Optical emission spectroscopic measurement of trace rare gas is carried out to determine the density of nitrogen （N） atom, in a nitrogen plasma, as a function of filling pressure and Rf power applied. 2% of argon, used as an actinometer, is mixed with nitrogen. In order to normalize the changes in the excitation cross section and electron energy distribution function at different operational conditions, the ar-I emission line at 419.83 nm is used, which is of nearly the same excitation efficiency coefficient as that of the nitrogen emission line at 493.51 nm. It is observed that the emission intensity of the selected argon and atomic nitrogen lines increases with both pressure and Rf power, as does the nitrogen atomic density.

In this article,a weak Galerkin finite element method for the Laplace equation using the harmonic polynomial space is proposed and *** idea of using the P_(k)-harmonic polynomial space instead of the full polynomial space P_(k)is to use a much smaller number of basis functions to achieve the same accuracy when k≥*** optimal rate of convergence is derived in both H^(1)and L^(2)*** experiments have been conducted to verify the theoretical error *** addition,numerical comparisons of using the P_(2)-harmonic polynomial space and using the standard P_(2)polynomial space are presented.

BACKGROUND:Aneurysm of the cystic artery is no common,and it is a rare cause of *** o reported cases are pseudoaneurysms resulting from eithe an inflammatory process in the abdomen or abdomina trauma. METHOD:We report a healthy individual who developed hemobilia and acute pancreatitis associated with cysti artery aneurysm. RESULT:The patient was managed with angio-embolization with an uneventful post-embolization course. CONCLUSIONS:Visceral artery aneurysms are rare and can rupture with potentially grave outcome due to excessive *** embolization as a common method of treatment for visceral artery aneurysms was used in ou patient with good outcome.

This paper presents the fabrication and a spectroscopic study of a stable radio- frequency dielectric barrier discharge （Rf DBD） in ar with a novel dielectric, anodic alumina, at atmospheric pressure. Dielectric electrodes are fabricated from commercially available low cost impure aluminum strips by a two-step anodization process in 0.3 M solution of oxalic acid. The discharge is found to be stable with excellent spatial uniformity for the Rf input power range of 30～80 W. Excitation and rotational temperatures measured in the experiment range of 1472～3255 K and 434～484 K, respectively, as the input power changes from 30 W to 80 W. These temperature ranges are suitable for surface modification applications.

Stripper gas and terminal potential play a key role for the charge state distribution in a tandem pelletron accelerator. The knowledge of this distribution is important for experiments performed on tandem accelerators. The charge state distribution of B, C, Si, Ni, Cu and Au beams is measured by using ar as stripper gas, and terminal potential is varied from 0.3 to 3.0 MV on 5UDH-2 tandem pelletron accelerator installed at the National Centre for Physics, Islamabad. The individual charge state is measured after the switching magnet at 15° in high-energy portion. It is observed that the higher charge states are stable in the range of lower and middle atomic masses of periodic table, whereas higher atomic mass(Au) shows beam current instability in higher charge states. for carbon,the charge distribution at 1.7 MV terminal potential by varying stripper gas pressure is also studied, which resulted in decreased overall transmission with good current value for higher charge states.

Mechanical properties of Al/a-C nanocomposite thin films synthesized using a plasma focus device

The Al/a-C nanocomposite thin films are synthesized on Si substrates using a dense plasma focus device with alu- minum fitted anode and operating with CH4/ar admixture. X-ray diffractometer results confirm the formation of metallic crystalline Al phases using different numbers of focus shots. Raman analyses show the formation of D and G peaks for all thin film samples, confirming the presence of a-C in the nanocomposite thin films. The formation of Al/a-C nanocomposite thin films is further confirmed using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis. The scanning electron microscope results show that the deposited thin films consist of nanoparticles and their agglomerates. The sizes of th agglomerates increase with increasing numbers of focus deposition shots. The nanoindentation results show the variations in hardness and elastic modulus values of nanocomposite thin film with increasing the number of focus shots. Maximum values of hardness and elastic modulus of the composite thin film prepared using 20 focus shots are found to be about 10.7 GPa and 189.2 GPa, respectively.

Objective:To study the effect of three medicinal plants on growth,survival and immunoprotection in Mystus montanus ***:The three experimental groups of fish were fed with a diet supplemented of Ocimum tenuiflorum,Zingiber officinale and Allium cepa(0.5 g each),and control group was fed without supplementation of herbal *** 45 d of feeding the experimental group fishes were injected with 0.5 mL of Aeromonas hydrophila and were supplemented with herbal *** the control group fishes were injected with 0.5 mL of physiological saline solution ***:The blood samples were collected for haemotological analysis after 7 d of post *** results showed that the haematological parameters of haemoglobin,serum glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase,serum glutamic pyruvic transaminase,serum glucose,red blood cell and white blood cell were found to be more in challenged *** survival rate of pathogen challenged fish maintained on the herbal diet is better than those in the control group which is supplemented with non-herbal ***:These results indicated that herbal diet is useful as a growth promoter and for disease resistance of Mystus montanus against Aeromonas hydrophila infection.
