Protective effects of Phyllanthus acidus(L.) Skeels leaf extracts on acetaminophen and thioacetamide induced hepatic injuries in Wistar rats

Objective:To investigate and compare the hepatoprotective effects of crude ethanolic and aqueous extracts of Phyllanthus acidus（L.） Skeels（***） leaves on acetaminophen（APAP） and thioacetamide（TAA） induced liver toxicity in wistar *** was the reference hepatoprotective ***:In two different sets of experiments,the *** extracts （200 and 400 mg/kg,body weight） and silymarin（100 mg/kg,body weight） were given orally for 7 days and a single dose of APAP（2 g/kg,per oral） or TAA（100 mg/kg,subcutaneous） were given to *** level of serum aspartate transaminase（AST）,alanine transaminase（ALT）,alkaline phosphatase（ALP）,total bilirubin and total protein were monitored to assess hepatotoxicity and ***:APAP or TAA administration caused severe hepatic damage in rats as evident from significant rise in serum AST,ALT,ALP,total bilirubin and concurrent depletion in total serum *** *** extracts and silymarin prevented the toxic effects of APAP or TAA on the above serum parameters indicating the hepatoprotective *** aqueous extract was found to be more potent than the corresponding ethanolic extract against both *** phenolic and flavonoid content（175.02±4.35 and 74.68±1.28,respectively） and 2,2-diphenyl-1- picrylhydrazil（DPPH）[IC50=（33.2±0.31）μg/mL]scavenging potential was found maximum with aqueous extract as compared to ethanolic ***:The results of present study suggests that the aqueous extract of *** leaves has significant hepatoprotective activity on APAP and TAA induced hepatotoxicity,which might be associate with its high phenolic and flavonoid content and antioxidant properties.

The surface of the Moon is highly cratered due to impacts of meteorites, asteroids, comets and other celestial objects. The origin, size, structure, age and composition vary among craters. We study a total of 339 craters observed by the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera （LROC）. Out of these 339 craters, 214 craters are known （named craters included in the IAU Gazetteer of Planetary Nomenclature） and 125 craters are unknown （craters that are not named and objects that are absent in the IAU Gazetteer）. We employ images taken by LROC at the North and South Poles and near side of the Moon. We report for the first time the study of unknown craters, while we also review the study of known craters conducted earlier by previous researchers. Our study is focused on measurements of diameter, depth, latitude and longitude of each crater for both known and unknown craters. The diameter measurements are based on considering the Moon to be a spherical body. The LROC website also provides a plot which enables us to measure the depth and diameter. We found that out of 214 known craters, 161 craters follow a linear relationship between depth （d） and diameter （D）, but 53 craters do not follow this linear relationship. We study physical dimensions of these 53 craters and found that either the depth does not change significantly with diameter or the depths are extremely high relative to diameter （conical）. Similarly, out of 125 unknown craters, 78 craters follow the linear relationship between depth （d） and diameter （D） but 47 craters do not follow the linear relationship. We propose that the craters following the scaling law of depth and diameter, also popularly known as the linear relationship between d and D, are formed by the impact of meteorites having heavy metals with larger dimension, while those with larger diameter but less depth are formed by meteorites/celestial objects having low density material but larger diameter. In today’s world,image processing techniques play a crucial role in the prognosis and diagnosis of various diseases due to the development of several precise and accurate methods for medical *** analysis of medical images is essential for doctors,as manual investigation often leads to inter-observer *** research aims to enhance healthcare by enabling the early detection of diabetic retinopathy through an efficient image processing *** proposed hybridized method combines Modified Inertia Weight Particle Swarm Optimization(MIWPSO)and Fuzzy C-Means clustering(FCM)*** FCM does not incorporate spatial neighborhood features,making it highly sensitive to noise,which significantly affects segmentation *** method incorporates a modified FCM that includes spatial functions in the fuzzy membership matrix to eliminate *** results demonstrate that the proposed FCM-MIWPSO method achieves highly precise and accurate medical image ***,segmented images are classified as benign or malignant using the Decision Tree-Based Temporal Association Rule(DT-TAR)*** analysis with existing state-of-the-art models indicates that the proposed FCM-MIWPSO segmentation technique achieves a remarkable accuracy of 98.42%on the dataset,highlighting its significant impact on improving diagnostic capabilities in medical imaging.

Optimization of organic light emitting diode for HAT-CN based nano-structured device by study of injection characteristics at anode/organic interface

To increase the current density of the hole only device, 1, 4, 5, 8, 9, 11-hexaazatriphenylene-hexacarbonitrile (HAT-CN) material has been inserted in the device at the indium tin oxide (ITO)/organic interface. Since HATCN molecule can withdraw electrons, it can alter electronic properties of the electrodes and hence inserted between the organic/metal interfaces. This paper deals with the optimization of the thickness of organic-metal layers to enhance the efficiency. Also, efforts have been made to increase the current density and reduce the operating voltage of the device. The material 2, 7-bis [N, N-bis (4- methoxy-phenyl) amino]-9, 9-spirobifluorene (Meo-Spiro-TPD) is used to simulate the hole only device because it is a thermally stable hole transport material. Simulated results shows that better current density values can be achieved compared to fabricated one by optimizing the organic metal layer thickness. The best optimized layer thickness of 22 nm for Alq3, 25 nm for *CBP doped with Ir(ppy)3, 9 nm for Meo-Spiro TPD and 4 nm for HAT-CN which results in current density of 0.12 A/cm2 with a reduction in operating voltage by approximately 2 V.
