Curcumin preconditioning enhances the efficacy of adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells to accelerate healing of burn wounds

Background:Following recent findings from our group that curcumin preconditioning augments the therapeutic efficacy of adipose-derived stem cells in the healing of diabetic wounds in rats,we aimed to investigate the regenerative effects of curcumin preconditioned adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells(ASCs)for better recovery of acid inflicted burns in this ***:ASCs were preconditioned with 5μm curcumin for 24 hours and assessed for proliferation,migration,paracrine release potential and gene expression comparative to naive ***,the healing capacity of curcumin preconditioned ASCs(Cur-ASCs)versus naive ASCs was examined using acidic wounds in *** this,acid inflicted burns of 20 mm in diameter were made on the back of male Wistar ***,2×10^(6) cells of Cur-ASCs and naive ASCs were intradermally injected in the wound periphery(n=6)for comparison with an untreated saline ***-transplantation,wounds were macroscopically analysed and photographed to evaluate the percentage of wound closure and period of *** wound biopsies were excised and used for histological evaluation and expression analysis of wound healing markers at molecular level by quantitative PCR and western ***:We found that Cur-ASCs exhibited greater proliferation,migration and paracrine potential in ***,Cur-ASCs showed more effective recovery than naive ASCs as exhibited by gross morphology,faster wound closure and earlier ***’s trichrome and hematoxylin and eosin staining demonstrated the improved architecture of the healing burns,as evidenced by reduced infiltration of inflammatory cells,compact collagen and marked granulation in Cur-ASC treated *** these findings,molecular assessment showed significantly reduced expressions of pro-inflammatory factors(interleukin-1 beta,interleukin-6,tumor necrosis factor alpha)a with striking upsurge of an oxidative marker(superoxide dismutase 1),p

Band gap engineered polymeric-inorganic nanocomposite catalysts:Synthesis, isothermal stability, photocatalytic activity and photovoltaic performance

Polymeric-inorganic nanocomposite catalysts were synthesized by facile one-pot chemical polymerization of pyrrole in the presence of titanium dioxide nanoparticles. The electrical, optical, photovoltaic performance of dye sensitized solar cell（DSSC） and visible light driven photocatalytic activities of the nanocomposite were investigated. The prepared nanocomposite displays excellent photo-activity, attaining 100% degradation of methyl orange dye in 60 min under visible light source while 55% for pure TiO_2 under similar experimental conditions. The photovoltaic performance of the polypyrrole-titanium dioxide（PPy-TiO_2） nanocomposite has a 51.4% improvement with a photo-conversion efficiency of 8.07% as compared to pure TiO_2 based DSSC. By comparing the physical mixture of the PPy-TiO_2 nanocomposite and pristine TiO_2, the enhanced activity of the PPy-TiO_2 nanocomposite can be attributed to the reduced charge transfer resistance, outstanding electrical conductance of the PPy, the nano-sized structure of TiO_2 and their synergetic effect. Furthermore, the PPy-TiO_2 nanocomposite shows excellent electrical conductivity and isothermal stability under ambient conditions below 110？C.

Parameters Calibration of the Combined Hardening Rule through Inverse Analysis for Nylock Nut Folding Simulation

Locking nuts are widely used in industry and any defects from their manufacturing may cause loosening of the connection during their service *** this study,simulations of the folding process of a nut’s flange made from AISI 1040 steel are *** the bilinear isotropic hardening rule,Chaboche’s nonlinear kinematic hardening rule is employed with associated flow rule and Hill48 yield criterion to set a plasticity *** bilinear isotropic hardening rule’s parameters are determined by means of a monotonic tensile *** Chaboche’s parameters are determined by using a low cycle tension/compression test by applying curve fitting methods on the low cycle fatigue ***,the parameter calibrations are performed in the finite element simulations by using an optimization approach based on the inverse *** accuracy for the nut is of primary concern due to the tolerance constraints of the nut *** diameter and height measurements of the folded locking nut are compared with those obtained from the optimized *** results reveal that the folding dimensions can be predicted more accurately when the model parameters are determined by using the combined hardening *** calibrated parameters are presented for the folding and cycling deformation processes.

Cloud computing is seeking attention as a new computing paradigm to handle operations more efficiently and *** computing uses dynamic resource provisioning and de-provisioning in a virtualized *** load on the cloud data centers is growing day by day due to the rapid growth in cloud computing *** in cloud computing is one of the fundamental properties,and elastic load balancing automatically distributes incoming load to multiple virtual *** work is aimed to introduce efficient resource provisioning and de-provisioning for better load *** this article,a model is proposed in which the fuzzy logic approach is used for load balancing to avoid underload and overload of resources.A Simulator in matlab is used to test the effectiveness and correctness of the proposed *** simulation results have shown that our proposed intelligent cloud-based load balancing system empowered with fuzzy logic is better than previously published approaches.

