Severe aplastic anemia(SAA)is a lethal disease that has been shown to be cured by allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation(HSCT)dating back to the transplant’s early days[1].It is also the prototype of transplantation in its original means,as in HSCT for SAA the malfunctioning organ—the hematopoietic system in the bone marrow is replaced by a functional organ similarly to any other organ transplantation process.

Purpose：The aim of this study was to test and expand the Motivation of Marathoners Scale（MOMS） model（Masters et al.,1993）.Methods：The MOMS questionnaire was distributed to 306 male and female marathon runners（age range：20–77 years） with experience in marathon running（range：1–44 runs）.A confirmatory factor analysis（CFA） revealed that the original Purpose：The aim of this study was to test and expand the Motivation of Marathoners Scale（MOMS） model（Masters et al.,1993）.Methods：The MOMS questionnaire was distributed to 306 male and female marathon runners（age range：20-77 years） with experience in marathon running（range：1-44 runs）.A confirmatory factor analysis（CFA） revealed that the original model failed to fit the ***,exploratory factor analysis（EFA） was performed to test the best factorial solution for the current data,and a subsequent CFA was performed on the revised factorial ***,a series of EFAs using maximum likelihood factor extraction method were ***：The best structure solution for model-data fit resulted in 11 factors：psychological coping-emotional-related coping,psychological coping-everyday-life management,life meaning,self-esteem,recognition,affiliation,weight concerns,general health orientation-reduced disease prevalence and longevity,general health orientation-keep fit,competition,and personal goal ***：This study provides a sound and solid framework for studying motivation for physically demanding tasks such as marathon runs,and needs to be similarly applied and tested in studies incorporating physical tasks which vary in mental demands.

土壤速效氮是影响作物生长发育的重要养分指标。野外原位可见近红外光谱(VIS-NIR)分析技术具有快速无损等特点,对速效氮的定量预测具有较好的应用前景。野外条件下进行原位光谱采集更节省人力物力,且为土壤养分实时传感器的开发提供了数据基础。但由于野外原位光谱中通常存在大量的无关环境因子干扰信息,易导致回归模型预测精度降低,达不到实用要求。针对位于以色列中部和北部的两个试验点共76个样本开展研究,提出利用Y-梯度广义最小二乘加权算法(Y-GLSW)对样本的野外原位VIS-NIR反射率光谱(350~2 500nm)进行滤波校正,以提高回归模型的预测能力。首先使用SG平滑、一阶导数变换、标准正态变换等常规方法对原始光谱进行预处理和变换;在此基础上再使用Y-GLSW构建滤波模型对变换后的光谱进行滤波校正;最后使用偏最小二乘回归算法(PLS-R)分别结合原始光谱RW、预处理变换后的光谱PPT和滤波校正后的光谱Y-GLSW建立回归分析模型对速效氮进行定量预测。结果表明:利用RW光谱建立的回归预测模型是不可靠的;利用PPT光谱建立的回归模型在测试集的相对分析误差(RPD)为1.41,解释总方差占实际总方差之比(SSR/SST)为0.57,模型具有一定的可靠性;Y-GLSW光谱建立的回归模型在测试集的RPD和SSR/SST分别为2.07和0.69,相对于PPT模型分别提高了46.81%和21.05%。因此,利用Y-GLSW对野外原位VIS-NIR光谱进行滤波校正,能够有效去除光谱中的无关信息数据,提高模型的预测精度和解释能力。

Atherosclerosis underlies the major causes of death in the Western World. Our main goal is to detect early changes of atherosclerosis and to identify subjects at highest cardiovascular risk thatmay aid in the development of prevention approaches and better management that will decrease cardiovascular morbidity andmortality. The new methods that are of interest include the advanced vascular ultrasound methods, the infra red and near infra red imaging techniques, the EndoPat device that reflects peripheral arterial tone, the electron beam computed tomography, the magnetic resonance imaging, and the molecular imaging techniques. In this review we will focus on the future of advanced imaging techniques that are being developed to detect early (pre-clinical) development of atherosclerosis.

