granulation tissue at days 0 and *** in levels between the LAD and conventional groups were determined by the Student’s ***:After 10 days of treatment,the LAD *** dressing group showed increase in the levels of hydroxyproline(mean±standard deviation=55.2±25.1 vs.29.2±1,P<0.05),total protein(12.8±6.5 vs.8.34±3.2,P<0.05),NO(1.13±0.52 vs.0.66±0.43,P<0.05),GSH(7.0±2.4 vs.6.6±2.2,P<0.05)and decrease in MMP-2(0.47±0.33 vs.0.62±0.30,P<0.05),MMP-9(0.32±0.20 vs.0.53±0.39,P<0.05)and MDA(6.8±2.3 vs.10.4±3.4,P<0.05).Conclusion:When compared to conventional dressings,LAD induces biochemical changes by significantly increasing the levels of hydroxyproline,total protein,NO and antioxidants levels,and significantly reducing MMPs(MMP-2 and MMP-9)and an oxidative biomarker in diabetic *** biochemical changes are thought to favor diabetic wound healing.