Exploring aramid as emerging contender for CO_2 capture

To prevent CO_2 accumulation in the atmosphere generated from scorching of fossil fuels, carbon capture and sequestration(CCS) technology is considered as a potential route to mitigate the emissions of CO_2 from reaching the atmosphere. Power generation from sources such as gas, coal and biomass can fulfill the energy demand more readily than many other sources of electricity production. Thus these sources may be retained as important alternative option in the global energy cycle. In order to curtail CO_2, porous aramid network was fabricated by the condensation of 1,3,5-benzenetricarbonyl trichloride and 1,3-phenylenediamine in 1,4-dioxane solvent. Aramid was characterized for various analyses including FTIR, XRD, TGA, BET surface area and pore size analysis, FESEm and CO_2 adsorption measurements. Excellent thermal stability was provided by strong amide linkages in the polymer backbone. Optimum CO_2 uptake of aramid was achieved to be 23.14 mg·g^(-1) at 273 K at 0.1 mPa. The basic amide groups of network structure showed greater affinity for CO_*** thermal stability of aramid makes it a promising sorbent for CO_2 capture in adverse conditions.

Probing the potential of polyester for CO_2 capture

Global warming, the major environmental issue confronted by humanity today, is caused by rising level of green house gases. Carbon capture and storage technologies offer potential for tapering CO2 emission in the atmosphere. Adsorption is believed to be a promising technology for CO2 capture. For this purpose, a polyester was synthesized by polycondensation of1,3,5-benzenetricarbonyl trichloride and cyanuric acid in pyridine and dichloromethane mixture. The polymer was then characterized using FT-IR, TGA, BET surface area and pore size analysis, FESEm and CO2 adsorption measurements. The CO2 adsorption capacities of the polyester were evaluated at a pressure of 1 bar and two different temperatures（273 and 298 K）.The performance of these materials to adsorb CO2 at atmospheric pressure was measured by optimum CO2 uptake of 0.244 mmol/g at 273 K. The synthesized polyester, therefore, has the potential to be exploited as CO2 adsorbent in pre-combustion capture process.

This study addresses the liquid-liquid extraction behavior of phosphorus from a sulfuric acid solution using benzyl dimethyl amine(BDmA)in *** extraction equilibria investigated with varied BDmA concentrations could reveal the formation of 3[BDmA]·[H_(3)PO_(4)]^(-)complex in the organic *** thermodynamic properties determined at various temperatures indicated that the process was exothermic with a calculated enthalpy(△H^(Θ))of−24.0 kJ·mol^(−1).The organic-to-aqueous phase(O/A)volume ratio was varied to elucidate the quantitative extraction of *** mcCabe-Thiele diagram plotted for the extraction isotherm was validated for the requirement of three counter-current stages in the extraction at an O/A volume ratio of 2.0/*** back-extraction of phosphorus from the loaded organic phase was quantitatively achieved by contacting 4.0 mol·L−1 H2SO4 solution in three stages of counter-current contact at an O/A volume ratio of 3/*** study can be applied to remove phosphorus from the sulfuric acid leach solutions of monazite processing,and many other solutions.

Hidden Hierarchy Based on Cipher-Text Attribute Encryption for IoT Data Privacy in Cloud

most research works nowadays deal with real-time Internetof Things (IoT) data. However, with exponential data volume increases,organizations need help storing such humongous amounts of IoT data incloud storage systems. moreover, such systems create security issues whileefficiently using IoT and Cloud Computing technologies. Ciphertext-Policy Attribute-Based Encryption (CP-ABE) has the potential to make IoT datamore secure and reliable in various cloud storage services. Cloud-assisted IoTssuffer from two privacy issues: access policies (public) and super polynomialdecryption times (attributed mainly to complex access structures). We havedeveloped a CP-ABE scheme in alignment with a Hidden HierarchyCiphertext-Policy Attribute-Based Encryption (HH-CP-ABE) access structure embedded within two policies, i.e., public policy and sensitive *** this proposed scheme, information is only revealed when the user’sinformation is satisfactory to the public policy. Furthermore, the proposedscheme applies to resource-constrained devices already contracted tasks totrusted servers (especially encryption/decryption/searching). Implementingthe method and keywords search resulted in higher access policy privacy andincreased security. The new scheme introduces superior storage in comparisonto existing systems (CP-ABE, H-CP-ABE), while also decreasing storage costsin HH-CP-ABE. Furthermore, a reduction in time for key generation canalso be ***, the scheme proved secure, even in handling IoT datathreats in the Decisional Bilinear Diffie-Hellman (DBDH) case.