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of the Chances program,a program that was established in 2004 in order to prevent juvenile delinquency among immigrant youth in *** research showed that immediately after the program ended,all participants stopped their delinquent *** current research tested the effectiveness of the program two and a half years later and explored the risk of or immunity to recidivism among graduates of the program.A sample of 145 graduates was asked to fill out a closed questionnaire examining the effectiveness of the program through self‐report questions about *** results were significant,showing that only three of the graduates(14%of the sample)continued to commit felons,while the great majority(86%)reintegrated into normative life within the community including school,employment,and army *** of disappointing their tutor were found central to the discontinuation of *** graduates also attributed other elements of the Chances program to their normative behavior and reintegration into normative *** implications of this study demonstrate that although the Chances program was designed to treat immigrant delinquent youth,its success can be relevant for treating native‐born delinquent youth as well.

The production of novel behavioral sequences that gives rise to animal innovation and creativity is one of the most intriguing aspects of behavioral evolution. Numerous studies have recently documented the abundance and diversity of innova- tive and creative behaviors between and within species, yet the ability to innovate or to act creatively has mainly been described and quantified as a measure of animals＇ cognitive ability without explicit reference to cognitive mechanisms that may account for these behaviors. Here we discuss the creative process from a computational point of view and suggest such a mechanistic frame- work. In light of recent research on human creativity, animal learning, and animal problem solving, we suggest that animal crea- tivity is best understood as the production of context-appropriate novel behavioral sequences, which may be facilitated by the ability to learn the regularities in the environment and to represent them hierarchically, allowing for generalization. We present a cognitive framework that we recently developed, which employs domain-general mechanisms and has been used in the modeling of a range of sequential behaviors, from animal foraging to language acquisition, and apply it to behavioral innovation. In a series of simulations, we show how innovation and creative behavior can be produced by this learning mechanism, as it constructs a network representing the statistical regularities of the environment. We use the simulations to demonstrate the role of particular cognitive parameters in this process and to highlight the effects of the learning dynamics and individual experience on creativity

We show that recently multi-messenger astronomy has provided compelling evidence that the bulk of high energy cosmic rays (CRs) are produced by highly relativistic narrow jets of plasmoids launched in core collapse of stripped-envelope massive stars to neutron stars and stellar mass black holes. Such events produce also a visible GRB if the jet happens to point in our direction. This has been long advocated by the cannon ball (CB) model of high energy CRs and GRBs, but the evidence has been provided only recently by what were widely believed to be unrelated discoveries. They include the very recent discovery of a knee around TeV in the energy spectrum of high energy CR electrons, the peak photon energy in the “brightest of all time” GRB221009A, and the failure of IceCube to detect high energy neutrinos from GRBs, including GRB221009A. They were all predicted by the cannonball (CB) model of high energy CRs and GRBs long before they were discovered in observations, despite a negligible probability to occur by chance.

MUC1, a tumor-associated antigen overexpressed in many carcinomas, represents a candidate of choice for cancer immunotherapy. Flagella-based MUC1 vaccines were tested in therapeutic setting in two aggressive breast cancer models, comprising the implantation of the 4T1-MUC1 cell line in either Balb/c, or Human MUC1 transgenic mice in which spontaneous metastases occurs. Recombinant flagella carrying only 7 amino acid of MUC1 elicited therapeutic activity, affecting both the growth of established growing tumors and the number of metastases. Higher therapeutic activity was achieved with an additional recombinant flagella designed with the SYFPEITHI algorithm. The vaccines triggered a Th1 response against MUC1 with no evident autoimmune response towards healthy MUC1-expressing tissues. Recombinant flagella carrying a 25-residue fragment of MUC1, induced the most effective response, as evidenced by a significant reduction of both the size and growth rate of the tumor as well as by the lower number of metastases, and expanding life span of vaccinated mice.
