Topological defects on solutions of the non-relativistic equation for extended double ring-shaped potential

In this study, we focus into the non-relativistic wave equation described by the Schrodinger equation, specifically considering angular-dependent potentials within the context of a topological defect background generated by a cosmic string. Our primary goal is to explore quasi-exactly solvable problems by introducing an extended ring-shaped potential. We utilize the Bethe ansatz method to determine the angular solutions, while the radial solutions are obtained using special functions. Our findings demonstrate that the eigenvalue solutions of quantum particles are intricately influenced by the presence of the topological defect of the cosmic string,resulting in significant modifications compared to those in a flat space background. The existence of the topological defect induces alterations in the energy spectra, disrupting ***, we extend our analysis to study the same problem in the presence of a ring-shaped potential against the background of another topological defect geometry known as a point-like global monopole. Following a similar procedure, we obtain the eigenvalue solutions and analyze the results. Remarkably, we observe that the presence of a global monopole leads to a decrease in the energy levels compared to the flat space results. In both cases, we conduct a thorough numerical analysis to validate our findings.

LHCb anomaly in B→K~*μ^+μ^- optimised observables and potential of Z' model

Over the last few years LHCb found some discrepancies in b → sl^＋l^-FCNC transitions, including anomalies in the angular observables of B→K^＊μ^＋μ^-, particularly in P′5, in the low dimuon mass region. Recently,these anomalies have been confirmed by Belle, CMS and ATLAS. As direct evidence of physics beyond the Standard Model is absent so far, these anomalies are being interpreted as indirect hints of new physics. In this context, we study the implications of the family non-universal Z′ model for the angular observables P（1,2,3）, P′（4,5,6） and newly proposed lepton flavor universality violation observables, Q（4,5）, in the B → K^＊（→Kπ）μ^＋μ^-decay channel in the low dimuon mass region. To see the variation in the values of these observables from their Standard Model values, we have chosen different scenarios for the Z′ model. It is found that these angular observables are sensitive to the values of the parameters of the Z′ model. We have also found that with the present parametric space of the Z′ model,the P′5-anomaly could be accommodated. However, more statistics on the anomalies in the angular observables are helpful to reveal the status of the considered model and, in general, the nature of new physics.

An Integrated Framework for Cloud Service Selection Based on BOM and TOPSIS

Many businesses have experienced difficulties in selecting a cloud service provider(CSP)due to the rapid advancement of cloud computing services and the proliferation of *** independent criteria should be considered when evaluating the services provided by different *** is a case of multi-criteria decision-making(MCDM).This paper presents an integrated MCDM cloud service selection framework for determining the most appropriate service provider based on the best only method(BOM)and technique for order of preference by similarity to ideal solution(TOPSIS).To obtain the weights of criteria and the relative importance of CSPs based on each criterion,BOM performs pairwise comparisons of criteria and also for alternatives on each criterion,and TOPSIS uses these weights to rank cloud *** evaluation and validation of the proposed framework have been carried out through a use-case model to prove its efficiency and ***,the developed framework was compared with the analytical hierarchical process(AHP),a popular MCDM approach,based on two perspectives:efficiency and *** to the research results,the proposed framework only requires 25%of the comparisons needed for the AHP ***,the proposed framework has a CR of 0%,whereas AHP has 38%.Thus,the proposed framework performs better than AHPwhen it comes to computation complexity and consistency,implying that it is more efficient and trustworthy.

Two-Dimensional Transition Metal Dichalcogenides and Their Charge Carrier Mobilities in Field-Effect Transistors

Two-dimensional(2D) materials have attracted extensive interest due to their excellent electrical, thermal,mechanical, and optical properties. Graphene has been one of the most explored 2D materials. However, its zero band gap has limited its applications in electronic devices. Transition metal dichalcogenide(TMDC), another kind of 2D material,has a nonzero direct band gap(same charge carrier momentum in valence and conduction band) at monolayer state,promising for the efficient switching devices(e.g., field-effect transistors). This review mainly focuses on the recent advances in charge carrier mobility and the challenges to achieve high mobility in the electronic devices based on 2DTMDC materials and also includes an introduction of 2D materials along with the synthesis techniques. Finally, this review describes the possible methodology and future prospective to enhance the charge carrier mobility for electronic devices.

The recent global outbreak of COVID-19 damaged the world health systems,human health,economy,and daily life *** of the countries was ready to face this emerging health *** professionals were not able to predict its rise and next move,as well as the future curve and impact on lives in case of a similar pandemic situation *** created huge chaos globally,for longer and the world is still struggling to come up with any suitable *** the better use of advanced technologies,such as artificial intelligence and deep learning,may aid healthcare practitioners in making reliable COVID-19 *** proposed research would provide a prediction model that would use Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning to improve the diagnostic process by reducing unreliable diagnostic interpretation of chest CT scans and allowing clinicians to accurately discriminate between patients who are sick with COVID-19 or pneumonia,and also empowering health professionals to distinguish chest CT scans of healthy *** efforts done by the Saudi government for the management and control of COVID-19 are remarkable,however;there is a need to improve the diagnostics process for better *** used a data set from Saudi regions to build a prediction model that can help distinguish between COVID-19 cases and regular cases from CT *** proposed methodology was compared to current models and found to be more accurate(93 percent)than the existing methods.

