Von Kármán rotating flow of Maxwell nanofluids featuring the Cattaneo-Christov theory with a Buongiorno model

This research paper analyzes the transport of thermal and solutal energy in the Maxwell nanofluid flow induced above the disk which is rotating with a constant angular *** significant features of thermal and solutal relaxation times of fluids are studied with a Cattaneo-Christov double diffusion theory rather than the classical Fourier’s and Fick’s laws.A novel idea of a Buongiorno nanofluid model together with the Cattaneo-Christov theory is introduced for the first time for the Maxwell fluid flow over a rotating ***,the thermal and solutal distributions are controlled with the impacts of heat source and chemical *** classical von Karman similarities are used to acquire the non-linear system of ordinary differential equations(ODEs).The analytical series solution to the governing ODEs is obtained with the well-known homotopy analysis method(HAM).The validation of results is provided with the published results by the comparison *** graphically presented outcomes for the physical problem reveal that the higher values of the stretching strength parameter enhance the radial velocity and decline the circumferential *** increasing trend is noted for the axial velocity profile in the downward direction with the higher values of the stretching strength *** higher values of the relaxation time parameters in the Cattaneo-Christov theory decrease the thermal and solutal energy transport in the flow of Maxwell *** higher rate of the heat transport is observed in the case of a larger thermophoretic force.

Sol-gel synthesis,properties and protein loading/delivery capacity of hollow bioactive glass nanospheres with large hollow cavity and mesoporous shell

Hollow nanospheres exhibit unique properties and find a wide interest in several potential applications such as drug ***,novel hollow bioactive glass nanospheres(HBGn)with large hollow cavity and large mesopores in their outer shells were synthesized by a simple and facile one-pot ultrasound assisted sol-gel method using PEG as the core ***,the produced HBGn exhibited large hollow cavity with ~43 nm in diameter and mesoporous shell of ~37 nm in thickness and 7 nm pore size along with nanosphere size around 117 *** confirmed the presence of Si and Ca elements at the surface of the HBGn outer ***,HBGn showed high protein loading capacity(~570 mg of Cyto c per 1 g of HBGn)in addition to controlled protein release over 5 *** also demonstrated a good in vitro capability of releasing calcium(Ca^(2+):170 ppm)and silicate(SiO_(4)^(4-):78 ppm)ions in an aqueous medium over 2 weeks under physiological-like *** in vitro growth of bone-like hydroxyapatite nanocrystals was exhibited by HBGn during the soaking in SBF.A possible underlying mechanism involving the formation of spherical aggregates(coils)of PEG was proposed for the formation process of HBGn.

Etchability of Latent Fission Fragment Tracks in CR-39

We report the chemical etching behaviour of the CR-39 polymer detector exposed to fission fragments of 252Cf describing etchability of latent tracks, which are like nanocylinders. The fission fragment exposed detectors were etched in 1-7 N NaOH water solutions at temperatures 50-80℃ for 45 min in the case of track length and 180 min in the case of track diameter measurements. The reduced etch rate S （called here etchability） is determined using experimental results for all etching conditions and the etching conditions with the highest reduced etch are obtained. Physics and energetics of bulk and track etching are discussed. Possible effects causing spurious changes in determination of activation energy of etching are investigated.

Radiation-Induced Nano-Explosions at the Solid Surface: Near Surface Radiation Damage in CR-39 Polymer

New measurements of fission fragment and alpha particle induced surface damage in the most sensitive and commonly used nuclear track detector CR-39 are presented *** designed and optimized exposure and chemical etching experiments are employed to unfold the structure of radiation induced surface damage(RISD).Delay in the startup of the chemical etching of latent tracks or surface radiation damage is measured and is found to contain important information about the structure of the surface *** atomic scale pictures of RISD and its chemical etching are developed in an empirical *** model and experimental findings coherently compose a realistic picture of early or femtosecond evolution of RISD.

Experimental Investigation on the Performance of Heat Pump Operating with Copper and Alumina Nanofluids

In the present study,an attempt ismade to enhance the performance of heat pump by utilizing two types of nanofluids namely,copper and alumina *** nanofluids were employed around the evaporator coil of the heat *** nanofluids were used to enhance the heat input to the system by means of providing an external jacket around the evaporator *** the nanofluids were prepared in three volume fractions 1%,2%and 5%.Water was chosen as the base *** performance of the heat pump was assessed by calculating the coefficient of performance of the system when it was operated with and without nanofluid jacket.A significant enhancement in the coefficient of performance was noticed when copper and alumina nanofluids were employed in the ***,the coefficient of performance was found to have a direct relationship with the tested volume *** the highest volume fraction of 5%,the performance of the heat pump was found to enhance by 23%with alumina nanofluid,while for copper nanofluid,a very significant enhancement in performance by 72%was ***,utilizing of nanofluids in heat pumps can be very beneficial towards performance enhancement and the idea can also be extended to other thermal systems such as steam power plant,automobile radiator,industrial heat exchangers and refrigeration systems.

