Identification of miR414 and Expression Analysis of Conserved miRNAs from Stevia rebaudiana

MicroRNAs （miRNAs） usually contain 19-24 nucleotides and have been identified as important eukaryotic gene regulators. Applications of various computational approaches have simplified the task by predicting miRNAs from available sequence data sources. In this study, we identified a conserved miR414 from a computational analysis of EST sequence data available from Stevia rebaudiana. In addition, we also identified six conserved miRNAs namely miR169, miR319, miR414, miR164, miR167 and miR398 using stem-loop RT-PCR analysis. Hence, miR414 was commonly identified using both methods. The expression analysis of these miRNAs documented their roles in growth and development of Stevia. Furthermore, the detected miRNAs were found to target genes involved in plant growth, development, metabolism and signal transducfion. This is the first study reporting these conserved miRNAs and their expression in Stevia.

Burans is an evergreen tree that bears fowers with colors ranging from bright red to pink and are distributed throughout the *** fowers of Burans exhibit many therapeutic,nutritional,and aromatic properties along with diverse health *** characteristics of Burans can have a great impact on the quality of alcoholic wines and provide value addition to the Burans fowers as a fermented product,which is otherwise ***,in this study,Burans fowers were used for the preparation of a new favor of the wine to enhance the utility of this *** time(5,8 and 11 days),temperature(30,32 and 34℃),pH(3.5,4.0 and 4.50),and total soluble solids(TSS:22,24 and 26°Bx)were varied to identify the most suitable conditions for high-quality wine *** titratable acidity,reducing sugar,pH,and TSS of Burans wine were analyzed after fermentation which ranged from 0.36 to 0.78%,9.8 to 13.3%,3.43 to 4.13,and 6.9 to 16.8ºBx,*** study also provides a useful benchmark for the industrial production of Burans fower wine with a standard alcohol content of 14.1%.

Background In the Indo-Gangetic Plain,rice-wheat is the most extensively practiced crop *** escalating issue of crop residue burning,particularly rice straw,and the necessity to lower the exorbitant expenses associated with fertilizer inputs stand out as significant challenges for farmers in the region.A well-suited integrated nutrient management(INM)strategy that focuses on recycling crop residues can serve as a solution to address these *** a strategy not only mitigates air pollution resulting from residue burning but also helps combat water pollution due to nitrate losses from *** experiments were used to evaluate the suitability of eight INM-modules that included various combinations of inorganic fertilizer rates(50%,100%,150%of recommended dose),crop residues(wheat and rice stubble retention at 30 cm standing stubble equivalent to 1/3 the straw yield),rice straw compost(RSC),farmyard manure(FYM),and green manuring(GM),compared to 100%recommended dose of fertilizers(F)and no fertilizer *** There was a considerable improvement in nitrogen mineralization,grain yields,and nitrogen use efficiency under GM+RSC-F50 and GM+*** INM modules would permit a 50%reduction in the use of chemical *** was a little yield penalty with in situ rice residue incorporation at 100%F;however,this could be overcome with 150%F fertilizer *** situ retention of wheat straw with a full application of fertilizer resulted in steadily rising crop yields over *** in the redox potential,soil pH,and soil organic carbon best accounted for the observed trajectories in nitrogen use *** The most promising INM modules for adoption by farmers in the Indo-Gangetic Plain to judiciously use crop residues and curtail chemical fertilizer inputs are green manuring with Sesbania aculeata+rice straw compost at 5 t ha^(−1)+only 50%of recommended dose of fertilizers(GM+RSC-F50),and green manuring with

Since the failure of traditional therapy, gene therapy using functional DNA sequence and small RNA/DNA molecules(oligonucleotide) has become a promising avenue for cancer treatment. The discovery of RNA molecules has impelled researchers to investigate small regulatory RNA from various natural and artificial sources and determine a cogent target for controlling tumor progression. Small regulatory RNAs are used for therapeutic silencing of oncogenes and aberrant DNA repair response *** their advantages, therapies based on small RNAs exhibit limitations in terms of stability of therapeutic drugs, precisionbased delivery in tissues, precision-based intercellular and intracellular targeting, and tumor heterogeneity-based responses. In this study, we summarize the potential and drawbacks of small RNAs in nucleic acid therapeutics for cancer.