A sensitive and selective method employing chemiluminescence(CL)coupled with flow injection(FI)is reported for nalbuphine hydrochloride(NAL)assay in pharmaceutical *** enhancement effect of NAL on the CL reaction between tris(2,2′-bipyridyl)ruthenium(II)chloride-diperiodatocuprate(III){Ru[(bpy)_(3)]^(2+)-Cu(III)complex}in acidic medium is used as analytical *** optimal conditions of the CL reaction were sulfuric acid 1.0×10^(−3) mol/L,Ru[(bpy)s]2+7.5×10^(−5) mol/L,Cu(III)/Ag(III)complexes 4.0×10^(−4)/5.0×10^(−4) mol/L,sample loop volume of 120µL and flow rate of 2.5 mL/*** sensitivities of the method in terms of detection(S/N=3)and quantification(S/N=10)limits are 5×10^(−4) and 0.001 ppm(1 ppm=1 mg/L),*** linear response of the instrument in the form of CL intensity with respect to NAL concentration is over the range 0.001-15.0 ppm(R^(2)=0.9999)with relative standard deviation from 0.8%to 3.2%and injection throughput of 120 injection/*** applications of the method include the quantitative analysis of NAL in pharmaceutical injection *** and the average results of the proposed method are not significantly different from the results of a reported method by applying F-and paired student *** most likely CL reaction mechanism is written in accordance with spectrophotometric and CL studies.

Delivering audiovisual content with MPEG-21-enabled cross-layer QoS adaptation

Future multimedia communication systems have to support the user’s needs, the terminal capabilities, the content specification and the underlying networking technologies. The related protocols and applications must be designed from this integration perspective in a cross-layer centric manner. In this paper, we propose an implementation of a streaming service (e.g., Television over IP service) with a unified QoS management concept that enables an IP driven integration of different system components (terminal, user, content, and network). The MPEG-21 framework is used to provide a common support for imple- menting and managing the end-to-end QoS. The main focus of this paper is on the architecture design, protocols specification and implementation evaluation. Performance evaluations using PSNR and SSIM objective video quality metrics show the benefit of the proposed MPEG-21-enabled cross-layer adaptation.

Unified Computational Modelling for Healthcare Device Security Assessment

This article evaluates the security techniques that are used to maintainthe healthcare devices, and proposes a mathematical model to list these in theorder of priority and preference. To accomplish the stated objective, the articleuses the Fuzzy Analytic Network Process (ANP) integrated with Technical forOrder Preference by Similarities to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) to find the suitablealternatives of the security techniques for securing the healthcare devices fromtrespassing. The methodology is enlisted to rank the alternatives/ techniquesbased on their weights’ satisfaction degree. Thereafter, the ranks of the alternatives determine the order of priority for the techniques used in healthcare *** findings of our analysis cite that Machine Learning (ML) based healthcaredevices obtained the highest priority among all the other security *** the developers, manufacturers and researchers should focus on the MLtechniques for securing the healthcare devices. The results drawn through theaid of the suggested mathematical model would be a corroborative referencefor the developers and the manufacturers in assessing the security techniques ofthe healthcare devices.

Estimation of Cloud Node Acquisition

Over the past decade, there has been a paradigm shift leading consumers and enterprises to the adoption of cloud computing services. Even though most cases are still in the early stages of transition, there has been a steady increase in the implementation of the pay-as-you-go or pay-as-you-grow models offered by cloud providers. Whether applied as an extension of virtual infrastructure, software, or platform as a service, many users are still challenged by the estimation of adequate resource allocation and the wide variations in pricing. Customers require a simple method of predicting future demand in terms of the number of nodes to be allocated in the cloud environment. In this paper, we review and discuss existing methodologies for estimating the demand for cloud nodes and their corresponding pricing policies. Based on our review, we propose a novel approach using the Hidden Markov Model to estimate the acquisition of cloud nodes.

THAPE: A Tunable Hybrid Associative Predictive Engine Approach for Enhancing Rule Interpretability in Association Rule Learning for the Retail Sector

Association rule learning(ARL)is a widely used technique for discovering relationships within ***,it often generates excessive irrelevant or ambiguous ***,post-processing is crucial not only for removing irrelevant or redundant rules but also for uncovering hidden associations that impact other ***,several post-processing methods have been proposed,each with its own strengths and *** this paper,we propose THAPE(Tunable Hybrid Associative Predictive Engine),which combines descriptive and predictive *** leveraging both techniques,our aim is to enhance the quality of analyzing generated *** includes removing irrelevant or redundant rules,uncovering interesting and useful rules,exploring hidden association rules that may affect other factors,and providing backtracking ability for a given *** proposed approach offers a tailored method that suits specific goals for retailers,enabling them to gain a better understanding of customer behavior based on factual transactions in the target *** applied THAPE to a real dataset as a case study in this paper to demonstrate its *** this application,we successfully mined a concise set of highly interesting and useful association *** of the 11,265 rules generated,we identified 125 rules that are particularly relevant to the business *** identified rules significantly improve the interpretability and usefulness of association rules for decision-making purposes.