Current approaches in treatment of triple-negative breast cancer

Triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC) is diagnosed more frequently in younger and premenopausal women and is highly prevalent in African American women. TNBC is a term derived from tumors that are characterized by the absence of ER, Pg R, and HER2. So patients with TNBC do not benefit from hormonal or trastuzumab-based therapies. TNBCs are biologically aggressive, although some reports suggest that they respond to chemotherapy better than other types of breast cancer, prognosis remains poor. This is due to: shortened disease-free interval in the adjuvant and neoadjuvant setting and a more aggressive course in the metastatic setting.

Planar Channelling Criticalities of MeV Protons in Si Crystal： Simulations, Evaluation and Applications

We reports a phase-space structure of MeV proton beam planar channelled along {110} planes in Si crystal using simulation results with the help of a computer code FLUX. The aim is to understand channelling conditions suitable for disorder measurement in crystals. Phase-space distribution of a planar channelled proton beam evolutes in a systematic fashion when it travels into the crystal. Planar channelled beam oscillates between phase-like and space-like conditions in which a part of the beam becomes under phase and space criticalities. These criticality conditions in planar channelling are analysed, explained and discussed with the perspective of defect measurement in crystals.

Effect of energy content of the nitraminic plastic bonded explosives on their performance and sensitivity characteristics

Information about the forty nine nitraminic plastic bonded explosives(PBXs)and different nitramines were *** of these PBXs are nitramines 1,3,5-trinitro-1,3,5-triazinane(RDX)and β-1,3,5,7-tetranitro-1,3,5-tetrazocane(β-HMX),cis-1,3,4,6-tetranitro-octahydroimidazo-[4,5-d]imidazole(bicyclo-HMX,BCHMX)and e-2,4,6,8,10,12-hexanitro-2,4,6,8,10,12-hexaazaisowurtzitane(e-HNIW,CL-20)which are bonded by polyfluoro-elastomers,polydimethyl-siloxane,poly-glycidyl azide,polyisobutylene,polystyrene-butadiene,poly-acrylonitrile-butadiene and hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene in addition to a melt cast compositions based on 2,4,*** thirty two of these PBXs the relationships are specified and analyzed between heats of their combustion and relative explosive strengths;by means of these relationships it might be possible to estimate,which groupings in the macromolecule of binder could be liable to their primary fission in the PBXs ***,for forty two of these explosives,the relationships are described and analyzed between their enthalpies of formation and impact sensitivities;here is especially attention paid to PBXs filled by *** rate constants from Vacuum Stability Test(VST)of four nitramines and twenty PBXs are introduced into relationships with their enthalpies of *** to all the mentioned cases,increasing of energy content of the studied explosives leads to increase of the relative explosive strength or initiation reactivity,*** with the opposite trend,the outputs of VST are for BCHMX,where in PBXs are matrices with the esteric plasticizers or the energetic poly-glycidyl *** of RDX or HMX,respectively,into the BCHX PBXs gives ternary PBXs whose thermal stability,in the sense of applied VST,is higher comparing to the original binary explosives.

A protected semi-enclosed embayment,the Eastern Harbor(EH),is situated in the central sector of the Mediterranean coast of Alexandria,*** is a famous fishing dock and water-sport center and its importance arose after the discovery of the Ptolemaic royal quarter of ancient *** protect this national treasure and improve its environmental health,the untreated anthropogenic effluents,which continued for decades into the EH since 1992,must be totally ***,it is an important issue to continually monitor and asses the environmental status of the *** sediment texture,total organic carbon,and the accumulation,distribution,and ecological risks of Cd,Cr,Pb,As,Hg and A1 were determined with a total of 14 surficial sediments samples collected in the EH during *** contents were compared to the literature data to assess the pollution status of *** factors,Degree of contamination(mCd)and potential ecological risk were calculated as a criterion of possible *** mCd calculation produces an overall average value for a range of pollutants,in the present study the contamination factor that provides a measure of the degree of overall contamination in the surface layers in a particular sampling site may provide a better indication of the state of pollution in the EH sediments than other indicators.
